While they did remove it from the multiple sites they were advertising on - I am not okay with the fact it had been removed awhile ago from the main site but then kept on to advertise on multiple sites. I want to make sure that it will never be used for their multiple advertising sites again. Also for the sake of others their Optout policy should opt people out of their multiple ads exposing people's information - not just their own website.

On 05/07/2014, PeopleSmart received notice from PayPal that the transaction in question for $23.40 had been disputed. At that time, the funds for the customer order were reclaimed by PayPal and retracted from PeopleSmart. Regrettably, once these funds are reclaimed by PayPal, PeopleSmart is unable to issue a refundthe funds for the customer order are no longer in our possession. As customer elected to dispute the payment with PayPal, the refund was processed in accordance with PayPal's terms. Once the refund has been issued, I am satisfied. But a few comments. PeopleSmart huh? Terms on their site huh? yeah right. Where is the email receipt saying that I supposedly signed up for a subscription fro Peoplesmart or emailfinder.com or God knows how many other sites they are fraudulently operating under? These people ought to be shut down. Thank you Revdex.com for you assistance. It is wonderful to have an overarching authority to turn to who actually looks into problems like this.

Their technique for gaining customers is a dishonest method to trick people into becoming subscribers. It is one that I should have been more careful in participating. However, why should I be held to pay for a company's devious methods in obtaining sales. This practice should be outlawed. At least a warning should be sent to prospective customers. I will not accept a token credit. I did not give them permission to make charges to my credit card. They use methods to gain your confidence and then, without your permission, bill your credit card, as if you did order the service. I never used or where aware of the service. They did not send any notices to me. My negligence was in not discovering the charges being made to my credit card until many months went by.

On 10/10/14 the customer purchased a background report for $19.99 along with a 7-day trial period to PeopleVerified anda 7-day trial to IdentitySmart. The purchases were itemized on the checkout screen prior to payment. The trials were not cancelled which led to monthly memberships for both PeopleVerified and IdentitySmart.
