Ipsos Reviews (172)

Review: In late January I signed up to be a i-Say survey panel member. When surveys are completed, or partially completed, the survey taker is rewarded points. To this day I have fully completed at LEAST five surveys worth a total of 315 points that have gone uncompensated. There was no technical issues on my end, I took each of the five surveys in one sitting, and I at the end of each survey it said "completed" and that I was rewarded so many points. Each of the surveys points were distributed as shown below:

90 points for oral care product survey

90 points for a particular chocolate candy maker

45 points for a particular chocolate candy maker

45 points for unknown

45 points for unkown

I have contacted i-Say several different times with responses ranging from 'sorry we cant help without a reference number' (I didn't write down the reference number because I was under the impression that this was a good trustworthy company that rewarded points when they were earned) to multiple emails telling me 'we will let you know in a few days'.

Honestly I have wasted enough time with taking surveys, emailing, and writing this report for a minimum of 315 points. Every survey I took after writing to the company initially about this issue has been rewarded as promised.Desired Settlement: Reward me at minimum 315 points for the time I put into taking these survey's and an apology for a substantial waste of my time. Please fix your procedures and your technology to acknowledge and record that these surveys and future surveys have and will be completed for me and future survey takers.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find to this point the company has acknowledged their mistake and made recompense. My terms were to not only be compensated for the time I put in completing surveys but to make changes to their system so these "mistakes" and other similar happening will not resurface.

Review: I am an survey respondent for their I Say online survey division. I complete surveys;they award points for each survey which can be redeemed for awards. I completed a survey on toothpaste purchasing and preferences that took one-hour to complete. It was supposed to take 45 minutes, but the survey page where they simulate a store shelf with different brands of toothpaste on them crashed my computer. I was able to reboot the page after 10 minutes and completed the survey. The points were never awarded, instead after finishing the last page, the site cycled very quickly through different pages, and I had to shut down the computer. There was a definite technical glitch on their end, but I did complete the survey and should have been awarded 300 points. I have repeatedly contacted them with the survey # and terms of the agreement, all to no avail. [redacted] is the person who theorectically is responsible for awarding the points in the company.Desired Settlement: I want the 300 points added to my account as promised for completing the toothpaste survey

Review: On * February 2016 I requested to redeem survey points I had earned for a $50 [redacted] card and a $10 Pizza Hut gift card. They were supposed to be emailed to me immediately. I never received them. I contacted the company twice on their website, first on 8 February and again today on ** February, but received no reply from the company. My account shows that both gift cards were ordered and are marked "Finalized". The company has no phone number to call; the only avenue of contact is their web site that they never respond to.Desired Settlement: Receipt of the $50 [redacted] card and the $10 Pizza Hut gift card that I tried to redeem from the points I had earned.

Review: I-Say is an online survey site that posts online surveys for members to complete in return for cash rewards, usually redeemable in the form of gift certificates. When you reach a certain level ($10.00 or $25.00, for example), you are eligible to cash out your earnings. However, I-say will disable your account when you get close to the cash out threshold level so they don't have to pay you. In my case, they have disabled my account when my balance reached $24.15, just 85 cents before I would be eligible to cash out a $25 reward. They give vague reasons such as "Inconsistencies in responses", without any further explanation. They are a scam survey site, which wastes hours of your time taking surveys, since the promised rewards on their website are not going to be paid.Desired Settlement: I want a check or [redacted] gift certificate for $24.15 from the company before I close my account with them forever.

Business

Response:

Hi, I'm currently waiting for the points to be added back to his account and I will get back to you once this was done. We regularly conduct complex statistical analysis on the answers provided by our members. We use various ways to detect contradictions and analyze your answers. We deactivate the accounts of those who give contradictory answers. It seems that this account fell under this category. Therefore, we’ve been required to deactivate the account and cancel the i-Say membership. We’re aware that the answers might not have been intentionally skewed. This decision was made for market research purposes only, and we’re sorry if it caused any inconvenience.Regards,[redacted]

Review: I filled out a monthly survey for a year ( April, 2012 through March,2013) on pesticide use for this company and was supposed to receive a $25 AMEX gift card at the completion of survey. I called in May,2013 and spoke to a [redacted] to find out when gift card would be sent. They said research is still being analyzed and I should receive gift card mid to late summer. I called back in July,2013 and spoke to [redacted] and was told I should receive gift card shortly.I called again on November **,2013 and inquired about why I still have not received gift card. She told me they would look into it and call me back. She called back the following day and left message that they did not receive November,2013 survey and so I was inelligible to receive gift card.I filled out every survey they sent and mailed back for the year.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive $ 25 gift card as promised

In regards to Case #[redacted]: The panelist didn't meet all of the requirements of the study by retuning all of the completed materials. This is the reason she didn't initially receive the incentive. However, we appreciate her efforts with the study and she will receive the Visa Pre-paid card in approximately 2 to 3 weeks.

Please consider this case closed, and let me know when this is done.

Thank you,

After being a member for over 10 years they deactivated my account and refuse to pay out my points. With a quick [redacted] search you will find better survey sites with better points per survey pay outs.

Review: On November **, 2014... [redacted] emailed me saying, he selected me to participate in a 25- 30 minute follow-up conversation about televisions. He said if I complete it, I will receive 1,000 points which is the equivalent of $10.00.

I completed the survey on 11/**... As of this date I have not receive my $10.00. I emailed the customer service many many times and they tell me they will be happy to look into the issue I mentioned. Each time I email the customer service support team about this issue... they email me the same response: I'll be happy to look into the issue you mentioned.

I am so tired of contacting someone who just likes to ignore me.Desired Settlement: I want my 1,000 points!

Review: this company has completely failed to reply to my multiple support tickets. I have been unable to log in to their site for weeks now, I have stopped receiving daily survey emails from them and points I had earned have mysteriously disappeared. I have NOT received any notice of this company shutting down and they have ignored every attempt I have made to contact them across multiple platforms(email, [redacted]).Desired Settlement: I want my messages replied to! ignoring me is NOT allowed and extremely RUDE. I want my messages replied to, my access to their site and my points restored and survey emails resumed immediately.

Business

Response:

Hi,Please note that I checked our records and as you can see from the emails attached we answered to [redacted]'s requests, including the one referring to the points being deducted from her account. Also, the reason for which she stopped receiving survey invitations is because her account was inactivated. We analyzed the information collected in our surveys and noticed some contradictions in the answers she provided. These discrepancies affected the accuracy of our survey results. As a consequence, we were obligated to deactivate her membership.Regards,Carmen

They have NO legal right to deactivate my account as I did NOTHING wrong! I also received NO such emails from them other than some stupid auto-message thing about a new bonus points system. I want my account restored NOW!

Review: I was a member with Ipsos surveys for awhile. Things happen in life and I was not able to log on for a long time. The next time I was able to, my account had been closed. I contacted them to let them know and their response was "We analyzed the information collected in our surveys and noticed some contradictions in the answers you provided in our surveys. These discrepancies affected the accuracy of our survey results. As a consequence, we deactivated your membership." I have know other people to have the same exact thing happen to them with the same response from the company. I have wasted hours and days taking surveys for them (and had about $50 if not more to cash out) just for them to take away the points I've earned and steal from me. Not very happy at all!!Desired Settlement: The amount of money I deserve for the amount of points I had.
