Falsely reporting to credit agency I purchased my vehicle in I have been on time with my payments except for a couple times when I had some issues ariseWhen I contacted Exeter Finance about my loan, I kept receiving different dates about when it would matureIt was a different story everytimeI looked at my credit report and they were reporting to the credit agency since January that I was days late which was falseI paid the car off in October and they are still reporting to the credit agency that my account is delinquent

COMPLAINT REGARDING AMOUNT ADVISED OF BILLING DUE AND DEROGGATORY MARK ON CREDIT IN CONTACTING EXETER FINANCE ON THE PAYMENT THAT WAS MAILED IN TO THE COMPANY, A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE ADVISED THAT THE ACCOUNT WAS PAID UP TO DATE AND WAS NO LONGER DELINQUENT HE WAS ASKED IF THE COMPANY'S WEBSITE WAS ACCURATE WHERE HE RESPONDED THAT THE SITE NORMALLY DOESN'T CATCH UP THE PAYMENT HOWEVER,THIS GENTLEMAN ADVISED ME THAT WE WERE NO LONGER DAYS DELINQUENT AND THAT THERE WAS SUFFICIENT TIME TO PAY THE LOAN WE RECEIVED A CALL TWICE RECENTLY INDICATING THAT THE LOAN WAS DAYS PAST DUE, AND TO ADD INSULT THE GENTLEMAN WE HAD SPOKEN WITH PLACED NO NOTATION ON THE ACCOUNT I ADVISED "ROBBIE" THAT THERE WAS INCOMPETENCE ON THE PART OF CUSTOMER SERVICE BECAUSE TEHRE WAS NO NOTATION, NO RECORDING, YET THEY ARE MORE THAN WILLING TO NOT RESLOVE THE FACT THAT CREDIT ISSUES HAVE NOW OCCURRED IF THIS COMPANY WOULD TAKE OWNERSHIP OF THE LACK ON THEIR PART, THE PROBLEMS THAT ARE AT F

Customer Service is misleading when it comes to payment extensions I called into the Exeter finance customer service line to inform them I was having difficulty in making my monthly payment due to reduction in hours at my jobI did what they called a payment extension plan which puts what I owed for that month on the back end of my loanthe gentleman who assisted me couldn't hardly speak English and was very difficult to understandthe date was around October 5th, when I made the call and he told me that my next due date would be November 24thon October 24th I received a call saying that my payment was past due for OctoberI told the representative that I just made a payment extension and she told me that the extension took care of Septembers payment and not OctoberI told her that the person who did my extension did not mention that this said extension would ake care of Septembers payment but just in formed me that the next payment due was NovemberShe told me I was wro

Online site & call center site shows completely different payoff/payment information I checked my online account to see what the payoff amount would be prior to taking a loan out & was given an amount that DID NOT include the interestI called to confirm this amount & see why the amounts were different & was told that their online site doesn't include interestThis is completely advertisement to their customers as we look at this & the statements that we receive in the mail to make arrangements to pay or payoff our loansThe website & the call center should have the same information on both sites as to cause little to no confusion to those wanting to pay off their loans earlyI will NEVER finance with this company EVER again & STRONGLY advise anyone seeking finance options to avoid using this company EVER

The new website is horribleThey will not address your issue via message (so why have it?) I have been using the website to set payments and payment arrangement since I've had my vehicle Which has worked well with my busy scheduleEvery now and than I would need to call customer service just to confirm my payments sand they were wonderful and fast Now the website has been challenging at setting up payments ahead of time and all I get is robot response via Messages on their website My work and kids makes it really hard for me to be on the phone for longer than minutes When you do talk to customer service they are rude and say rude comments under their breath like I can't hear them Customer Service used to not be like that They were understanding of my situation and always worked with me so I didn't fall behind Since, the website I have fell behind accrued these extra charges because I fell behind and make it impossible to have other ways to contact them I pre

This company should not be able to get away with the incompetence they've displayed in my 66-month dealings with them In I was granted a loan deferral, or so I thought, that would move two payments to the end of my loan and spare me from any late payment and chargesI received letter from them telling me my next payment would be due in two months from original due date When I finally went to make the payment, the statement said I owed three monthsSomeone had not entered the agreement into the system, making me days lateI spent month-after-month fighting with them about my deferment agreementAfter months of fighting, I finally had reached someone who identified the problem and promised to have it fixed They immediately entered me into another deferment and gave me another payment due date of two months laterOnce again when I went to make the payment, I had a balance due of three payments, another 90-day late on my credit report By then I was furious and fed up with the around-the-clock calls and the various amounts of payment I was told I needed to make to fix thingsWe finally got a manager to call us back and went over the history of the loanHe was very perplexed at the different dates and amounts given to meIn the end he identified the problems and said he would recommend the account be updated to reflect the payments made I received mail from Exeter showing the findings in the auditThe company agreed to show me as current from that day but did not remove any of the past lates showing on my credit reportTo this day I cannot get approved for anything as I have over 30-day late payments, 60-day lates and three 90-day lates; no credit cards, no cars, a home, anything!! I have vehicle loan with Exeter and twice I have canceled payments yet they withdrew the payment still when they knew my payoff was overnighted I called Exeter Finance on July 6th advising them we were refinancing the loan and to cancel the payment I had scheduled for 7/9/ I was told the payment would be canceled and I had until July 12th before anything would negatively impact my credit On 7/9/I overnighted the payoff amount for the loan; however, on the same day Exeter did not cancel the payment as previously advised and withdrew funds anyway in the amount of $ I called immediately when I saw this occur but was advised they could not do anything and it would take them days to return my money even though this was their error for not canceling it I then had to contact my bank and put a stop payment on the funds

Without my knowledge, they attempted to take a payment out of my checking account twice, overdrafting me twice in a week I had called in and was setting up a payment date on February 11thI was told by the woman that my scheduled payment was cancelled for the next dayThey tried to pull money out that following Monday on the 15thIt cost me $I made my payment on that Friday of the 19thThey again tried to pull money out of my account that next Monday on the 21stWhen I called in to tell them I had already made a payment, I had had my bank fax over proof that they had overdrawn my account (I was told this would be put back into my account by Exeter), I was treated very rudelyI was told my account is under reviewI finally called back in today to find out where my refund was and was told it was still under reviewIt may not seem like a lot of money, but when you are living paycheck to paycheck it is a week's worth of groceries
