My house is years old and my furnace was originally installed by Genz-RyanIn the night of Black Friday (Nov 25, 2016) my furnace motor stopped running as my friend tried to installed a programmable thermostat (NEST) without turning furnace power offI called Genz_Ryan next morning (Nov 26, 2016) and the technician came to inspect and he fixed it within minThe motor was blowing hot airAfter the easy fix, the technician explained that the motor might be stopped again anytime and recommended me to replace the whole thing by energy efficiency motor or equipmentHe suggested me that I could have saved tons of money by replacing motor by energy efficiency motor and filterHe gave me a price range for the replacement between $2,- $10,I asked him the price seems ridiculously highHe explained that it would take long time to replace the "Whole Thing" and the parts (Motor) is expensive oneHe promised to tell me the Motor/parts brand name if I were agreed upon his price

I had Chad *** from Genz-Ryan Plumbing & Heating Company, Inc come and take care of the leaking main water pipeHe gave an estimate before starting the job and took care of the issueHe successfully and satisfactorily completed the job in less than minutesI would always go back to Chad *** from Genz-Ryan PlumingOn the other hand, days before, I had another plummer (Bill) from *** came to take care of the jobHe wined and wined and said how difficult it is and charged the heavy amount and did not even do the jobNot only did he charge me but not complete the job as he said it's not fixableHe gave me another quote to replace and the cost was times what I paid to Genz-Ryan to do the sameI will never go back to ***, bad experience the first time

Nick M, Service Tech with Genz-Ryan was very professional, answered all my questions to my satisfaction He did find a problem with my furnace which he explained in detail He repaired the problem promptly

The service technician, Tom, was prompt, thorough, neat, and pleasant in carrying out his work

Matt Marrived on time and was friendly and easy to work with He made sure I was comfortable with the estimate for the work I chose to have done and did a great job I'd recommend him to my friends and family

Zach Bwas performing our scheduled furnace checkup today The furnace was fine, but, he found a leak on our 14yr old water heater That saved us a great deal of stress had we not agreed to replace it Since we are elderly folks we are plagued with allergies Zach also recommended we install an electric furnace filter We complained that we were having lots of dust particles in the air causing us breathing problems He was able to perform that work on the spot
We are extremely pleased with Zach's pleasant attitude and knowledge We would recommend his services to anyone GREAT JOB!!

Genz-Ryan Our furnace went out this am, and we called about 8am By 10am Richie Rimer was here and helping us out He was very professionalOur system is years old, so we knew it was going to happen sooner or later He gave us several options and was through going over each option He offered space heaters for the night and they'll be back in the morning with a new furnace and air conditioning unit Thanks for the fast and friendly service!

Jeff arrived right on the button and was very courteous and friendly job well done !

I had to call twice to get them to understand that I had water coming through the ceilingThe first woman who answered the phone had no clue so I called back the next day on a Saturday and had someone to the houseJoel did a great job finding the leak and fixing the leak

Today I had hired Genz-Ryan to come install a thermostat which I had already owned and to tuneup furnaceTune up of furnace was $and tech did a good jobI asked him how long to install thermostat and he said about but it might be expensiveHe called to talk to company rep and informed me it would be $I was shocked Then he called company again in the price was increased to $to install my Honeywell thermostatI called the customer service rep at Genz- Ryan to complain about the cost and they said that there was nothing they could do about the pricingI drove min to their Burnsville headquarters to speak with the customer service maganger I was upset that I had taken the day off to specifically have the thermostat installed in when they got to my house they informed me it was $ I was asked how you get $and minutes worth of work only explanation was there a premium company and stand behind their workI asked for a copy of the quote for $to install the thermostat and was declinedRepeatedly was told they do not do this A reputable company would give you a quote in writing and that would not indulge in price gouging Whole experience seems pretty unethical and I will never do business with them again
