Review: I purchased my cell phone through a local Wireless Zone. Subsequently, the insurance coverage I pay monthly for is provided by Global Warranty Group. Recently, my Blackberry 9930 had battery and performance issues that made the phone unusable. I took it by the store and they agreed the phone was no longer working and that I should file an insurance claim to obtain a replacement. I was told I had two options to get a new phone. The first, I would send back the defective phone, pay my deductible and once they received the defective phone, my replacement would be shipped. The other option, which I was told would get me the replacement phone the fastest, was the insurance company would place a $275.00 hold on my credit card and ship my replacement phone immediately. Once they received the defective phone, the hold would come off my card. If they didn't receive the phone, I would be charged $275.00. Since I need my phone for work, I chose the second option.

At this point, it has been 17 days since my replacement phone was ordered. 17 days they have been holding $275.00 of my money and I still don't have a replacement phone. I have tried calling Global Warrant Group numerous times and they cannot give me any information as to the status of my phone. Each person I have spoken to seems utterly clueless as to where my phone is. Today I did a little research about the company and it seems this is a common issue. I am getting the sense that they are trying to scam me out of my money. I pay a monthly fee for the insurance and when it comes time to use it, they make it impossible. Wireless Zone said there is nothing they can do. They only sell the phones, the insurance is not their responsibility.

Right now, I have no phone (I was given a temporary phone, but that is limited in it's capability) and out $275.00. I don't understand how nobody at this company can tell me where my phone is? Their Track A Claim website had this information:

That's it. Domino's Pizza has a more accurate website. I can know exactly where my pizza is, but my phone? I need help to get my replacement phone asap, so I can get my $275.00 back.Desired Settlement: I want my replacement phone. Review: I purchased insurance for my galaxy note 3 threw this company I paid the full year of insurance which was around 138 dollars I lost my phone they told me to pay a 100 dollar deductible and I would have my phone within 48 hours. I called them to check status of my phone they told me they did not have my phone in stock and that I would receive a check instead for the amount of 700 dollars and that it shouldn't take more than 10 days. That was on January [redacted] 2014 still no check and they say that dont know when I will receive it just that its processing I call a few times a week and get no where I am starting to think there is no check coming.Desired Settlement: I would like the check I was promised of 700$ plus a check for my deductible and insurance premium that I paid because I have waited alot longer than the 48 hours they promised.

Review: Cell phone was sent to company because you could not hear anything unless it was on speaker phone. It took two weeks for Global Warranty Group to get back to us. It then took another two weeks to find out the phone could not be fixed and they would be sending us $350. to purchase a replacement. The check would be in the mail in the next 3 days. I went to [redacted] Verizon and purchased another phone. It was aggravating because a new phone cost $550. [redacted] finally agreed to sell the Razor M for $350. because that was the amount the refund would be. It is now the end of March and we have not received the money. I have contacted Global nearly a dozen times. Every time, hearing the same story, it is being looked into or the money is on the way. I am more than frustrated especially to find out several customers are having the same problems.Desired Settlement: At least $350.00

Review: I purchased the Samsung Galaxy 3 phone from [redacted] and purchased the warranty through Global Warranty Group, as was suggested by [redacted]. I have been paying into this "warranty" for a year and a half since my new contract started. On June [redacted], my phone broke, I started the claim procedure as discussed. I was to return my phone and upon arrival of my phone, and because my phone was obsolete, they offered me a refund cheque of $550.00 I went out and purchased a new phone, expecting to receive my refund cheque within 48 hours. I call daily and email daily and am told it has been sent to an Escalation Representative and with the high number of claims they have, I have to have patience in waiting. They have no guess as to when I will receive a refund. I logged onto the website today and it shows CLAIM CLOSED. I have emailed in response to this and they said, that it just shows that, but, it's not closed.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my refund cheque of $550.00 given to me ASAP as I was promised.

Review: I have filed a claim through global warranty group wireless protection program on 3/**/14 concerning my cell phone a week ago. It was stolen I filed a police report and submitted to them as requested. After submitting my claim I was told I would be contacted in 24-72 hours about my claim.......Nobody has contacted me at all about my claim and it has been a week since I filed the claim. I was also told to call [redacted] which was sold to New Wave when I contacted them the lady that answered told me they no longer deal with GWG due to poor experience in the past. I have made several phone calls regarding my claim and several associates keep telling me that no claim has been filed and then one associate I spoke with told me that the claim was filed Tuesday 3/**/14 and I would receive my phone Thursday 3/**/14 as of 3/**/14 I still have not received my phone or a phone call about my claim. I was told there is a 100 dollar deductable for the claim and I gave them my debit card number over the phone to process the claim as well. Today 3/**/14 I called again about my claim and there again I was told that they would look into it and call me back. I asked if I could have a number to the claims office I was told by an associate that the claims department does not have a number to call but they would call me. Now how does one have a number that can call out but not a number that can call in. My cell phone is my work so I am losing alot of business through this period........very fustrated.......Called again today the lady I spoke with told me again that she did not see a claim filed and she would put a request in for someone to call me back within 24-72 hours........same run around again from the start.....Desired Settlement: I want my phone replaced ASAP!!!!!!!! Review: This company sells warrantys for cellphones at my local verizon store and I purchased 3 policy's for my children's phones...I made a claim back in thanksgiving of 2013 on behalf of my college age daughter for a iPhone 5 cellphone which they charged me a 150.00 deduct able for within a few weeks...this phone was no longer carried by them so they agreed to send a 650.00 check to cover the cost of a new iPhone...they said it would take about 4 weeks to process this refund...for reference her ph number is ###-###-####... As of this date the global warranty group has never made good on their promise to reimburse me for the insurance claim....have tried to call about 10 times at least and they always give me the same runaround about it's still processing.WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS NO LESS THEN INSURANCE FRAUD!!!Desired Settlement: Verizon wireless should drop this non-service company

They have said this before that my settlement is being processed, ( for 4 months now) why would I expect their response to be any different?...I will believe it when I see it and the check is cleared. I have wasted countless hours of my valuable time calling and talking and trying to bring this issue to settlement... therefore ,I am demanding a full refund of the 4 cellphone insurance policys ($550.00 total) that I purchased on behalf of Global Warrany Group through my local Verizon-We R Wireless store...if not I will be filing a complaint with Verizon for their part in selling this particular companys warranty policy to their customers in the Verizon Store as well as taking legal action to recoup my time and money. There is no way I want anything to do with this company anymore and neither should Verzon Wireless Corp.

I am sorry to hear that the credit card was compromised, I know that is a stressor. I would advise calling your credit card company and telling them that we issued a credit back to the card and they will be able to transfer the funds over to your new credit card.

Review: Two months ago I started a claim with the global warenty group.I was told a check would be sent to me within a week. I was charged $400 to my credit card until I sent my old phone in. Im in no financial state to have a charge like that so I sent it in right away. I have called every other day and get the same responce everytime. I have yet to recive a check or have the charge removed from my credit card. So now im paying intrest aswell. Review: I contacted the insurance company back in January 2014 to report that my cell phone had broke. They had me send my phone back and they were going to send out a replacement. Once they received my phone they called me and told me that they didn't have a replacement for my phone and that they will send out a $500.00 check within the next two weeks. I call them roughly once a month to check on the "status" of the $500.00 check and the only information they will give me is that the reason why I haven't received it yet is because customers who broke their Apple iPhones were unable to get replacements so they were backed up with sending out the checks. It is 9 months later and I still haven't received anything. Every time I call they tell me that they will escalate it and that someone from IT will be in contact within 48 hours. I never hear from them.Desired Settlement: I would like my $500 check that they told me they would send me due to them not being able to replace my broken phone.

Review: I purchased cell phone insurance through a Verizon wireless retailer. I was initially told they didn't have a comparable phone and would receive a check for the phones retail value (they said $600). 30 days later, I have no new phone, no check AND I've been charged $350 for not returning my broken phone (which they assured me they would NOT do). The first 3 times I called to check on the status of the check and or replacement phone, I was told the check was being processed. Now each time I call I get mysteriously disconnected. The customer service representative informed me that they were located in Oregon while headquarters is in [redacted]. I tried to reach the [redacted] office and never got through to anyone. Their website says they are available 24 /7.

When I finally thought to [redacted] the company, I was horrified to read reviews proving I was not Global Warrants only victim.

I would appreciate any assistance.

Review: Since I made a claim on April **,2014, I have been waiting for resolution to a insurance claim for a broken phone. I have paid $179 for new phone, plus $699 deposit (pending return of broken phone). After waiting for over a month, I was informed that my phone could not be replaced and they would be sending out a cheque for $600, which in reading, others are getting $650. To date, and several phone calls, where I'm promised someone will phone me within 2 days, I am still waiting either for a phone call or a cheque to arrive. I have contacted the call center at least 10 or more times. Upon speaking to the customer service people, they will not provide me with a supervisor or manager, or give me contact details for their legal department. This has been going since April 2014. Review: A phone covered by this company's extended warranty plan broke. A claim was made on 1-**-14 for a new phone and I paid the deductible via credit card. After one week no new phone was received by me. I called the company on 1-**-14, was told no replacement phone was available, would I take a check for $550. I said yes and was told a check would be mailed. Upon my receipt of the check I was to send them the broken phone. One week later, I received not a check, but a phone, in the mail. I called the company and was told to send that phone back, which I did, and that I would receive my check soon. On 2-*-14 I again called the company and told them I still didn't get check. They "escalated" the call and I was to receive a return call about the status of check and I would receive a mail label to send in old check. I never received a phone call but my credit card was charged on 2-**-14 for $475.00 for not returning the old phone!!!! This was despite the fact that I was explicitly told not to send the broken phone until I received the $550 check. I called the company again today and was told to send in the old phone, that is why I was charged. Funny how they can charge my card so easily but take over a month to issue my check. I was told again today that they were sorry it was taking so long to get my check and they would again "escalate" my complaint. The charge to my credit card was unauthorized and unlawful. I have notified American Express of the unauthorized charge. Today, for the first time, I was told to send in the broken phone BEFORE I receive my $550 check. Review: I have purchased a protection plan from this company that covers lost/stolen or broken cellphones. This plan covers either a replacement device or a check for the value of the device.

On March ** 2014 I contacted them and processed a claim for a lost Samsung S3. At this time I was advised that I would have a check mailed out and they also collected a $130 deductible from my credit card.

It has now been over 2 months and they have not issued a check, nor can they offer me a timeline for when a check will be sent. Review: I have submitted a claim to GWG April [redacted] 2014. I have paid the original fee of $95 at signing two years ago, plus my credit card was charged another fee of $95 for replacement phone cost. I have shipped my phone ( $599.99 value) in promise of a replacement phone. The broken unit was priority shipped to the address provided to me on April [redacted] (a $30 cost to ensure broken phone arrived asap). My credit card was billed the other $95 on April [redacted]. I waited a whole week an no phone, no call back. I checked the website and my claim and they informed me that my phone is no longer available and they are to honor it by giving me a cheque for $300. Today is May [redacted] (and I have been calling almost twice a week since this whole situation) and nothing is being resolved. All they do is "escalate my case" every single time . The Company policy is a 24-48 hour turnaround and It has been 5.5 weeks and I have not received the promised cheque as my phone replacement. What is very disrespectful is that NO ONE even bothers to call back to inform the client of what the issue is. To make things even worse I am enduring long distance costs in addition to being out of a phone and being out of money. MY case shows as "closed" on their website, yet I have been charged two separate fees (they took my old phone, billed my credit card) and I have nothing. I feel disrespected and flat out robbed. I would like to either have my old phone and the charges returned to me (since they cant offer me a phone) or speed up the issuing of the cheque. thank you,

Review: It is so unfortunate and frustrating as I claimed for iphone 4s, and the customer care agents promised to deliver a check worth 600$ in 60 days But it almost 11 months but no response. I am calling almost every week since 11 months but no use.

And 2 months back they emailed saying still in processing, but it turned to a false promise.I also tried calling your phone no but busy all the time.

Review: This company is a warranty provided for my phone service. I paid a fee upfront to purchase this phone, and if during the 2 years I need to file a claim I would have to pay a additional fee to replace the phone. My son has filed a claim one time involving this company. That claim took over a month. Including a total of three phones being sent (BECAUSE they kept sending us broken phones). I filed a claim in Dec 2013. After waiting for 10 days the first phone was sent to me. (FINE) But it was broken. So I called and the told me they would send another phone out within 24 hours. We are now on our 12th day and I have called three times. Every time I call they tell me:We will not my accountThere is nothing they can do..It was sent to their VENDOR for processing. They cannot get ahold of the VENDORAND THERE IS NO ONE ELSE I CAN TALK TOO!!!HOWEVER they sure took my money immediately. SO frustrating! After waiting for 2 weeks my phone FINALLY came in yesterday as they said around 2 pm. I appreciate the refund. I also got the email I had been waiting on to confirm the shipping and information about the phone at 9:45 pm. No one ever followed up via email or by phone as I requested several times. BUT YET again they sent me a phone that is BROKEN. The charger was broken. The PHONE is muffled. No-one can hear me talk. At this point the only way to resolve this matter would be a BRAND NEW PHONE sent to me ASAP. I will NOT send back this phone until I get the phone sent to me! I cannot go with out a phone... any longer! At least the text works on it so I can use that until I get a new phone. I will call back this evening and file on this claim again. If I have to wait another 2 weeks I will be very upset.

After THREE phones, I finally was sent a phone that works. I would say Thank you but after a month of constant complaints and lies. It is what is is. I will never purchase this insurance again.

Review: global warranty charged me for a 2 separate claims of 2 different smart phones I purchased loss repair warranty and now require repair of 2 smart phones they charged me the deductible of $179 X 2 for a total of $358 and then charged me another $699.99 X 2 for a total of $1399.98 for the new phones. the deal was that global warranty was to send me 2 new phones and I was to send back the broken phones once I received the new phones. so they went ahead and charged the grand total of $1757.98 and I have not received the new I-phones as promised. So in fact I have been charged $500 for the original warranty coverage and the $1757.98 and have two broken phones. Review: I have cell phone insurance through this company and put in a claim on Feb. *, 2014. My credit card has been charged $301.00 and my deductible has been taken from my bank account and I have no settlement from the company for the broken cell phone as of April **,2014. They charged my card for some 30 day agreement which I thought was from the day they sent out settlement if the broken phone was not returned but they said it was 30 days from the day I made the claim. I do not understand this reasoning since this is a main phone and is still working but has broken parts. I have called many numerous times to the call center and have had no return phone call. At the time, I was offered an insurance plan for about $120.00 that would protect me if I had lost my phone, damaged it, or had it stolen where I would pay a deductible and I would have a new phone sent to me right away. Well over a month ago, I lost my phone and called Global Warranty Insurance - the company that [redacted] had signed me up with and filed a claim with them. They had me pay my $95.00 deductible right away and told me I would receive my brand new S4 within 3-5 business days. On the fourth day I went to check the tracking information and noticed that it said the phone had not been sent and to call the Global Warranty Group company. When I contacted them, they informed me that they were not able to get my phone and that they would issue me a $700 cheque to replace the cost of the phone and that the cheque would take a little longer to receive since it was coming from headoffice. Since there was no other option other than cancelling my claim completely I agreed. It has been 5 weeks since I made my claim with them and they keep telling me that someone in their accounting department will contact me and no one ever does. I have escalated my claim 4 times now with promises that someone is going to call me back and have not received any phone calls. Because they took so long and I needed a phone (I don't have a landline) I had no choice but to upgrade my phone and pay over $300 for a new phone. I have called them more times than I can count and they keep promising me that someone will get back to me and then they don't. I checked online and the reviews of this company are awful - there are over 50 different reviews from people stating that they have waited MONTHS (some waiting 3-4 months, escalating 10+ times) and have not received a cheque or a replacement phone.

I have not received any sort of payment from Global Warranty. I filed my claim in early March and it's now July. They continue to give me excuses as to why they haven't processed my cheque yet they didn't hesitate to take my $95.00 deductible right away. It is very frustrating to me that I have to repeatedly call Global Warranty to find out what's going on with my money when they should be the ones keeping in touch with me. I have had to pay out of pocket to get a new phone ($350) because they were unable to replace my phone. I would really appreciate it if they refunded my $95.00 deductible and sent me my $700 cheque to cover the cost of my phone. Thank you
