Hello, Thank you for the concern regarding your account. Ibotta is legally bound by Inactivity Fees and must apply them to accounts that have not redeemed any rebates for 12 months. On 9/16/17, the user wrote our support team and requested to deactivate their own account. Please note that...
inactivity fees will occur whether the account is active or deactivated. If the user would like to continue earning Ibotta rebates as to not incur inactivity fees, please write our support team who can reactivate your account. Please note that you must redeem a rebate or your account will be charged it's first inactivity fee. Here is some more information regarding inactivity fees: [redacted] Thanks and have a nice day.
Hello, Thank you for the concern regarding your account. We have experienced several issues with [redacted] submissions and our developers are working to resolve the overall issue this week. For this instance, we have reviewed your receipts and gave you credit for the missing...
rebates. You can now view your Ibotta earnings in the "Withdraw Cash" page. In the future, be sure to go through our normal customer service portal and allow 48 hours for an initial response from one of our team members. The more a user writes in, the further their inquiries are pushed back in our queue because it is viewed as an update. Each time you have an issue, we ask that you write in with the receipt in question attached and someone will be happy to resolve your issue. Thank you for your understanding. Have a great day.
Hello, Thank you for the concern regarding your account and your referrals. Upon review of the user's multiple accounts and referrals, we are firm in our decision to keep the user's account deactivated. We are happy to explain our decision. On 9/1/15, [redacted] created an account with...
Ibotta. The user was a great user, earning credit through redemptions as well as inviting some new users to Ibotta. On 8/4/17, the user created a duplicate account, with the same user information on her same device. On 8/5/17, using the second account, the user again referred herself to a different device that was being shared with 5 additional accounts that were referred by the first account. All of these accounts shared the same user information. Then on 11/16/17, the user again referred herself to the same device as the first account, again sharing the same account information as all previous accounts. On 8/5/17, the user submitted a receipt to her first account that had been submitted on one of her additional accounts and received credit for the submission. On 12/1/17, the user submitted a fraudulent receipt to the system in order to earn Ibotta credit. Upon review of the user's account, several receipts were submitted multiple times in order to receive Ibotta credit. Per Ibotta’s Terms of Use, Section 11, users may not create more than one (1) Ibotta account. Per Ibotta's Terms of Use, Section 10.11, users may not exploit or attempt to exploit Ibotta’s referral bonus program in an effort to earn illegitimate referral bonuses or credit(s). This includes the following: inviting oneself on an additional account or inviting others who share the same mobile device. Users shall not be eligible to earn referral bonuses if they invite other users who share the same mobile device, create multiple accounts, or attempt to exploit our referral program in any way. Such actions violate our Terms of Use and provide clear evidence for Ibotta to terminate a user’s account, rescind any referral bonuses, or take any other actions as appropriate. Per our Terms of Use, Section 10.1, users may not submit purchase information that is considered one of the following: false, inaccurate, fabricated, counterfeited, tampered with, adjusted, or otherwise artificial or inauthentic for the purpose of seeking to redeem offers with Ibotta. Per Ibotta's terms of use, Section 10.3 users may not upload receipts to Ibotta that have already been uploaded by you or another user (regardless of the rebates being redeemed by each user). Unfortunately, due to the various violations of Ibotta's Terms of Use as stated here, we will not reactivate the user's multiple accounts with Ibotta as well as the fraudulent referral accounts. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the user's understanding and cooperation. Thank you.
Hello, Thank you for your response. The following was sent to you via email by our Support Team: "We have completed a review of your account and as a one-time courtesy, we have reactivated your account for use with the understanding that future behavior that violates our Terms of Use may result in a permanent suspension of your account. Per Ibotta's terms of use, Section 10.3 users may not upload receipts to Ibotta that have already been uploaded by you or another user (regardless of the rebates being redeemed by each user). Please review our Terms of Use to avoid suspension in the future. They can be viewed here: https://ibotta.com/docs/terms If you have any questions or concerns please let us know. Have a great day!" Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Hello, As stated previously, we have chosen to permanently deactivate your account. We have already provided proof that you returned several items associated with Ibotta offers. We verified that receipts submitted to us, through your account, were redeemed for rebate credit then the items were returned after receiving cash credit from Ibotta. Per Ibotta's Terms of Use, Section 10.2, users may not redeem, or attempt to redeem, Ibotta offers for products that have not actually been purchased and retained, or for products that have been purchased but returned to a store or online vendor, following purchase. Regardless of the intentions, such actions violate our Terms of Use and provide clear evidence for Ibotta to terminate a user's account, reverse or correct user rewards balances, or take other actions as appropriate. Due to the nature of our business, we reserve the right to suspend accounts either temporarily or permanently if users violate any section of our Terms of Use. At this time, we will be unable to reactivate your account. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

I am rejecting this response because: i can provide the names, date of births, phone numbers, picture of the phones....I mean, come on! The fact that you deactivated my wife's and daughters account after I submitted the Revdex.com complaint shows something. It's almost like you have a grudge or something. Please just reverse course.
Sincerely,

Hello, After a second review of your account, we are firm in our decision to permanently deactivate your account. We work with brands to deliver high-quality rebates to our users, who we pay cash to, for items being purchased and retained. When users operate outside our Terms of Use they are breaking this contract. If we allowed our users to continue this behavior we would jeopardize our reputation and relationship with our brand affiliates and other users. Due to the nature of our business, we reserve the right to suspend accounts either temporarily or permanently if users violate any section of our Terms of Use. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

account. As stated previously in correspondences with our representatives, we have verified that more than one account was created using your information (specifically three separate accounts). Per Ibotta's Terms of Use, Section 11, users may not create more than one (1) Ibotta account. All subsequent accounts created will remain permanently deactivated. We have also verified that you have attempted to refer at least one account that uses the same account or purchase information. in regards to "The business has indicated there is not a hold or block of your account on their end. Please clarify which account has the funds and which account you are having trouble with" All of my problems stem from the account tied to phone number [redacted] and email [redacted]I know they say there is no hold on their end, but I continue to get a message saying otherwise. furthermore, when I email to complain, it takes them days if not weeks to respond and we always start at square one - as in they have no idea who I am or what I have already discussed with them
I don't want to waste more time with this business. They only point fingers at users but don't take responsibilities and admit the loopholes in their systems that allow users to make all kinds of mistakes. They are very quick and strict to catch user mistakes though.Yes we did share receipts between two family accounts, but it was for totally different items purchased. I already told them many times, I didn't read their "terms" and didn't know users shouldn't share receipts. We made a point NOT to submit the same items from the same receipt twice into the systems. Our intent was to abide the terms of use. At this point, we do not plan on using Ibotta ever again. We do not care if they open/close our accounts any more. But we feel bad all our earnings have been robbed by a business THIEF who instead treats their users like criminals!

I am rejecting this response because: Ibotta and its employees continue with the lies. Revdex.com is no better, who gives a B rating to a company with this amount of negative reviews and complaints vs the positive. I no longer use Ibotta nor will ever again. Why allow them to continue to steal from its users. The communication will be with my lawyer. Lawsuit is in the process.
Sincerely,

Hello, Unfortunately, we are firm in our decision to maintain deactivation since the user was previously educated about the behavior and continued with the behavior multiple times. Additional claiming offers that are not present on the receipt is not allowed. Upon review of the user's receipts, the user is not only claiming "Any Brand" offers as stated, but is also claiming high ticket offers or specific offers and then purchasing the store brand in place of the proper brand name item. For other users, we have this article available in the help center to educate users about removing an offer that is not on the receipt (https://help.ibotta.com/hc/en-us/articles/115006971128-How-do-I-remove-an-offer...⇄ apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the user's cooperation and understanding. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:i have done nothing wrong. I made the purchase and you still refuse to pay the rebate. It is very unfortunate for your business because I will continue to purse my right as a consumer to receive my rebate. It is unllawful that you continue to deny my honest explanation and deny any other reason why I have violated your terms and conditions. Yet again you give no other response regarding a need for more information so I can prove to you I made the purchase. After I request my money I already earned you reactivated my account. Of course I am going to take my money out. You already deny me the rightful amount I earned from rebates I submitted. This is a very sad situation and I will continue to prove I made those purchases!!!!
Sincerely,

Hello, Thank you for posting about Ibotta. The user's email address: [redacted] does not yield any active Ibotta accounts. The one account found under this email address has been closed and has no phone number linked to the account. The user's name: [redacted] also does...
not yield any active accounts. Therefore, we believe that this is not an actual user of Ibotta. We ask the user to verify that they have submitted the correct name and email address on the account that they would like us to assist with. Thank you and have a nice day.
