Going to Sears Canada (stcatharines) was literally my worst Boxing Day shopping experience this year days prior to boxing day I had gone to their website to see what items I would like to buy on that day and plan ahead to save timeFirst of all, their website has no way of telling you whether an item is available in a particular storeSo I sent my girlfriend to check for availability and see if there will be a sale on that day on those itemsNot only were the store people nonchalant and rude, they had no idea what was going on sale for Boxing DayWorst, even the store manager couldn't help So come boxing day, me and my girlfriend go to their store only to find that noneI repeat, NONE of the items we had looked up before were available anymore, they only had fat-people sizes left (2XL, 3XL, 4XL)All the parkas, puffer jackets, boots, everything was goneInfact they didn't have the boots we wanted to begin withWhat ticked me off the most was that they wouldn't check in their inventory if they had more of it in the back, also they made sure that all the pricier stuff went up on display at the front whereas all the cheaper clearance stuff was hidden away in the back In a time when they are struggling to maintain a foothold of their business, such an attitude will only ensure a quicker demise for this organizationAnd if this is how they choose to handle their predicaments, it's a good thing they are going out of businessFor shoppers like me who like to research and plan ahead of time, this was an absolute waste of two hours of my Monday morning on the day after Christmas

Today my daughter and I were in Sears in Nanaimo in the shoe department and the girl that was working in there was so rude to all her customers and would not help find anything as it was as if she didn't want to be thereI had a pair of boots in my hand and I put them down as I was not going to purchase them because of her rudeness and my daughter was looking for shoes and as I was there therer were several other ladies there that noticed the same thing so I will not shop there againWe went elsewhere and spent over $and had excellent serviceat another shoe store

Ever since WTS (what the Sears) has gone through a face lift, customer service has gone down considerably, especially catalogue orders! The change that was implemented seems so great that their own staff is having a hard time learning it It takes hours to wait in line for order pick up (if they can even find your stuff at all) , just really badThe confusion bleeds into their email notifications and / or charges and refunds on items as wellIf I decide to order anything online, I will definitely have it delivered to my home as opposed to picking it up in store, at least until they master the new systemFor so long it was so easy and convenient to shop Sears onlineNot any more!

Bought [redacted] recliner in 10/10/with a full undercarriage warranty of yearsI contacted Sears in May when the chair would no longer recline due to broken spring and bolts- they said they would fix it but that it could take months for the parts to arriveThe work order was made in June2016..they did come once in Sept but they did not have all the parts needed- they reordered them...it is now months and yes they have the parts but I have moved km from my original address and they keep saying they will call me within hrs too book an appt but they never do callI call them once a weekLast week they told me I was now a "high priority " and I need not bother to call but them anymore , that they would e-mail me I do not think they have any intention of ever fixing my chair!! Purchased a [redacted] washer and [redacted] Refrigerator from Sears and also a five year warranty on both appliances at a cost of $( [redacted] ) and $( [redacted] ) respectively Purchase/payment date was September 28, and delivery date October 25, We have had no problem with appliances and thus no claims or service calls The Agreement provided "risk free, cancel for any reason and receive full refund"As Sears is closing we called the number referenced for warranty agreements and were told to cancel the policies and receive refund" The number given does not answer, other complaint numbers know nothing of the policies We need assistance to resolve this matter Either we have a warranty for the remaining four years or we receive a refund

On September I received a call from Sears asking if I wanted to renew my dishwasher service contract which was to expire October I gave credit card information to renew for three years at $They told me to expect the contract by October By November I had not received it so I called and after much handing around at foreign service call centres was told that Sears had no intention of honouring the service agreement and they would refund my moneyThey would not have done so had I not called to find out what was going onThis was an [redacted] to get money for Sears in the hope that customers would not notice before it went out of business and could no longer be liable for its debts [redacted]

We ordered our washer, dryer, stove, freezer, dish washer, microwave, and refrigerator in April for delivery June 30thAll of the appliances were delivered on June 30th as promisedThe fridge was damaged so we were told that they would deliver a new oneThe date was arranged and on the day of delivery we were called times throughout the day saying that they would be here in one hourNo one showed upWhen we called we were told they were trying to deliver to the wrong addressAnother delivery was scheduledThat day the driver showed up and said they could not unhook the waterWhen my wife said she would call me to see how to do it the driver said he did not have time to wait so he leftNew delivery date was scheduledThat day came and the fridge that was delivered was damagedNew delivery date set upThat day the drivers showed up and because it was raining they were afraid they would slip so they would not deliver itSet up another deliveryThat day came and the fridge had rust on itSet up a new delivery dateThat fridge showed up and it was damagedI spoke to the store manager and asked that they just replace the door that was damagedAfter some negotiation they agreed to replace the doorweeks went by with no contact from the store I called customer service and was told the door was on back orderSeveral weeks later received a call that the door was in and an appointment was set up to installInstallers came and installed the doorInstallers spent hours trying to get the water dispenser to stop leaking and could not get it to stopThey said they had to turn the water off and order another doorSears decided that they would have to replace the fridge so set up another delivery dateSears representative called to set up the delivery and actually asked if we had eight fridgesShe was told no that was the number of deliveriesShe set up a delivery date that day came and after waiting most of the day my wife called and asked where the delivery was and they said they tried to deliver the fridge but no-one was homeMy wife was home all day and told the representative thatthe rep sent her a picture of the front of the house that they delivered to and it was not our houseThe rep asked my wife to take a picture of the front of our house and send it to herOnce the rep was convinced that they had not been at our house she said she would schedule another deliveryThe delivery was set and the fridge that was delivered was damaged I have lost count but it is around times that we have unloaded the fridge and waited for deliveryI have been in contact with the store manager many times only to be told that she would stay on it until it was resolvedI have not received one call from the store manager in all of that timeI have had it initiate every contactAfter asking many times for the contact information of a regional manager the store manager has refused to give it to meIt is now January over months since our original delivery date and we still do not have a fridge that is not damagedCan someone above the level of store manager please contact me

One of many negative experiences with Sears Canada, I submitted an order on-line, of the items was not available as per an email I received Jan 25th, therefore the item cancelled with the refund policy advising days As it turns out Sears did not charge my [redacted] account for of the items that were supposed to travel with the cancelled item but they arrived earlier Instead of removing the charge for the cancelled item they plan to charge me for it and then return the money This does not seem like good business, if the item is cancelled why not adjust the order amount and charge for only that instead of insisting to charge for a cancelled item with the promise to return the funds within days of the charge

We ordered a mattress cover on line for approx $130. This was free delivery because it was over $99. We received the mattress cover approx 2 weeks after ordering it. This mattress cover was in a small box that weighed approx 1 lb. We received approx 4 telephone calls about receiving this mattress cover. We were told that we needed to be home from 8:30 to 6 on a Sat. This item could have been left at our front door. I signed my name twice and initialed once when I received this item. We order many items online with many other companies but I will tell you this will be the last time I order something with Sears on line. I think Sears will be out of the online business very soon unless they get with the times and start using UPS or some courier company to deliver smaller items.

I borrowed a truck to pick up my product on the "pick up date" and spent my day off on hold trying to figure out why it wasn't at the store for pick up December 23rd. I was told I would have to wait until after the holidays to hear an update. It was a Christmas present! A supervisor was supposed to call me back on three separate occasions and no one did. Since calling Sears took up a ton of time, I wrote to their customer service twice. No response. I ordered the item on November 28th and after I called Sears the first week of January a service rep over the phone asked if I would set a new pick up date for an even further location! (It's been over a month now since I had ordered the item). I explained to the rep everything that had occurred and how much trouble this order was for me. At this point I'm expecting to pick it up at a closer location (not further), a complimentary delivery or some kind of compensation for my troubles and waiting! Nothing. I said I'd like to speak to a supervisor. I waited and then the rep took my number and said one would call back once again. NO RESPONSE. I then ordered the item from [redacted] ***. Since I originally ordered the item on Cyber Monday, all of the sales were gone for my item which made this situation even more sour for me. I ended up having to spend about $600 more for this item. The item from [redacted] arrived before anyone from Sears contacted me and no one ever did contact me. After the item from [redacted] arrived, I called to get a refund from Sears. No one asked me to hold so they could inform upper management about this horrible experience. I didn't ask to speak to anyone either. No one would contact me anyway! I received my refund February 2, 2017 in the amount of what I paid for on November 28, 2016! I paid interest during this whole time too. Unsure if it was actually coming or not for at least a month.

I bought a *** couch from Sears just over a year agoI moved the couch to my new place a month later and set it upWithin no time the springs started coming up through the materialI stupidly did not contact Sears thinking it was a very inexpensive and" on sale" couch and did not know how I would return it to themIn the Fall I went to Florida for months and returned the end of Feb2016.The couch was impossible to sit on at this point so I emailed Sears and they gave me a number to call...A call centre , of course, where I got nowhere only to be told that it was over a year since I bought the couch and the warranty was upI have no recourse in this matter and all I have is a couch I cannot useI have had to go out and buy another couch and so the money I spent on the one from Sears is wasted
