Review: I signed up and paid for wireless protection program through Global Warranty Group. I filed a claim on 2/**/14 and my credit card was charged the $90 deductible at that time. I was told a replacement phone would be shipped with 24-36 hours. It is now 8 days later and still the phone has not been shipped. I have been calling every day since Thursday 2/**/14 and every customer service rep said there is nothing wrong with the claim but do not know why the phone has not been shipped. Supposedly, my claim was expedited more than once to no availDesired Settlement: I would like the replacement phone to be shipped next day to my home address - which is why I have the protection program

Review: This company sells warrantys for cellphones at my local verizon store and I purchased 3 policy's for my children's phones...I made a claim back in thanksgiving of 2013 on behalf of my college age daughter for a iPhone 5 cellphone which they charged me a 150.00 deduct able for within a few weeks...this phone was no longer carried by them so they agreed to send a 650.00 check to cover the cost of a new iPhone...they said it would take about 4 weeks to process this refund...for reference her ph number is ###-###-####... As of this date the global warranty group has never made good on their promise to reimburse me for the insurance claim....have tried to call about 10 times at least and they always give me the same runaround about it's still processing.WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS NO LESS THEN INSURANCE FRAUD!!!Desired Settlement: Verizon wireless should drop this non-service company

[Your Answer Here]
They have said this before that my settlement is being processed, ( for 4 months now) why would I expect their response to be any different?...I will believe it when I see it and the check is cleared. I have wasted countless hours of my valuable time calling and talking and trying to bring this issue to settlement... therefore ,I am demanding a full refund of the 4 cellphone insurance policys ($550.00 total) that I purchased on behalf of Global Warrany Group through my local Verizon-We R Wireless store...if not I will be filing a complaint with Verizon for their part in selling this particular companys warranty policy to their customers in the Verizon Store as well as taking legal action to recoup my time and money. There is no way I want anything to do with this company anymore and neither should Verzon Wireless Corp.

That is all fine and good although I believe that the credit card I paid the deductible fee on 4 months ago had been compromised and replaced with a different card, so I'm not exactly sure how that would work out.

Response:
I am sorry to hear that the credit card was compromised, I know that is a stressor. I would advise calling your credit card company and telling them that we issued a credit back to the card and they will be able to transfer the funds over to your new credit card.
Review: I have filed a claim through global warranty group wireless protection program on 3/**/14 concerning my cell phone a week ago. It was stolen I filed a police report and submitted to them as requested. After submitting my claim I was told I would be contacted in 24-72 hours about my claim.......Nobody has contacted me at all about my claim and it has been a week since I filed the claim. I was also told to call [redacted] which was sold to New Wave when I contacted them the lady that answered told me they no longer deal with GWG due to poor experience in the past. I have made several phone calls regarding my claim and several associates keep telling me that no claim has been filed and then one associate I spoke with told me that the claim was filed Tuesday 3/**/14 and I would receive my phone Thursday 3/**/14 as of 3/**/14 I still have not received my phone or a phone call about my claim. I was told there is a 100 dollar deductable for the claim and I gave them my debit card number over the phone to process the claim as well. Today 3/**/14 I called again about my claim and there again I was told that they would look into it and call me back. I asked if I could have a number to the claims office I was told by an associate that the claims department does not have a number to call but they would call me. Now how does one have a number that can call out but not a number that can call in. My cell phone is my work so I am losing alot of business through this period........very fustrated.......Called again today the lady I spoke with told me again that she did not see a claim filed and she would put a request in for someone to call me back within 24-72 hours........same run around again from the start.....Desired Settlement: I want my phone replaced ASAP!!!!!!!! I have been dealing with this for a week and I am losing business........

Review: I submitted a claim to this company on December *, 2013 for warranty/insurance that I purchased through Verizon Wireless on an IPhone, which subsequently was damaged. On that very same day, this company charged my credit card the $150 deductible due under the warranty/insurance. It is supposed to reimburse me $550 for the damaged phone, but after more than 3 months of repeated calling and complaints to its customer service and "escalation department," it still has not made the $550 reimbursement payment which its representatives have acknowledged must be paid. In the meantime, it also has retained my deductible payment.Desired Settlement: I want my $550 reimbursement payment, and I'd also like reimbursement of the $150 deductible payment inasmuch as this company has had use of my money for over 3 months and because of the unnecessary aggravation and time I've had to incur dealing with its constant "run-around" activities.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
The business charged me a deductible of $150.00 on 12/*/13 and had use of that money for over three months before finally making payment on our warranty/insurance claim. The business only made that payment after I continually made complaints directly to it, after it repeatedly assured us the payment would be made, and only after I filed complaints against it with the Revdex.com and the New York State Dept. of Financial Services. Such behavior by a warranty/insurance company should be investigated thoroughly in my opinion, as I've seen there have been multiple other complaints against it of a similar nature. As far as my particular complaint is concerned, I believe I also should be refunded my $150.00 deductible payment due to the business's use of that money for over three months before it made payment on my claim, and for the undue time and aggravation I had to suffer dealing with it during that period.
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Review: I have purchased a protection plan from this company that covers lost/stolen or broken cellphones. This plan covers either a replacement device or a check for the value of the device.
On March ** 2014 I contacted them and processed a claim for a lost Samsung S3. At this time I was advised that I would have a check mailed out and they also collected a $130 deductible from my credit card.
It has now been over 2 months and they have not issued a check, nor can they offer me a timeline for when a check will be sent. I have spoken to them numerous times and each time I am advised that it has been escalated and that a representative will call me within 48hrs.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive this promised check or a like replacement with the advertised timelines of Replacement Phones Shipped within 24-48 hours

Review: I filed a complaint with the Global Warrenty Group(GWG)/Wireless Protection Program(WPP)on April [redacted],2014 Regarding a broken Galaxy S3 with phone number ###-###-####. Prior to filing this claim, I had to pay a fee of 65$ as well as send in the broken phone before the claim could move forward, which I did. They recieved my phone, and 65$ was charged to my credit card. I was then told that they did not have a replacement phone for me (Another Galaxy S3), and in place of said phone, they would send me a check for $580. The check was to be sent within 3-4 business days. Again, this was back in the beginning of April. It is now June [redacted], and their "escalation team" has still not gotten back to me with a date of which said cheque will be mailed. I have called back every 2 business days, as this is what they(WPP) tell you to do, and every two business days I am told my escalation has come back unresponded too and that they will send up another escalation, which they (GWG), will have 2 days to respond to, and every time it comes back unanswered. I cut off the contract to the phone when they said they would be sending out the check for $580 to pay it out, the bill has come and gone and I was forced to place the bill amount on my credit card, which did not cover the full amount, because said check still has not shown up. Apparently they are looking into canadian claims more than others as canadians are apparently filing false claims saying they lost their phones when they have not, and get sent a new phone. Us canadians, who have sent in a phone, meaning our claims are clearly NOT fraudulant should not be punished. Especially single moms who do not have the money to pay out a phone that we would not have cut off had we known we would not be recieving a check from this scam insurance company.Desired Settlement: I would like this check for $580 to be sent out immidiately so I can pay off the portion I was forced to put onto my now maxed out credit card, and to pay the rest of the "phone payout" I still have owing. If I do not recieve this check by July [redacted], I will be getting a lawyer.

Review: I contacted global warranty ( wireless protection program) Jan ** 2014. I filed my request to have phone fixed. I was initially told process would take 1 -2 days. Then I was told within 2 week. I have placed secured funds on a credit card. I have contacted the wireless protection program at [redacted]. I speak to these people at least weekly. I ask for return phone calls. They have now had my money in there possession since mid february. I call them on a weekly basis. I am told nothing can be done I must sit and wait. These people are not very helpful. It is now april 8 I have had no confirmation. The end of february I was told I would have a cheque mailed out within 7 to 10 days. Then I was told there was an issue of sending out cheques. I had a return phone call after waiting 6week to advise cheque would be sent out by end of the month or first week in april. I contacted global warranty again today now they are telling me end of april into may,. This is very poor service. I have asked to speak to supervisors with no help. I have asked for return phone calls. I get no return phone calls. I was told entire process would take 1 to 2 weeks, Now we are at 2.5 months with me being no further aheadDesired Settlement: I have paid 95$ deductible plus 20% interest on 385$ for almost 3 months. I would like this money returned to me as well I my 578$ cheque as promised that I have yet to receive.
Review: I have submitted a claim to GWG April [redacted] 2014. I have paid the original fee of $95 at signing two years ago, plus my credit card was charged another fee of $95 for replacement phone cost. I have shipped my phone ( $599.99 value) in promise of a replacement phone. The broken unit was priority shipped to the address provided to me on April [redacted] (a $30 cost to ensure broken phone arrived asap). My credit card was billed the other $95 on April [redacted]. I waited a whole week an no phone, no call back. I checked the website and my claim and they informed me that my phone is no longer available and they are to honor it by giving me a cheque for $300. Today is May [redacted] (and I have been calling almost twice a week since this whole situation) and nothing is being resolved. All they do is "escalate my case" every single time . The Company policy is a 24-48 hour turnaround and It has been 5.5 weeks and I have not received the promised cheque as my phone replacement. What is very disrespectful is that NO ONE even bothers to call back to inform the client of what the issue is. To make things even worse I am enduring long distance costs in addition to being out of a phone and being out of money. MY case shows as "closed" on their website, yet I have been charged two separate fees (they took my old phone, billed my credit card) and I have nothing. I feel disrespected and flat out robbed. I would like to either have my old phone and the charges returned to me (since they cant offer me a phone) or speed up the issuing of the cheque. thank you,
[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would simply like to get a refund for the money I have been charged by GWG, and a replacement cost of my original phone (as I have been without a phone since I send it my old one)> phone was 2 years old and If I knew that this was going to cause me such distress I would have taken in to a local repair place and still had my $600 phone. I would an apology for such awful service this company has provided me with as well as a money reimbursement for the costs I have endured because of this process and replacement cost of my phone.
thank you

This Revdex.com complaint is being researched and worked daily until GWG is able to get you resolution. If this is regarding a check that was
accepted in lieu of a replacement phone GWG will make sure to fulfill all claims. However due to unexpected factors there has been a delay in our claims process. Review: Since I made a claim on April **,2014, I have been waiting for resolution to a insurance claim for a broken phone. I have paid $179 for new phone, plus $699 deposit (pending return of broken phone). After waiting for over a month, I was informed that my phone could not be replaced and they would be sending out a cheque for $600, which in reading, others are getting $650. To date, and several phone calls, where I'm promised someone will phone me within 2 days, I am still waiting either for a phone call or a cheque to arrive. I have contacted the call center at least 10 or more times. Upon speaking to the customer service people, they will not provide me with a supervisor or manager, or give me contact details for their legal department. This has been going since April 2014. I am currently having to pay rental for a loaner phone, which I shouldn't have to.Desired Settlement: I would like a cheque for the amount of $600 sent to me as promised, or a replacement phone of equal or greater value than the one I made the claim for. Then the refund of the $699 that is charged against my credit card.
Review: I purchased the Samsung Galaxy 3 phone from [redacted] and purchased the warranty through Global Warranty Group, as was suggested by [redacted]. I have been paying into this "warranty" for a year and a half since my new contract started. On June [redacted], my phone broke, I started the claim procedure as discussed. I was to return my phone and upon arrival of my phone, and because my phone was obsolete, they offered me a refund cheque of $550.00 I went out and purchased a new phone, expecting to receive my refund cheque within 48 hours. I call daily and email daily and am told it has been sent to an Escalation Representative and with the high number of claims they have, I have to have patience in waiting. They have no guess as to when I will receive a refund. I logged onto the website today and it shows CLAIM CLOSED. I have emailed in response to this and they said, that it just shows that, but, it's not closed.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my refund cheque of $550.00 given to me ASAP as I was promised.
Review: I paid CAN$ 109.99 and bought the 2 year Canada Preferred Replacement insurance for Samsung Note2 from Global Warranty Group (GWG) on Feb. ** 2013.
Then, filed a stolen case in October 2013 and GWG promised to pay me with $600 cheque since GWG did not have Samsung Note2 stocks. I waited till March 2014 and called them to check if the claim is being processed correctly.
Although It had been almost half an year, GWG claimed that they are still dealing with the customer inquiries.
After, I tried to call GWG often but their phone line was busy or turned off most of the time I tried to call them.
I successfully talked to one of the reps on Aug [redacted] 2014. The rep again said GWG is still dealing with accumulated customer inquiries, and GWG is going to call me back in two business days. Now, it has been 10 months since I filed a claim to GWG and paid deductible. This is clearly scam.Desired Settlement: I would like to get the $600 as promised and contracted.
Review: I paid every month for a warranty on my cell phone as part of my cell phone bill. My phone screen was cracked and the screen touch sensitivity stopped working properly and I contacted to have a replacement sent. I contacted GWG after several days of waiting for a new phone and told they did not provide me with a replacement. They told me what they could do was send me a $550 check to replace the phone. Then they had to put a $381 hold on my account till I sent back the old phone and charged me an admin fee of $95.
This was all done early July 2014 with claim number [redacted] I sent them my old phone so I could get my $381 back that was on hold. I had already purchased a new phone based on the $550 I was to receive. It has been a month now and I still have not received my $550 check and they are still taking the monthly fee out of my account for the insurance on a phone I do not have. I have spoke to them on the phone many times and I keep getting that it is being processed. I have caled several times asking for an update, but get told the same thing over and over, "We are processing the cheque". The last attempt I made was in August 2014, the website and phone line now have seem to both shutdown.
I am at a loss what to do next. I just don't know what to do I don't feel it should not take months to write a check. I have asked the cell contract holder [redacted] to stop payment on the insurance, but they say they can not. I am worried that they not only have my old cell phone, but they have charged me the $95, and the $381 on my credit card. which now is over one month.Desired Settlement: I would like my $550 check, plus all other charges returned as I have they have not honoured the contract/service, and to cancel the insurance service.
Review: This company has disappeared I purchased an extended warranty plan from them and they have disappeared. I can't call them and they wont respond to my emails. I can't file a claim or get a refund for my policy.Desired Settlement: I want a refund for my policy since they wont honor the contract.

Review: I contacted the insurance company back in January 2014 to report that my cell phone had broke. They had me send my phone back and they were going to send out a replacement. Once they received my phone they called me and told me that they didn't have a replacement for my phone and that they will send out a $500.00 check within the next two weeks. I call them roughly once a month to check on the "status" of the $500.00 check and the only information they will give me is that the reason why I haven't received it yet is because customers who broke their Apple iPhones were unable to get replacements so they were backed up with sending out the checks. It is 9 months later and I still haven't received anything. Every time I call they tell me that they will escalate it and that someone from IT will be in contact within 48 hours. I never hear from them.Desired Settlement: I would like my $500 check that they told me they would send me due to them not being able to replace my broken phone.

Review: On October **,2013 I filed a claim to get a replacement cell phone to replace one that is broken and insured through global warranty group. I was charged$75 deductible and told I should receive the phone on October ** or **. A$301 hold was placed on my credit card until the defective phone is returned to them. On November * I called to inquire why I had not yet received my phone. I was told I would get a call back in 24-48 hours with information. On November * I had still not received a call so I called them. I was told that my claim was sent to the escalation department on Monday so I should receive a call by that same evening. I have never received a return call. I have called multiple times everyday since and no one has been able to help me or explain what the hold up is. I feel that 2 weeks is way longer than this should take. I was charged for a product I have not received and paid for insurance that is not being provided as contracted. The Verizon store where I purchased this plan seems to be unable to help with this claim either.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive my phone as my insurance policy states it will. I would also like my$75 deductible returned and the$301 hold taken off my credit card. I have not received the service I expect from a business. Review: This company is a warranty provided for my phone service. I paid a fee upfront to purchase this phone, and if during the 2 years I need to file a claim I would have to pay a additional fee to replace the phone. My son has filed a claim one time involving this company. That claim took over a month. Including a total of three phones being sent (BECAUSE they kept sending us broken phones). I filed a claim in Dec 2013. After waiting for 10 days the first phone was sent to me. (FINE) But it was broken. So I called and the told me they would send another phone out within 24 hours. We are now on our 12th day and I have called three times. Every time I call they tell me:We will not my accountThere is nothing they can do..It was sent to their VENDOR for processing. They cannot get ahold of the VENDORAND THERE IS NO ONE ELSE I CAN TALK TOO!!!HOWEVER they sure took my money immediately. SO frustrating! Their customer service reps are rude, unknowledgeable, and not helpful. I have been told different things EVERY time I call to get the status on my phone.Desired Settlement: I would in the end prefer my money back no one should have to wait and be treated this way. I would prefer BOTH payments back, the first one to purchase the warranty and the one to file the claim. I WILL NEVER purchase this warranty from this company again! NEVER

After waiting for 2 weeks my phone FINALLY came in yesterday as they said around 2 pm. I appreciate the refund. I also got the email I had been waiting on to confirm the shipping and information about the phone at 9:45 pm. No one ever followed up via email or by phone as I requested several times. BUT YET again they sent me a phone that is BROKEN. The charger was broken. The PHONE is muffled. No-one can hear me talk. At this point the only way to resolve this matter would be a BRAND NEW PHONE sent to me ASAP. I will NOT send back this phone until I get the phone sent to me! I cannot go with out a phone... any longer! At least the text works on it so I can use that until I get a new phone. I will call back this evening and file on this claim again. Review: I purchased the wireless protection plan for a Samsung Galaxy S4 in August, 2013 at Wind Mobile. I have had nothing but delays, unkempt promises and guarantees that have not been followed through on for the last 10 weeks. This is for no apparent reason. I have paid my premiums including an additional $95 for the phone replacement premium. When this phone needed to be fixed/replaced 4 months after purchase, this company promised speedy return of the phone. This is a promise made on their brochure as well. I immediately sent the phone to their service centre. It was received and the initial $381 charge to replace this phone was reimbursed. After 16 phone calls (which I have recorded the names of people and "Care Specialists") I have heard nothing but this phrase..."I will email the Escalation Team of your request. They will get back to you in the next 24-48 hours." Not one communication has taken place except for my numerous calls. Since my phone was "unavailable" (the first surprise)I was to be sent a $700 cheque. My cheque has been in "process" since December [redacted], 2013. Each time I call, the representatives are very pleasant but have absolutely no idea or information that is at all helpful whatsoever. I have contacted Wind Mobile but they will not assume any responsibility for endorsing this company. I am very concerned that this is an illegitimate company that I have invested in as a reliable insurance provider for my $700 phone. The constant delay in sending my promised cheque and the "I don't know the answer to your question" phrase is unacceptable business practice. I am insisting that my claim be processed as promised. I was suppose to receive a cheque in the beginning of 2014. It is now 7 weeks later. This is unacceptable.Desired Settlement: I have been promised a $700 cheque which is the replacement cost of this phone (before tax). I will also accept a credit on my MasterCard account for this amount.
