Very bad experience. I posted a question ,charged $5,and was forced to purchase a membership of $ 29.99 to get an answer with in 30 min, otherwise the doctor will contact me soon or with in 24 hours. I said before purchase any membership I want to know if I will be satisfied with the service. Approximately in 4 hours I got a message that the doctor assigned to my question will be contacting me soon. Next day I got same message ,but the doctors name was different .After 20 hours of waiting I called and ask my status. The person who answer the phone was very unfriendly and said that if I am not a member I can get an answer in a few days or who knows when. I was upset and said why you post on line 24 hours answer service, you should honestly say, that you do not know when somebody have a time to answer my question. I close my request for service and do not want to deal with this type of business and service anymore. Very bad company and service.

I was looking for answers to a hot water heater problem I was having. the JustAnswer site came up first and a chat window also popped up asking if they could help. I asked the question and was then notified that it a $5 deposit would be charged (refundable) but then that charge escalated, without notice to $43. I wasn't asked! It's very misleading!

We're sorry about the confusion that you experienced about the billing. I'll try to add some context to the experience that you had and hopefully resolve any outstanding concerns.
The $5.00 deposit is charged when customer's post questions to the site. This is done to make sure that the customer has the intent to pay for the Expert's time when they receive a reply, however, the remaining value of the question isn't charged until someone actually responds to you. This is why you saw the $38.00 charge, because an HVAC technician had responded to you.
The full value of the question is presented to each customer on the billing page prior to entering their billing information.
In looking into your account, it seems that you were able to process your own refunds from the Self help page and at this time the funds should be back in your account.

I like this way of getting some help when you need advice right away especially if you need a biased ear and a professional for a nominal cost!
My e-mail was not working. Comcast is my server and they messed it up even more. I called Microsoft and they patched me over to JustAnswer. The tech (***) went in and fixed it in a matter of minutes. He was very polite and explained things I didn't understand. The only complaint I have is I was not told up front what the cost would be until after the work was done. Fortunately the cost was reasonable. I will use them again and highly recommend them.
Answered a question about a guinea pig. Very satisfied. Eased my mind if I should take him to ER vet on a Sunday or Labor Day. Followed their suggestions and he is better today.
The father of my unborn grandchild is being difficult and making unreasonable demands.
The relationship between my daughter and him ended the day she told him she was pregnant. He told her to have an abortion. They are both in there 30's. This child was conceived due to an affair. The Father has a long term partner and child to her. We are appreciate the advice we received via this site and may seek more legal advice when child is born.
Our dog stepped on a hornet late one night and being unable to contact a Vet locally, I contacted one at JustAnswer and she gave me the answers I needed to not only get the dog through the night but, my Dad (91) as well. Thank you so much for being available for people like me.
I was having a problem w/ my computer and looking on the WEB I found just answer, I decided to try, they charged me $5.00 for the question and I agree. Then comes a "tech" that could not stay on line or even understand my issue, after that he tells- me that I would be transfer to someone else, . At the end nothing was done, since the other "tech" never showed up, I latter noticed that the$5.00 dollars were charged to my account, and I do understand that, but after that I was charged $48.00 and I do not know why, since my question was never answered, Yes, after that day I started getting e-mails telling me to go to their site and see an answer. which I never did because the deal was to get the answer when I went the first time, not days after. At the end, that is what they are, a Big Scam.

I was frustrated trying to attach my Roku account to a new TV, looking at everything that I could. I am in a small remote town. I then found a link to "just answer". I have to admit I was skeptical, but there was an instant response and a chat online back and forth, with some clear directions. I printed them out because I couldn't do it right then - the next day it worked!! SO Helpful - Thank you!
My problem has been solved in very efficient way. Good follow up and friendly staff.
Received input right away. I would have been happy for next day since it was late at night. Detailed and a good deal. Perfect, I copied it and have arranged it as reminders for ME and training for each dog. So very good. I have tried in-person trainers, but they do a lot of big and tall dogs. Mine are short with dwarf legs. So different approach. I certainly would contact this Trainer - Behaviorist again. Plus use this great service at a good low price. IMHO
The technician gave me very good answer but I think the cost is too high.
It was a great help to me to get an answer to a question I had about my daughter's water heater in an outdoor water closet in potential below freezing temp situation. Very grateful to have peace of mind and know how to help prevent freezing pipes in this situation.
The cost a little high and should be for one fee for anything. The mechanic was awesome asked the right questions and gave the best advice he could with the information he had. I would recommend to anyone looking for help.
I found *** from just answer to be very knowledgable and understanding of the difficulty I was having on my computer printer.
