The concept of JustAnswer was a really good idea. I would still be using them in the future whenever the situation called for it, had it not been for one thing. In May 2018 I had a few questions that I needed answered urgently, and I paid for them, or so I thought. Fast forward to November 2018 when I, by chance, look at the back of my bank statement and see a charge of $29 for JustAnswer! I have not asked one question since May! This is not the behavior of a reputable business. Almost $200 I was duped out of. I always was very careful not to give out credit card info online, but I had heard of JustAnswer and was in, what I thought at the time, an emergency with my dogs, who had just had surgery. My point to all of this is to stop anyone else from having this happen. Not all of us out here can afford to throw away almost $200. There were many nights I could have used that money to be able to eat dinner. Please watch your account if you do decide to use JustAnswer; I definitely recommend staying as far away as possible!

I don't know why this scam would be getting good ratings. My husband signed up to ask one question which was around 14 dollars and didn't know he was automatically enrolled into a 60 dollar a month 'service'. A single question ended up costing him 100s of dollars in monthly fees as it went unnoticed. We called to ask for a refund and they didn't return the call. We filed a complaint with the bank and it conducted an investigation. The bank decided in our favor that it is a scam. Please save yourself this trouble and avoid this site.

I fell for scam. Was told would be charged $5 and got a withdrawal from my account for $34. Do not use this site. I also never received the answer I was looking for.

I posted a question one week ago (Oct 23, 2018). A veterinarian did not respond. After 2+ hours, a licensed technician answered. She was nice, but still, not a veterinarian.
Today I noticed the $29 charge after 7 days. I called to cancel and ask for the $29 to be reversed. The reason for cancelation is because I needed a veterinarian, not a technician. This service is not worth $360 a year. I would not have signed up if I knew the wait was over two hours. There is a button that will tell you how long the wait is. It does not work.
The rep I spoke to today was arguing with me and insisted I answer each of her questions. When I did, she rephrased the questions. after arguing, she offered a discount. I repeatedly told her I wanted to cancel and that I never was contacted by a veterinarian. She hung up on me! Another rep called me back and canceled the membership. I will not use this service and I will not recommend this service. Keep in mind, that my cat died and this woman is on the other end interrogating me.

From computers to a sick dog, I am very happy with Just Answer. A little pricey (monthly fee) but the time and money saved is priceless. I had the two cases that were vastly different and urgent. Both resolved, saving me time and money..
This is the second time I have used Just Answer and I have been very satisfied with this service and the help I received. I recommend them to anyone needing medical or legal advice. I will definitely use them again if needed.
This is a great service, we were having trouble with an appliance and finding a replacement part. JustAnswer saved us time and money and sleepless nights!
I had a problem with my tv and the technician I talked to on Just Answer I believe helped me make the right choice, which unfortunately was to replace it. Replacment would be cheaper than repairing the problem.
Had an exellent response that dealt with collections and with collections not having any proof of a bill and the answer given is very good advice.

Bird Specialist, was very thorough with a problem my 23-year-old African Grey was having. Advised me that it would be best to get him to Avian Vet asap for thorough check and treatment. My problem was a grandfather clock that would not chime. The consultant explained by e-mail how the mechanism works, and what to do to fix it. He recommended that the task was not something for an untrained clock owner to do personally. At my request, he sent me the names and contact info for a few factory-trained repairmen.
I was pleased with the quick answer and how it helped me to fix my problem.
Total Scam. They took my $5 and then two hours later, after I described my mac problem to "an expert", he 1) tried to upsell me a $39 service where he could remotely attach to my computer. When I denied that offer, his suggestions were to 1) try to save the file (that was the problem, it wouldn't save) and 2) (not making this up), to turn off the computer and turn it back on. While I was waiting for him to respond, I googled the answer and fixed the problem on my own. I have requested a refund and cancel my service. I'll let you know how that goes.
After a lifetime spent collecting old, beautiful, esoteric and interesting things, I need a trusted source help to set a fair value. JustAnswer experts respond in minutes with complete and accurate answers. Without their site, it would take hours/days to track down experts to get the information I need. What a bargain!!
