Steve C of Horizon Services came to our house on Sunday, January 17th, within one and a half hours of my initial call to the company that our heat was not workingHe identified himself, put on his shoe protectors, checked the programmable thermostat and proceeded to the basement where he quickly diagnosed the problemAfter it was resolved, he made me aware of the advantages of a one-year maintenance agreement for less than $more than the service callUpon agreement of this, he went out to his truck for additional equipment to do maintenance on the furnace, including a new filter and diagnosis of current conditionSteve was prompt, professional, friendly and courteous; a good representative of the companyIt was because of him that I chose to do this review

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Now, I am being told by Horizon staff that my home was not made to cool, so, if Horizon had known that from the jump start why was I not informed of this prior to me signing for them to install HVAC unit if it was not going to cool the top floor to begin withI am told now that my attic is not properly insulated and the attic fan is not working, why wasn't all these factors thoroughly assessed in the beginning and brought to my attention so I could've make a decision based on all these flaws that supposedly my home has?I repeatedly told them that if you know upstairs of my house will not get cool, let me know in advance before I sign anything, Instead, I was promised that this was not going to be an issue anymore, which is in fact was a lieNow, they are telling me it is my fault and that I have to yet again spend money to insulate attic and fix fan because they refused to acknowledge that they made a mistake by not properly and thoroughly informed meI was told they was a crack in the duct system that was not allowing all the air to go in the system to be cooledMy question is, how was this missed or not identified and rectify during the installation of the system? why later after the complaint? I'm sure the ducts need to be clean as well, but guess what? I found out after the fact that Horizon company do not clean ductsI feel that I was scammed out of my moneyI could have gotten better result from a cheaper companyI am stuck now paying monthly at interest rate for a flawed service Regards, [redacted]
