Hey ***, Really sorry about all the trouble you have had with your ordersLooking through, we see that you have been trying to use promo codes that have already been used or are not for your consumer area The order that you placed on 2/would not let you use a first time diner promo code
since you placed an order on 2/under another accountAs of 2/you would not have been a first time userLooking through the notes and live chats, you have already been informed that the orders you tried to place on 3/on both of your accounts had been blocked and the charges had never been capturedAt this time we will not be able to reissue you a new free grub code for the promo codes that you should not have been using in the first place Sorry againHave a good day,

I am rejecting this response because:I have a shared computer and a shared addressSo either I or someone associated with me placed an order as a new customer and I do not appreciate the insinuations claiming any misconduct on my behalf If Grubhub only intended for their promos to be one per party/household/anyone associated with said grubhub member then it should have stipulated suchFurthermore it is disgusting that grubhub thinks it has the right to charge me for product I have not received AND does not care to rectify the situation that has caused many negative effects that stem from that chargeThe charges were pre-authorizations that affected my balanceTherefore grubhub is responsible.

I am rejecting this response because: WE HAVE ORDERED FROM GRUB HUB MULTIPLE TIMES PRIOR TO THIS WITH NO ISSUE WHATSOEVER AND THE PHONE NUMBER HAD OBVIOUSLY BEEN INCORRECT ON THE ACCOUNT FOR SOME TIMETHE DRIVER DIDN'T EVEN GET ANYWHERE NEAR OUR HOUSE ON THE TRACKER APP BEFORE CONFIRMING THE ORDER, NOR DID THEY EVER TRY KNOCKING ON THE DOOR, WHICH IS A PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE FORM OF FOOD DELIVERY SERVICE, SINCE MY ADDRESS IS CORRECT ON THE ACCOUNTWE HAVE ALWAYS GOTTEN OUR FOOD WITH NO ISSUES SO THE PHONE NUMBER BEING INCORRECT SHOULD NOT JUSTIFY IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM THE FACT THAT WE WERE RIPPED OFF FOR $AND NEVER GOT OUR FOOD

We reviewed the case and very sorry Mr*** waited hours for a delivery that did not comeWe made attempts to resolve the issue with the restaurant when he originally inquired about the status of his orderThe restaurant sent the food out for deliveryHowever, they are not certain it
arrivedThe restaurant authorized a full refund for the orderOn the day of the incident we issued the diner a $credit towards a future orderWe have issued an additional $credit the diner can use for a future order

When an order is placed on GrubHub the amount of the order is authorizedHowever, the charge remains pending for hrs to accommodate unforeseen circumstances and order adjustmentsWe were unable to
confirm the diner's order with the restaurant and the charge was voided minutes after the order was placedIn most cases the charge stays in a pending state 3-business days after the initial transactionUltimately the lifespan of the "pending state" depends on the efficiency of the cardholder's financial institutionThe nature of the food industry requires us to authorize payment prior to forwarding an order to the restaurantFresh meals have a very short expiration date and are made of many components; adding delivery to that is another layer of complexityWith so many variables in play, our restaurant partners need certainty that their costs are covered prior to preparing a mealWe are sorry for the inconvenience and have issued $credit for their next GrubHub order
