The worst customer service and follow up
I used the service for a while and it seemed like it was doing what it's supposed to do, all of the sudden, I was told that my account was locked out, I called customer service 3 maybe 4 times, I was told I will hear from someone that will fix it never heard from anyone, so I went ahead and emailed 2 other times no one ever responded, it's been about 3 months, I cant use the service but they continue to charge my CC absolute GARBAGE!

HORRIBLE!!!
I paid the $9.95 introductory fee and tried to search someone only to be directed to a request for ADDITIONAL PAYMENT before they would issue the report. This after 30 minutes of waiting for the search download. I canceled the membership right away and the company continued to bill me $38.95 for two more months, even after they promised to cancel the account. I called my credit card company and filed a dispute. True ID told me they would refund the entire amount they charged me ID I would get my credit card company on the phone to confirm that the dispute had been dropped. After 45 minutes on the line, and a lengthy conversation, my credit card rep confirmed the charges had been dropped and TrueID promised to refund my money. One month later: NO REFUND! I called and they told me I had to get my credit card company on the phone again. After TWENTY MINUTES on the phone with their representative, and after I treated to hang up and call my credit card company and file a dispute, their representative said "OK, I'm going to issue a refund." At this point he has issued a partial refund, but tells me that it will take 24 hours to refund the balance because it must be done by a supervisor because it is over 90 days since the charge was made. WE'LL SEE! I told him I would give him 24 hours and then I will call my credit card company and file a dispute that I WILL NOT DROP! UNBELIEVABLE! DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE! I'm retired, so I have the time to sit on the phone. But if I were still working, it would not be worth my time to call them and waste so much time. I'm sure this is what they are counting on. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!

Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: The company misrepresented what it would provide for the fee they were chargingAt no point was I informed of an automatic monthly charge for more than twice the original amountAfter much searching after the second charge was made, I finally found their well-hidden 'disclaimer'This company wass not very forthcoming with their shady terms until I called them out on itI found the little information they provided in their so-called searches to be lacking, if not comPletely incorrectI know this to be true because after the first inaccuracy, I " searched" my own nameAgain, it was incomplete or inaccurateTheir "courtesy" half refund was a further insultThey are fraudulent and should be shut down for goodYou can find more and better information on Google for free! Complaint: I am rejecting this response because:My specific request to IDTrue was to have all of my information removed from your database While it is true that the name S [redacted] cannot be found when conducting an IdTrue search in the state of West Virginia, sadly my exact information is available in each and every other state I have lived I was able to see my exact information when conducting a search for my name in the states of Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and North DakotaEffectively, IDTrue has made my information more available to the public This latest action by IDTrue appears to have the intent to harmI reject IDTrue's response Regards, S [redacted]

Unfortunately, we cannot remove the general public's information from our search results such as name or location since it is aggregated from multiple 3rd party public records Our website simply searches existing databases and sites with public record information such as property records, court records, and licenses However, if the customer has an official signed court order, such as an expungement, to block a public record (arrest, court judgement, etc.), we can facilitate this removal since it is not intended to be public record T [redacted] Vice President Operations
