This is by FAR the WORST company with which I've ever dealt When I purchased my vehicle in December of 2016, both my credit and my husband's credit were not great We settled for a loan with Exeter because we needed a vehicle despite many warnings that this company is horrible In January of 2018, I made my monthly payment early online Apparently, Exeter wiped the payment out of their system I had no idea that this happened UNTIL I paid my February payment (again, it was early) I gave them the benefit of the doubt and paid both January and February online Within a couple of weeks, I received a letter that our vehicle would be repossessed due to lack of payment I called Exeter, and they claimed to never have received a payment for January or February Not only did that further KILL my credit and my husband's credit, but we also received a late fee for over $ I made my payment for March a few days ago and realized today that it had been wiped out AGAIN I am in the process of trying to get it paid so I am not charged yet another late fee from them This company really seems like a scam to me They are in the business of preying on folks that have subpar credit by offering rates that are entirely too high, and then they pile enormous late fees on top of that I will NEVER do business with them again

This is the worse experience I have ever hadI have had this car loan for years nowThey make harrassing calls when days lateI had my bank information saved with their website so I can just log in and pay when it was due, big mistakeThey decided to take a payment from my account when I did not authorize it! They refunded it but not after causing me major problems with the bankI have since removed my info from their website and use Western Union Speed PayJust recently I mistakenly used the wrong bank account to make an one-time payment (since I now have to input my bank information everytime I want to make a payment) and of course it was returned (I know this was my fault)As soon as I realized my mistake I made the payment with the right bank accountExeter repeately continued to push payment thought to the wrong bank account even though they recieved my payment from the right accountCalled customer service twice, no one was any help, one agent left me on hold for min (probably hoping I would hang up)They did not understand my point that they should stop trying to take a payment when they have recieved the paymentI had to close that bank account just to stop racking up bank feesI cannot wait until my credit is better and I can refinance with a better companyPlease choose any other company, even if that means higher paymentsYou get what you pay for

I financed my vehicle with Exeter Finance Corporation on 02/14/and the loan was paid in full 06/22/I requested a refund for my gap insurance which was prorated for the amount of $in July of 2015, it is 09/02/and I have still yet to receive it after countless hours and days on the phone with customer serviceEvery time I talk to Exeter I get the same response, "your check has been processed and approved for refund, we will be sending a check by mail for the amount of $and you should receive it within business days." This complaint is against Exeter Finance Corporation August 2011, I purchased a Mazda from Ivory Chevrolet in Union City, GA Exeter Finance Corp were the financiers of my loan (August 2011) Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond my control, I was no longer able to make the payments and the vehicle as repossessed in January My credit reports are showing that I am currently days past due (TransUnion and Equifax); and $written off, $past due (Experian) In the past, I have been having trouble getting my credit reports to reflect that this was a repossession; because it is still showing as if I still have the vehicle after it was repossessed in January (over yrs ago)

Very predatory lendingExeter went into my bank account times in one month after I set up two paymentThey withdrew all payments and caused me to over draftI have yet to get a response for thisAlso, They seem to apply your entire payment directly to interest in the beginning of the loan, after nearly 11k paid I have had on 2K taken off my principle after months of paymentsThat makes it pretty hard to escape this company and find financing else where as my car depreciatesI will be seeking a new lender ASAP
