I purchased a Vacuum Cleaner from Sears last September It came with a year warranty Last week the motor quit working and we wanted to use the year warranty agreement to fix the same unit We called night, and they told me that even though we ordered it online, it was considered an OTC item, so we should take it back to the store I took it to the store the next day, and was told that it had to be taken care of by the manufacturer So, I called the manufacturer and they told me that Sears should take care of this warranty Called back to Sears, again, and was transferred to a "Customer Service Specialist", but every question I asked him, I was put on hold, and gave me the feeling that he was not familiar with the companies warranty policies at all After minutes on the phone, he let me know that this product was discontinued, and the only thing they could do was find a similar vacuum and pay the difference, but the closest one was over $400, and I would have to pay an

I'm very disappointed with Sears - both quality of product and the customer serviceI ordered a comforter set, a set of pillows, and a sheet setAfter three weeks of waiting - and the order status send shippedBut only the sheets arrivedI waited on washing them since I bought the sheets to go with the comforter setI emailed and emailedThey finally responded that the comforter set was oversold and that I would not be receiving itThe pillow set - also said shippedAfter a couple of weeks, it said 'damaged' and would not be deliveredThen, it said ' customer refused delivery' and I had never seen these pillows! Just bizarre! After a few confusing emails, I gave up trying to communicate with them that when and calledThey refunded the pillows and comforter but had no explanation for eitherI thought I would give the sheets a try anyway - and while expensive, they were awful! Excessively scratchy and roughI emailed again asking about the quality and return policy of the sheets and I was repeatedly informed that the comforter and the pillows had been refundedThey never read the emails, send stock responses, and in general frustrated me that I really don't care to deal with them anymoreI'll donate these garbage sheets and never shop at Sears againSad and disappointing experiences!

Today my daughter and I were in Sears in Nanaimo in the shoe department and the girl that was working in there was so rude to all her customers and would not help find anything as it was as if she didn't want to be thereI had a pair of boots in my hand and I put them down as I was not going to purchase them because of her rudeness and my daughter was looking for shoes and as I was there therer were several other ladies there that noticed the same thing so I will not shop there againWe went elsewhere and spent over $and had excellent serviceat another shoe store

For context my wife and I bought a vacuums (***) from their online storeWeeks later we received no confirmation of an order so we called in to find out order was cancelled because the online price was a mistake on their endAfter arguing with them they allowed us to order on the phone and get the original price but only allowed in store pickupWe then waited several weeks and finally received confirmation it was shipped to the store and a week later would be available for pickupTwo weeks go by and no call from the store, so we called times and the line never went throughOnline support couldn't tell if they received it or not so we drove to the store in Kitchener which was in very bad shapeWent to the pickup counter that had no staff at it and picked up the phoneA young man came out and tried to help and simply said we were there too early and it wasn't there yetWe got annoyed since it was a week after the notice we received indicated we could pick it up We asked to speak to a manager to which he told us he was the managerAnd didn't want to help us any furtherWe called the online store and asked for help to which they couldn't locate our order and got the store manager to call us to confirm they didn't have it

I puchased a ***n range along with a maintenance agreement Oct, issues since purchase include handles falling off, oven not baking/roasting
There have been no less than handles that have been replaced on this stove and I have complained many times about the food not cooking thoroughly, only to be told that the Service Tech did not file any reports I asked for a new service call in Novfor the handle & no cooking issue, someone came fixed the handle (service calls) and he filed a report We did this again in Janand today Feb19, Each time the tempreadings taken were "within acceptable limits" and nothing was done, in his report to the company it was stated "no fault found" Today a manager in the Service Department stated the file had been flagged that there were to be NO MORE SERVICE CALLS I have a maintenance agreement with a "lemon" policy times within a twelve month period and replace the item! washing is not curentrly workingi called weeks ago today to have it repairednobody has called mei have made several called to several numberson hold all the timenever did talk to anybody for the service callall they tell is that the service inquiry has been passed on and waiting for repair company to contact you is all they told meI have heard nothingnow sears protection plans and warranties will be nil and void as of October 18th
I contacted another repair place to fix it but they don't touch anything if under warranty or protection plan

Ever since WTS (what the Sears) has gone through a face lift, customer service has gone down considerably, especially catalogue orders! The change that was implemented seems so great that their own staff is having a hard time learning it
It takes hours to wait in line for order pick up (if they can even find your stuff at all) , just really badThe confusion bleeds into their email notifications and / or charges and refunds on items as wellIf I decide to order anything online, I will definitely have it delivered to my home as opposed to picking it up in store, at least until they master the new systemFor so long it was so easy and convenient to shop Sears onlineNot any more!
