Ryan ***, service technician for Genz-Ryan heating and plumbing checked the A.C and the furnace He seemed to do a very thorough job, was pleasant, and professional He explained the concerns that he had with our aging furnace He did not seem rushed at the end of the day Overall, did a good job

My AC broke down in my home, I called Genz Ryan to helpI was given an estimate of what is costs to fix itthe estimate was $My home Warranty was picking up roughly $of the cost and I would pay the differenceFirst issue was the quote I received from Genz-Ryan was just a total price, I had no idea what service or what parts and labor costs wereAll the paper gave me was a total priceI called this place over times to get an itemized billI needed to know what exactly I was paying forThe quote they gave me was VERY highI attempted to call them on several occasions and never received this informationI was told on the last call I made that we do not give itemized bills to our customers
They ordered the part, and I was told if it came in early, that they would come install it earlyThey received the part on June Nobody called me and told , they got it earlyThey came to install my AC parts on June After they tracked dirt and leaves throughout my house

My furnace had an unexpected issue this morning and was no longer heating airI called Genz-Ryan and they were able to send out a tech a couple hours later The tech, Mike B, was very professional and informative and despite my technical ignorance helped me understand what was going onMike quickly pointed out the item that was likely the issue and helped me understand my options, including potentially a new furnace to replace mine as its years old He walked through each of the options and did not pressure me into one or anotherI settled on fixing the components he called out in his inspection, and he was able to complete the work same day Now I have heat!

Ryan was very courteous - called in advance to let me know what time he would be at my home to restore my A/C service which went out over the weekend He was there exactly when he said he would be and did a wonderful job trouble-shooting and repairing the equipment

Mike B was very knowledgable and took the time to explain everything as many times as we needed to understand what needed to be done and what the options were to repair the problem and how we could correct other issues we were having Service techs came out within hours to replace parts!!!

As always Zach was extremely friendly an explained in detail with pictures what the problems were with my air conditioner Although it wasn't the best news he took the time to explain each option in detail This is why I love Genz-Ryan, and why they are my go to company for any furnace or air conditioning issues

Genz-Ryan is very professional and always provides optionsLet's face it people, no one wants to spend too much on repairs or replacing equipment, BUT if you have to these are the people to do itI am always provided with a couple of options - do nothing (if that is feasible), a short-term fix or replace the equipment if it is at the end of its life spanI am almost always able to get an appointment when I want the appointmentThey do keep me updated with phone calls and texts as to when the technician will be at my homeBoth my husband and I work full-time, so this makes it easier to plan our day if someone has to meet them at our house to let them inAlthough I have been know to give these guys my garage code and have them let themselves inThey are trustworthy! Ryan is the technician that visited yesterday - he's been to our house multiple times which is really niceIt's not often that you can say you develop a relationship with the repair people/trades people you useIt is always worth using professionals to have the job done correctly the first timeI am on one of their service plans ($10/month) and that gets me a free furnace and free air conditioning check each year plus I move to the head of the line for serviceI would highly recommend Genz-Ryan and all the people who work for them

Mike Salso looked at the insulation wrapped around the gas dryer vent tubeOnly the top portion of the tube is now insulated because the bottom portion was removed by Genz Ryan employees when they cleaned the duct two weeks priorAs the utility room is very cold in the winter, I thought the insulation should run the total length of the tubeMike Ssays the drawback is that the temperature gets very hot where the tube connects to the dryerAs the cement block walls are cold, he suggested installing rigid insulation board instead...so, I will look into that option

I had a technician from Genz Ryan that came to my home because of a blocked sewer issue The technician who was here told me that the sewer drain needs to be cleaned and some pressure work will need to be done to clean out the roots in the sewer line in He told me a price of $ I asked him to e-mail me a breakdown of the quotation and provided him with my e-mail address He or they, failed to send me the e-mail I called on Monday and spoke to "Deshae", that's what the person claimed their name was and informed her that I need a BREAKDOWN of the quotation She read the technician report and told me to clean the sewer will be $5500.00, apparently she doesn't know what the word "breakdown" means I asked her to give me a breakdown of the materials, labor, permits, fees, etcas to how the amount of $was reached She told me she will convey this to the technician and get back to me within hours She didn't I called Tuesday 6/21/at 4:p.mand "Deshae" an

Tom R of Genz-Ryan installed two new bathroom faucets with easier to access handle design, repaired a toilet, and installed a Halo ionizer device in our water line He was prompt, considerate, and very helpful explaining the various options that would address our needs and our budget constraints Installation of new equipment and toilet repair went smoothly and all work areas were cleaned up
