derogatory late payment reports to credit bureau
I have paid this company on time each monthMy car was totaled and due to a mix up on my insurance's part, they received the payments many months laterThe car was completely covered and I eventually received a refund of almost $4,but not after many frustrating phone callsI also received many threatening letters from the company indicating that I owed them almost $4,and that my account was anywhere from days past due to days past due depending on the letter which seemed to come at random times with random datesThis has been a very frustrating experience and I hope this warns any other consumer from being a victim of this companyI have disputed these claims on all three credit reports and I won't stop until I have justiceThe whole point of paying such high interest was to help my credit - not destroy itThese guys are monsters who prey on consumersBuyer beware

This company is reporting inaccurate information on my credit report and refuses to correct it
IN february I saw my credit and realized that Exeter had posted my final payment as late with Experian and TransunionI disputed the account with the credit bureausExperian returned with an update stating the account had been correctedIt now shows as paid/never lateTransUnion is still showing my final payment was lateI have since disputed this account more times with the bureaus and have even brought it to the attention of Exeter on 12/and 1/25/but they have not corrected itIN fact, TransUnion states that Exeter has verified it as accurateso Exeter has offically verified that I am late with TransUnion and never late with ExperianThis is a clear violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act

Back in August we were informed to make a split payment agreement which would not affect our credit They have marked a neg item on our credit
Back in August of we contacted Exeter due to some payment constraints and the rep informed up to make a split payment arrangement that would not affect our credit report as long as we kept the arrangement We did our part and kept the arrangement but shortly after the payment was made they sent a late payment notice to the credit bureaus which affected our credit negatively Since then we have been in contact with Exeter and have been told multiple times but multiple reps that they would be updating our credit report and getting this corrected as they had agreed to remove the late payment notice on the account We were also affected by Hurricane Irma which caused a change to our account I spoke to a Janelle who informed me there were notes in the system that sated they would be sending an update to get our credit reports adjusted T
