I was called by Great American Readers that I would receive a USD gift card if I signed up for a magazine subscriptionI was told that a USD monthly payment from my credit card for would be auto drafted each month, but I could cancel at any timeI was also told that the total price I would pay for the contract period was roughly USD but I would only pay about USD with a special promotion going onI never received any paperwork nor the gift cardThis started March 1st

On 8/4/I received a letter showing my subscription I have many problems with this I repeatedly said $and the rep said correct.....wrong....it is $49.90.....HE LIED!!!

I called on 8/26/to cancel, the rep said I had a commitment I can not cancel I responded what commitment? You NEVER sent your terms and service to me I asked to speak to a manager he said he was a manager.....I said wrong, I want to speak to someone above him He replied that the only person that is higher than me and that is the owner and no one speaks to him Sorry...wrong again....I use to work in telemarketing, there is always a manager on site The $gift card is NOT gift card but a bunch of different cards, which I have not even receivedThe repis unprofessional and rude I want a full refund back!!! I want this resolved ASAP It is really sad how many complaints you have, your reps need to be retrained and do not LIE I am a very unhappy customer, I will never do business with you nor recommend you to anyone!!!!
I told them that I no longer wanted their service and was told that I didn't have the right to cancel at any point I called several times after the magazines still was being sent and received a notice of an over due billPrior to this bill , I have my credit card company decline and send a formal letter as to why this card would not honor an transactions with them but they still tried two months after I made them aware the I wished to cancel while my billing was up to date
My daughter said she had won a free subscription of magazines but not free because she didnt cancell within days which was not told to her.So now we have cancelled and owe The lady on consumer service was very rude to my daughter and said she was taking advantage of the company.I told her she was taking advantage of college student and hung up the phone.This company is getting away with deceiving consumers and there is nothing that can be done about it

This company charged my credit card without authorization It is a scam company the number they list on their paperwork is ###-###-#### This goes to a BUM Verizon Conference call hub They have dinged my credit account on two occasions I have reported them to my bank and changed my credit card numbers This is a cyber security issue and I believe I was hacked Now they just sent me a notice dated 5/2/stating that the amount is past due of with a late charge! In addition, in the fine print it shares a payment in the amount of $will bring my account current They only have a PO box and no one answers You need to mark them in your records as SCAM !!!! anything you can do to report them and get this SCAM stopped would be greatly appreciated!!!! I want them to STOP harassing me with their bogus mail and inflated demands and collection threats!!!!

Soon after( within one billing cycle) of agreeing to trying this magazine service, I received some of the magazines and my credit card bill for which I had signed up with for the serviceI called them immediately and said I wished to cancel the serviceThey said no, you can't because you had only days to cancel the service and it was now over daysAdditionally, not only could I not cancel, I was locked into a monthly payment of $for plus years; once the order was received the magazines were put into print, addressed and and could not be stoppedThats nuts!
They said they could change my choices or send them to someone elseI said the point is I can't afford the service for three years and I want to cancel itThey said they could not cancel it
Several more phone calls from them followed asking if I liked the service, I said no, I want to cancel it and the same reasons were given as to why this was not possible
