Intelius’s policy is to use all applicable means to deliver the information service to our customers. The information we provide is gathered from selected public records and other sources. Local, state, and federal agencies make updates to public records. The information can come
from sources such as: marketing surveys, land deeds, catalog purchases, voter registrations, lawsuit filings, court records, magazine subscriptions, and address changes. This data is compiled into a comprehensive public record search that Intelius maintains with active updates from its sources.We want Ms*** to be fully satisfied with her purchase from Intelius. Since she was not completely satisfied with the People Search Report with the Single State Criminal Check, Business Profile Summary, and Phone and Address Check, we have processed a refund in the total amount of $to her account on 11/24/2015. This refund ($3.95, $22.85) will appear on her statement in one of the next two billing cycles depending on the closing. Again, all charges have been refunded.We sincerely appreciate your cooperation in resolving this matter and apologize for any inconvenience

Intelius customers are presented with a two tier pricing structure when purchasing reports on the Intelius website. They have the option of paying the full price, or a discounted promotional price which includes a 7-Day Pass of the Intelius Premier Plus Membership. When a customer
selects the promotional price, they are presented the benefits of the membership and the terms and conditions of the offer, including billing. By choosing to proceed with the purchase at the promotional price, the customer agrees to the terms and conditions of the promotional offer.In this case, the promotional offer was accepted and the Intelius Premier Plus 7-Day Pass was activated As requested, the Intelius Premier Plus Membership was canceled on 4/15/and a refund was issued in the total amount of $89.85. The refund will appear on Ms*** statement ($29.95x3) in one of the next two billing cycles, depending on the closing date. All membership charges have been refunded and no future membership charges will occur.We received Ms*** refund request regarding overdraft fees however; we are unable to process refunds for overdraft charges. As requested, we have refunded the charges for the Intelius Premier Plus Membership.Additionally, Intelius keeps all customers billing information secured and encrypted. The billing information cannot be seen in the system, it is truncated for security. Unfortunately, the billing information cannot be removed Ms*** account has been disabled. This means that her account can no longer be accessed by logging in.We appreciate your cooperation in resolving this matter and apologize for any inconvenience

Gentlefolk--Regarding a recent complaint I filed against the Intelius background-check service, I wish to reply that the complaint has been resolved to my satisfaction and I have no further grievance against the company, but have been unable to convey this using your website.My only further comment is to protest the common practice of many online retailers to rely on ‘bait-and-switch’ tactics to offer a sample product and automatically enroll the customer in a subscription with automatic monthly charges, without clear notification of this ploy.Can you do anything to discourage this, at least with otherwise responsible companies like Intelius?Thank you for your excellent handling of this complaint.Sincerely,*** ***

This would indicate they ARE experiencing problemsSince their business is Internet based, it is difficult to comprehend "why" bugs would exist with their customer interface for an extended period of timeI am currently overseas and it is not practicle for me to phone their customer serviceTheir reply also indicated that they don't accept credit card payments over the phoneAs I indicated: several attempts were made over the course of days to input "multiple" credit card(s) on their payment portalI could not complete any of the transactions as a "problem" with the credit card was indicatedThey have acknowledged a "problem" with their webpage but not a problem with the payment portion? I am unaware of what a phone call would resolveRegardless if their "email" customer service link works or not on their web page, I sent an email directly to customer support which, went unansweredPerhaps they should issue me a "case" number and a primary point of contact to follow up a customer concernNot a: call our toll free numberSo, that I can enter a revolving phone tree, explain the problems I have been experiencing to 1/dozen people in India that are all very sorry about my problemThat is not customer service, that will not fix the problem.Sincerely,*** ***
