This business is suspect at best; no one answers the telephone at any hour of the day, and there is no voicemail on the 215 number. The voicemail on the other number found indicates that phone calls will be returned within 48 hours, but this is NOT the case, nor are emails returned.
I ordered a product online on July 6th, and have not received or gotten a response regarding my product at all. House of Beauty should be investigated for fraud.

Review: I made a purchase from this company on 11-4-13. I have been going around in circles with them on the issue of the product came damaged for a week now with them giving me the run around.

They are not willing to pay for the return postage along with Not willing to refund me my money for the item since it is no longer in stock.

I find it hard to believe after sending several emails and making several phone calls that I can not seem to get this issue resolved without paying more money out of pocket.Desired Settlement: For this company to be shut down!!

Very rude people wanting to blame the post office for the damage to the product.

I want my money refunded back to me in full for the purchase and for the additional shipping that I had to pay out of pocket.

I WILL NOT be satisfied with an exchange because the item is now out of stock and I can purchase it else where for 35 percent less.

Review: Around July 23, house of beauty charged me $21.95 for the order of 2 aloe vera [redacted] hair product. But house of beauty only send me 1 and the one they send, someone use a spoon to scope 1/3 of the amount out which to me was disgusting.

I filed a complaint to the better business of bureau. Few days later, a supervisor/manager with a Indian accent called me stating if I take my complaint out, he would refund me in full amount. We agreed and I settled the complaint.

Now when I open my credit card statement online, I see a new charge from house of beauty in the amount of $21.95 that I did not made.Desired Settlement: Refund me the unauthorized charge that was charged August 13, 2014

Review: I ordered hair on the site said 100% human hair. I get the hair and my hairdresser weaves it in my hair and she curls it and we both find out that it is not 100% human so we look on the package and it said 100% human &premium blend hair. That is not what it said on the site. So I call the company and a female answered the phone I told her the problem and she just put me on hold. She does not say hold on let me get my manager or nothing. So I talk to the mgr. owner and told him the problem. He said: if you are that stupid not to realize its not 100% human because of the price being so low than you are an it. I said to him I took advantage of your Memorial Day sale that to me meant you are trying to get rid of it for your summer stock or it did not sell to well. He said well you are an it for thinking that and your hairdresser is an it for not realizing it. My hairdresser does not look at the hair package I buy. I get it out of the package take off wrapping or anything so she can get started. My hairdresser has been doing hair for 30 years.

I kept telling him it is false advertisement on your site. I paid $35.36 for 2 packs of hair again I took advantage of Memorial Day sale. Then he said again you are an it and you are stupid. Then he said you can buy something else and he will pay for the shipping. I said on your site it said free shipping and I am not buying anything from this company again. This man said again you are a stupid [redacted] for thinking it was human hair. I said you are cursing at me calling me names and a [redacted]. because you know you are wrong. I said what is your name he said: president Obama. I said I am glad you have jokes. Then he said it is [redacted] and I said spell it and he did. And still on that site it does not say premium mix. It says sensationnel premium too sweet human hair and if you read the description of the hair. It should not say HUMAN at all because it is not human hair. And when I read sensationnel premium too sweet human hair how am I suppose to know that the brand name: sensationnel premium is not human. That was the point I was trying to make to [redacted]. I am not a professional to know that the name of that brand sensationnel premium meant synthetic hair. So the description of this hair is misleading. The word Human should not be on there period. And yes I called him after my hair dresser put it in and we realized it was synthetic and said to him who is the [redacted] now. When talking to [redacted] on the phone after all his vulgar language insulting my hairdresser my husband and myself I asked what is your name he said president Obama. And he is lying about me being a first time buyer. I am not. I wasted money on synthetic hair and wasted money for my hair dresser to put it in. And there was a hair I purchased that said master mix I did not know what master mix was until my hair dresser put it in and cut it to make a bang and it would not curl so when I got home I called and the sales associate told me to pick something else all I had to do was pay for shipping that sound reasonable. So I was satisfied. But this time I talked to a man name [redacted]. So lesson learn about master mix but not this one it does not say it is not human. Too me sensationnel premium too is the name of the brand of hair. Human should not be on that description at all. It's misleading. And I am not asking for the money I paid the hairdresser to put it in which was $75. And now I am asking for that $75 and the money I paid for the hair.

Review: This writer received the wrong product ( order # [redacted]). Items were returned for an exchange on 5-14-14, in which company received on 5-16-14, per USPS confirmation. On 5-26-14, spoke with someone from customer service, named [redacted]. Review: I placed in order from House of Beauty online on March 26, 2014. I bought a total of 8 items. On April 10, 2014 I received a package with many of my items missing. I called customer service and was hung up on several times. The person on the phone was not helpful. They said some of my items were not in stock and another package was sent out but didn't know when it would arrive or what items I would be receiving. I called customer service again the next day. I called a total of 6 times because they kept hanging up on me. I was finally able to get a hold of a supervisor. His name was [redacted]. He was very rude and unprofessional. He said he didn't know why I didn't get my complete order and would have the shipping department call me the next day. He didn't even ask for my order number. Of course no one called me the next day. I sent out a total of three emails to the email address provided on the website. no one has responded. Review: I order two different sprays from their company. They sent me two of the same. I wanted to try out the different ones to see if I liked one over the other. I called and told them they sent me two of the same and they said one had been discontinued so they sent me two of the other. The site stills shows the two different listings. I did not want two. Review: I ordered a product online from houseofbeautyworld.com on May 23, 2013. I received a confirmation email receipt stating that my order will be processed within 3 to 5 business days. $38.40 was withdrawn from my account on the same day. It has now been 12 business days and no product. I tried calling customer service a couple of times but got voice mail. One time I called and the voice box was filled. I also emailed customer services several times with no avail .Desired Settlement: If the merchandise is not in stock, then House of Beauty has a responsibility to notify its customers and refund their money.

Also, just to let you know in their attached letter to me, they stated that they tried contacting me twice by phone and emails which is not true. I never received one phone call nor one email from The House of Beauty regarding the merchandis is out of stock. I had tracked my email sent the day I ordered the merchandise on May 23, 2013. If I had never contacted The Revdex.com about their non-response to my emails and phone calls, I would still be wondering I had not recieved my merchandise yet.

Review: I had been a customer with this business for some time, and up until now thought they were people I could count on for having integrity with their dealings with me. I am visiting Santo Domingo Dom Rep. and package is being delivered here. They kept lying as to having shipped my package and had not done so, only after my asking for my money I spent a little more than 300.00 USD., did they hurry and ship my package. Review: I bought a chi hair straight iron from House of Beauty, the straight iron did not work when I got home and tried to use it. I then went out and bought another hair straightener from another store. The next day I tried to return the straight iron and get the money refunded back onto my card. The total refund amount was $135.00 (the cost of the chi hair straightener) The store manager ( a [redacted] lady) was extremely rude and told me I could not return the item and they don't do "cash back" returns. I explained to her that I originally went into the store looking for a [redacted] hair straightener which they do not carry. [redacted] the sales lady convinced me into buying a Chi hair straightener and said to me "Just buy it, I promise you will like it and if you don't you can always just return it" The manager then repeated "we do not give cash back, period" and walked away from me. I asked her if I could speak to the store manager and she responded "I don't know who owns the store, and I don't know his name" So I proceeded to tell her that I am not leaving until I can speak with someone about this who is above her. She then handed me a card with the person she identified as "[redacted]" (the stores owner) and his number [redacted]. I called the number 3 times and on the 3rd time a male answered. I asked to speak to [redacted]. I explained the situation to [redacted] and he told me I could either exchange the item or he will let me return the product but I would have to pay 20% restocking fee b/c he can not sell the product b/c I took it out of the box and tried to use it on my hair. I explained to him the product never turned on and it never touched my hair and I want my full refund for $135.00. [redacted] said to me "My store has a policy in place to abide with the Pennsylvania Law that any products opened can not be returned and resold so that means I can not resell the product and I will lose that money" He then said "hold on" and placed me on hold for about 5 minutes. Then another man picked up the phone and said "hello how may I help you" I said I was on hold for [redacted] and he said "He left so he can't come to the phone" I had to reexplain the whole story to another guy. The stores policy does not mention anything about broken or defective items not being allowed to be returned to get cash back. I already bought another hair straightener from another store so I did not want to exchange the product for another hair straightener in the House of Beauty store. In the end they took 20% "restocking fee" and only reimbursed me $108.00 instead of the $135.00 I paid for the item. I know every other store I ever bought from would allow you to return blow dryers/curling irons/hair straighteners whether they were used or not. Review: The company does not have a 'completion' date on it's label, only 'apply daily until desired colour is obtained'. I have used their product ([redacted] Pomade) for over two months with no change whatsoever in hair color, yet their policy is to have the item shipped back to them within 30 days for refund. Probably, other products (i.e. wigs), when a disparity (color) is discerned in what was ordered and what was received, the item could be returned in the alloted time. But, my product had a different protocol, whereby it took more time to evaluate its effectiveness, about 4 months.Desired Settlement: I return their product, they return my money plus return postage.

I am rejecting this response because: I feel that the amount of time it would take to change hair color should have been stated on product, even if approximate (i.e. one week.one month, three months, etc). It would have made no sense to return the product within 30 days if the coloring process would begin in, say, 45 days.

I still haven't received my order. It still has the same message from 5 days ago, (1/4/14) that my order is being processed and will be shipped in 3-7 days. I placed my order on 12/24//13; it's now 1/10/14. I called Customer Service on Thursday, 1/9/14, three times during their business hours (2-7 pm EST). No one answered the phone and the voice mail was full so you couldn't leave a message for them to call you back. I called Customer Service and the Customer Service Supervisor extension. Both were full so that you couldn't leave a message. I would like to know where is my order exactly? What else needs to be done? When will I actually receive it?

I sent this e-mail, January 12th after waiting for a response for two days.

They never sent an update. I sent this e-mail January 31st. The package arrived at 6:49 p. m., January 31st. They have yet to respond tp my e-mail.

I want my money back and I need to return my order. Before you even shipped it to me, I spoke to an associate on and told her that I wanted to cancel my order. That was on a Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 3:22 p.m., CST. She stated that refunds are issued on Friday. That Friday came and went. I would call and call and no one would either answer the phone, return my messages, or the voice mail box was full. I called Friday, Jan. 24 at 3:42, 4:56, 4:58, 5:02 and 5:06 p.m., CST. I called Monday, Jan. 27, 4:07 and 5:18 p.m. When I finally got a live person on Monday at 5:18 p.m., they told me the order was in transit and gave me tracking number. I finally received this box and it is unopened and not even the color I wanted. I had to make other arrangements for my hair since it took you over 30 days to send me this order, even though I told you to cancel it before you shipped it! It's a wonder you managed to stay in for over 30 years with these shoddy business practices!

Review: I Puchased something from them and I have sent numerous emails asking where my product is and have no hear any response. The tracking info is incorrect and is not an actual tracking number. They put my phone number as the tracking number, Have been calling them all week and either get a busy signal on the numbers they have listed on their website or when it sounds like someone answers, it just hangs up on me. No one has called me back despite the voicemails I have left and no one is replying to my emails. They took the money out of my account instantly but are not holding up their end. Below is what they charged me and when. That phone number leads to nowhere and you never actually talk to anyone no matter how many times you call.

I am rejecting this response because: I am not okay with this. I was charged for the order instantly and I called and emailed for a whole week with no response from anybody and kept being hung up on when I called. I do not want to do business with your company if that is how your customers are treated. You can cancel the shipment and keep your flat iron. I needed this flat iron for a gift this past weekend, which is already past and useless to me now since I had to go to [redacted] supply and purchase a different flat iron.. This order was placed and your end of the deal was not held up when I did not receive anything and could not even get in contact with anybody. This is HORRIBLE customer service and I am very displeased with this company. You will not be getting good reviews from me.

Review: I order a product from House of Beauty World on May 23 and never received the item. On June 5th I contacted the company in reference to my NOT receiving the item and asked about tracking, the person on the phone got very rude and said "you just called here a few minutes ago, tell you what, I am giving you your money back today and not dealing with this." I said, "Yes I called earlier, and I am calling back hoping I would reach someone else because I felt you were not taking my problem seriously." He said you're getting your money back today and I am sending you an email right now to that effect." Well, 3 hours later I still had not received the email and my money has not been redeposited into my account." This person was very rude and he lied about the email and my refund. They took the money out of my account the same day I placed the order, I would like to get my money back just as fast. This company's representatives are not professional or honorable.Desired Settlement: I would like my money redeposited into my account and an email/letter of apology.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, however their statement is not accurate, not once was I told it would be 3 -4 days before I received my refund. If they had indeed listened to the recording they would not have made that statement. Also, not once did I state in my complaint that the representative Raised their voice, but they were indeed Rude. Email bounce back - I have 10 advertisement emails from their business, it’s funny that those made it to my email box, but the email in reference to my refund didn’t. The last email advertisement I received came in yesterday at 3:30 pm.

Review: I ordered 23 items of makeup from their website and was billed in full for all 23 items. When the shipment arrived, 5 items were missing. The packing slip indicated that 5 items were not shipped and that I was refunded for these 5 items. I was never refunded for these items. I made two follow up phone calls and each time was assured that I would be refunded, but each time the customer service attendant had no record of what needed to be refunded, and never issued the refund after I gave the details. The last time I called, I asked to speak to a superviser and was placed on hold indefinitely. Their customer service number is not toll free, so I have been paying for all the long distance calls and still do not have my refund.Desired Settlement: I expect to be refunded $22.81
