La Creme Skin Care Reviews (361)

Review: I tried a "Free Trial" through Bella Labs and received a "Free" product from La Creme Skin Care. I never authorized anything with this company, and had a withdrawal from my account for $87.63. When I called then, I was told it was part of the terms and conditons. I explained that I never purchased anything from them, however their product arrived the same day as the Bella Labs product. I was informed that I will not receive a refund and that was a gift for me to keep. I explained it is not a gift if you are charging me for it and I do not want it. I asked where to send it back to and was told I could keep it because no refund would be given.Desired Settlement: I would like the complete refund of $87.63

At La Creme every customer is given the right to try their first 30 day supply without charge for the first 14 days. After the 14 day trial period, if the customer is unsatisfied with their product, they are to return the remainder postmarked for return within their 14 day trial period and also contact customer service to notify a request for cancellation. If you were speaking to a sales representative, they would not be able to place an order without first reviewing the product, and your total purchase. Our representatives only contact customers who have previously shown interest in our products and try to assist you by adjusting the cost, however there is never a "free" bottle offered. Our terms state you must pay a shipping and handling fee of $4.95 for us to send you a full 30 day supply of La Creme. We ship the product the day after you place your order, every customer is given the right to try their first 30 day supply without charge for the first 14 days. After the 14 day trial period if the customer is unsatisfied with their product, they are to return the remainder postmarked for return within their 14 day trial period and also contact customer service to notify a request for cancellation. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after the 14 days, they are automatically billed for their product on the 15th day and then automatically shipped and billed a product every 30 days thereafter.Due to this order being placed by a representative, the customer was never billed $87.63, therefore she will not be refunded in that amount. As per the response provided in our email correspondence, the customer was only billed $47.33, a 46% discount. We have refunded this amount due to this complaint, however we stand by our policies and we would like to reiterate that our customers accept the terms and conditions two separate times to process their orders. We state the terms and conditions clearly, and send a synopsis attached to every package. Terms and conditions are located on all ordering websites, and should be read as they are there for a reason. Please refer to our website. https://lacremeskincare.com/ or http://https://lacremeskincare.com/main/index.php and below is a brief explanation of our terms and conditions.

Review: I signed up for their so-called '14 day free trial' . When I called to cancel they told me I was a day late with my cancellation even though I hadn't received the product until a week after I placed the order. They charged me for the full price of the product which was exorbitant. I spoke to customer service representatives who were very argumentative. Finally they agreed to return half the price of the product . They sell two products simultainiously but you have to contact each 'company' separately. I did not like the product although the packaging was nice. I believe they have a lousey product which they are trying to dump with a SCAMDesired Settlement: Full refund. They should also pay postage to return the product.Warning to others about their business practices.

Review: I ordered the 30 day supply trial for $4.95 on 4/8/2014. TWO weeks later my credit card was charged $87.63! I'd only had the product for 1 week - it took a week to arrive (I checked with UPS tracking).

This isn't enough time to try anything!

I called the company on 5/1/2014 - they refused to refund my money, and the representative just said over and over again - it's 14 days from the ORDER DATE - thats ridiculous, and certainly does not qualify as a 14 day trial!!!

This info is on a tiny card attached to the OUTSIDE of the package, along with the price and the fact that you're ordering a subscription - that certainly seems intentionally misleading.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the $87.63 charged to my credit card, and cancellation of my "subscription".

Since there was no notification of a request for cancellation and/or a returned product during the allotted trial period, the consumer was automatically billed for the 30 day supply on 4/22/14 as explained in the terms and conditions for which they agreed to. The consumer contacted our company on 5/1/14 with a request for cancellation. The account was canceled immediately as instructed and they were sent a confirmation email confirming the cancellation. Despite the fact that the consumer placed an order with our company, they have been refunded in full the charge of $87.63. The consumer will receive an e-mail confirmation of the cancellation and refund. The refund will take three to seven business days to credit back.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Review: This company advertises on [redacted]. It alleges that you are getting a "free" product (to remove wrinkles) with just a shipping charge. In extremely small type at the bottom of the page (hard to read for us with wrinkles) it states that if you don't send their product back in 14 days, you will be charged $87.23 for that "free" product. And to make it worse, they will send you the same product every month for another $87.23.My complaint is that this is a well-set-up scam. Personally I don't know people who would pay $87 for a small jar of cream, but I suppose they do exist. I can guarantee that the people who would pay that kind of money aren't the same ones who would respond to a "free" sample ad on [redacted].I just got off the phone with the company representative and the best that I could get out of her was that they would only charge me 50% for "my mistake".The e-mail address that I submitted for this company is not valid, btw. I couldn't find one and your site wouldn't allow me to enter it without one.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund, not just half. The product is not what they say, and I feel that I was taken in by their scam in advertising. I could have swallowed the shipping charges for the product, but I'll be darned if I want to pay $43.00 apiece for two jars of their product (at half-price even). [There were two separate products advertised in the one ad. One was La Creme Anti-wrinkle cream and the other was Bellalabs Face Cream which is perfumed and awful.]

Mrs. [redacted] placed her order on 8/9/13 this is when she payed the initial $4.95 and this began her 14 day trial period to sample from her initial 30 day supply. Since there was no notification of a request for cancellation and/or a returned product during her allotted trial period, Mrs. [redacted] was automatically billed for her 30 day supply on 8/24/13 as explained to her in the terms and conditions for which she agreed to. Her second bottle was automatically shipped and billed out to her 30 days later on 9/23/13. Mrs. [redacted] contacted our company on 9/26/13 with a request for cancellation. Her account was canceled as instructed and she was sent a confirmation email confirming the cancellation. Based on the nature of the call, the customer service agent refunded both September charges (La Creme and BellaLabs) of $87.63 each on that same day, as well as $44.00 on each August charge for both products. We have also refunded Mrs. [redacted]'s account for the remainder of the August charges, as we value customer satisfaction. Although, Mrs. [redacted] ordered our product, she has been refunded fully in the amount of $350.52.

And I thank the Revdex.com for eliciting this further refund from Bellalabs and La Creme! When I talked to them (repeatedly) they would only refund partially and not entirely. I feel much better about them now and am very impressed with the power of the Revdex.com in San Diego! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Regards,

So happy to see that I wasn't the only one sucked into this ! As another "customer" mentioned , I too cannot recall being prompted to inform myself about the "free" offer . To add insult to injury, the gent informed me that I was dealing with 2 different companies so that was more time on the line. I am going to contact Albany & see if there are any "pit bull" type lawyers up there looking for work, weeding out companies that take advantage of normal folks !

Review: The product was supposed to be for a trial offer of $4.95, the customer paid for the shipping of the product. The product is supposed to reduce wrinkles and it does not work, I do not have any signs of improvement. The company charged my charge card in the amount of $87.63 on 3/10/2015 as a reoccurring charge that I was not aware of. After, conversing with the customer service rep, he offered to reduce the charge in half to $43.82. I informed him at that time that I am disputing the charge with my credit card and he rescinded the offer. I was not interested in receiving half a refund. I offered to send the product back in order to receive a refund and they do not have an interest.Desired Settlement: To be refunded $87.63

Regards,

I'm not unhappy with the product itself, but it is the company I am PO'd at.

Ordered their product, trial size $4.95 shipping, seems to work(?).

Today, 10.25.14, I am looking at my bank accounts and find a charge of $87.63 on there!

I called the company, waited about eight minutes to speak to someone, and was told I did not cancel my order within 14 days.

Told the CSR I *never* saw that on the forms on the web site. Also told her, "This is a freaking RIP-OFF!"

They did consent to 'refund' 25% of my money and cancelled any further shipments.

I said to the CSR, "Your company needs to make this cancellation statement more prominent on the web site so it can be easily seen."

She had nothing to say to my statement.

I am NOT happy with this outfit...At all!

Review: Took part in a "free trial" survey and gave debit card information for the shipping and handling. Before the trial ended my card was charged two times, once for $90.70 from LaCremeSkin and another charge for $87.63 from Bellalabs. When I called in to complain and understand the charges I was only told that "the fine print clearly states that I had to cancel within 14 days". There was no attempt at resolution or to cancel any further shipments. Definitely something shady going on with this company when they admit that you have to read the fine print and charged my card twice for the same crappy face cream.Desired Settlement: To cancel any future activity from this company/ies and to get a refund. We will gladly return the product, at $90 for 1.05 ounces of this face cream (that neither my wife or I liked), combined with very suspect business practices I will never do business with either organization again.

Review: I responded to an offer made by La Creme Skin Care to try their product. I discovered, after several times using this item, my skin tingled and felt hot. At this point, I should've contacted this company but did not. I finally contacted the company via email. They pointed out that I didn't contact them within a certain time period and therefore I couldn't be reimbursed. I attempted a call tthis company but didn't receive a response. I accepted the fact I was not going to receive any money back. I'm now stuck with creams I can't use and still packaged. Yesterday, I received yet another package!!!!! I emailed again, that I DO NOT WANT THEIR PRODUCT. I do not want to pay for an item I can't use and I don't appreciate being ignored.

Review: I filled out a survey which appeared to be from my credit union [redacted]) and in return they were to give me some free skin care lotion. To the best of my knowledge I never did give out my credit card information. My wife was getting the jars so I was unaware that I have been getting a jar skin cream every month for which I was being charged. When I looking into the matter redwood credit union said they never give reward for these kinds of surveys.

This survey was a fishing tactic to get my personal information for the purposes of selling me a product that I did not want without my knowledge. These practices should be illegal in my opinion!Desired Settlement: How did they gain my credit card information? Was the authorization in the fine print? I would like them to produce a copy of this survey. At this point I think it is bordering on the illegal.

Review: Ordered online from company I thought was [redacted] but was actually La Creme Skin Care, [redacted]San Diego, CA 92122 ###-###-####.

Product was advertised for the cost of shipping and handling of $4.65 (1 month supply). I did not see any mention of having to cancel order within 14 days or be charged $87.63 within 14 days. I ordered on June 3, 2014 and was charged $87.63 on June 20, 2014. When I noticed the charge of $87.63 I should have contacted the company but did not realize this would be a re-occurring charge every month. They attempted to charge me account again on June 18, 2014 but it was rejected.

When I contacted Le Cr¨me and spoke with [redacted] at ###-###-#### she stated they would cancel all further business with me and not charge me from here on out. I believe they practiced bait and switch because I did not notice the small card with small print in the package I received about being charged $87.63 every month from then on.

I feel they should be required to stated next to the price that you will be charged $87.63 after 14 days if you do not cancel and not on a small card with small print that can be overlooked by any consumer.Desired Settlement: Because of their deceptive advertising they should be required to refund me in full, $87.63, and be penalized or fined for this practice. I can return the product I currently have if required.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.

I reject this response from Le Crème because when I placed my order, I did not see any mention of being charged the full amount after 14 days (the print may have been so small that I did not see it).

As of today's date, I have only received one(1) shipment from this company and that was from the initial order which should have only cost me $4.95; yet they have tried to charge my account three (3) different times. When I placed my original order, I did not see any mention of being charged the full amount if I did not cancel after 14 days. I never participate in promotions that require you to cancel within a certain amount of time or risk being charged every month from them on. If you could see the history of my bank account you would see that I never get involved with companies that practice these deceptive tactics. If there were conditions tied to ordering from a company like this, I feel the print should be next to the SUBMIT box and not some small print that could easily be overlooked.

Response:

At La Creme every customer is given the right to try their first 30 day supply without charge for the first 14 days. After the 14 day trial period, if the customer is unsatisfied with their product, they are to return the remainder postmarked for return within their 14 day trial period and also contact customer service to notify a request for cancellation. The 14 days are from the original order date as we explain in the terms and conditions the customer agrees to when originally placing the order. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after the 14 days, they are automatically billed for their product on the 15th day and then automatically shipped and billed a product every 30 days thereafter. The customer has the ability to cancel at anytime by calling customer service or emailing [email protected]. If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on [redacted], the product, the pamphlet, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on [redacted] where the customer would have ordered their product. The customer has to also click "I agree to the terms and conditions" twice before the order is processed. If the customer does not "agree" to the terms, the order will not process. The terms and conditions are disclosed directly on the ordering website not only on the bottom of the first page, but also highlighted in a large white box on the second page where the customer inputs their card information as well as sent out with the product.

We have refunded the remainder of the amount prior to this complaint, however we stand by our policies and we would like to reiterate that our customers accept the terms and conditions two separate times to process their orders.

Review: A few weeks ago, I was contacted by a telesales person for this company who offered a product for shipping and handling of product. I asked specifically if I would have to pay any additional fee's or if I would have to send the product back at the end of the trial, She told me NO. I repeatedly asked these questions and the sales person insisted that if I didn't want to continue the product I only needed to cancel the product and that would be the end of it. After trying the product, I found it to be waxy leaving crusty wax on your face. I called to cancel it. I was argued with, called a liar, told that I had to send the product back or they were going to charge my acct. I asked for a return shipping label and was told no, that I had to pay it out of my pocket. After, I had been reassured repeatedly that this was not the case by the original sales person. This company not only has a truly horrible product but they are ethically wrong. I would not advise anyone to ever do business with them. EVER! If the sales person had been honest then I could have made a more educated decision on trying the product, when I called they absolutely refuse to do anything other than speak to the salesperson. Now, I am out shipping and handling again not to mention having to go to the post office and wait in line to ship this product out.Desired Settlement: I would like a shipping and handling cost refunded since their sales person lied in the first place about having to send the product back.

Review: I have been my disabled wife's caregiver for about 10 years. Her battle with Alzheimer's is further exacerbated by a skin condition, Rosacea, which turns her face completely red and hot. I responded to La Creme's online offer in order to try treating my wife's Rosacea, hoping that it might help her.

The "Trial" offer was on https://www.lacremeskincare.com for “only” $3.95, shipping charges. We could try their cream "Satisfaction Guaranteed" or money back. I placed my order on 1/14/2015 and was almost immediately billed for the $3.95 shipping fee (I have ALERTS on my VISA Card). The shipment arrived on 1/20/2015, at 11:21 AM. Due to caregiver activities, I did not even open the UPS package until 1/26/2015, and still did not even get a chance to try it. On 1/29/2015, I noticed that a charge was placed on my credit card for $87.63. I immediately contacted the company, and was put on HOLD, and then allowed to leave a message, which I did, including my cellphone number. No reply, so I tried calling again 3 hours later. Same scenario, so I left a second message, and I am still waiting.... Tried calling again, for the third time, on 1/30/2015....same scenario, so I left a third message.

Finally, I have had enough....no response to my three messages, so I will be logging this complaint with the Revdex.com. I am extremely displeased with the whole issue, and ask for a complete refund. I will pay the shipping charges to return the product. I have no intention of subscribing to their monthly skin care deliveries, especially since I now know what kind of business activities/policies they practice. It is impossible to do a “TRIAL” within their guidelines...14-day window is a joke. How can anyone do a “TRIAL” when you don't even have their product in hand. So, in other words, the "trial" period started when I didn't even have the product to "try". How is this even legal?Desired Settlement: Desired Settlement: Full product refund. Remove my name, address, and credit card number from their database immediately. For the future, require them to change their return policy. They cannot call their offer a "trial" if there is no real window to "try" the product. It's a skin cream, not a miracle cream. Having less than 2 full weeks to try a product should not be allowed and they should never be allowed to consider the time of order plus shipping time as part of the the "trial" period. I can't imagine this is legal. It's only a matter of time until businesses like this face a class action lawsuit. Furthermore, their own documentation states “that most customers don't see any improvement until a 3-month “trial” period has elapsed”.... DUH!!!!

Review: I saw an advertisement on Facebook for a 30 day supply of the skin cream for $4.95 shipping and handling. When I received the product there was a Terms & Condiitons on the phamplet which states it is a 14-day trial and if I don't return it in 14 days I will be billed $87.63 for the cream and every 30 days I will be shipped another 30 day supply and billed $87.63. The only reason I did it is because no where on there did it say it was just a trial.False Advertising!Desired Settlement: $4.95 shipping and handling and the $4.95 shipping and handling to return it.

Review: I received the product my face reacted to it. The terms say that to cancel just send back the automatic shipment and my money will be refunded. It never said that I had to return the trial creme. When I called to get a refund I was told that they would not give me a refund. I would like a refund for the charge that was on my statement from April quote 2015.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for all of the charges.

Since there was no notification of a request for cancellation and/or a returned product during the allotted time, the customer was automatically billed for the 30 day supply on 4/19/15 as explained in the terms and conditions which they agreed to. The consumer was billed and shipped their next 30 day supply on 5/19/15. The consumer contacted La Crème Skin Care on 5/27/15 with a request for cancellation. The account was cancelled immediately as instructed and the customer was sent a cancellation confirmation via email. Based on the nature of the call, the customer service agent refunded the amount of $87.63 that day. Once a refund is processed, it takes 3-7 business days for it to be credited back to the customer’s account.

Review: I ordered a trial of the creme and no where was it displayed that it was a 14-day trial from the date of order. I was subsequently charged $87 on day 15, and the company was unwilling to work with me regarding refunding the product. I told them the product was unopened and unused and they still refused to let me return it. This company is completely unethical. Nor did I receive an email or any other correspondence indicating when my product was ordered and when the "free" trial began.Desired Settlement: I would like the opportunity to return my product and receive a full refund.

Review: I ordered a facial Creme with Bella Labs and the agreement was I could order the product as I wished without getting the shipments every 30 days. "They" have honored that agreement. The next day I received a phone call from a gentleman representing La Creme and he agreed to send the night Creme for $1.99 and that I would not receive additional orders automatically. Today that proved to be false. Obviously he was less than honest in his representation. I repeatedly covered the terms with him and he assured me each time that I would not receive another order without requesting it. I have read other complaints with similar issues. Apparently the sales representatives use false promises, and/or tactics to sell this product. I am not forced to go through measures and the cost of returning the product I should not have received I the first place and wait for a refund to my credit card. Due to this, I can't trust this company and will not be ordering this product again. I believe the salesman called me from a cell phone... That concerned me at the time and should have been my clue something was amiss.Desired Settlement: I would like my credit card credited and the original promise of no repeat shipments honored. I do not wish to do business with this company after being misled by their salesman's untruthful sales pitch and practices.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

This is a generic response to my complaint. I did not say I was suppose to receive a "free" bottle. I did however expect to be charged as promised the $1.99 to try the product. I was very clear with the salesman that I DID not want auto shipments of this product. I did not contact La Creme or show interest in this product. I was called after ordering a product from Bella Labs. I was promised no auto shipments from Bella Labs and that is exactly what I got.

The Customer Service Rep that called me in reference to my original complaint was incredibly demeaning, antagonistic, and insulted me on more than one level. She insinuated she was doing me a favor by refunding me half of the amount I was charged and then explained to me I had a dead line for the postmark on the returned bottle because there are no "free" bottles. I refused the shipment when delivered an told her it was on it's way back to her to which she replied " you were not authorized to return the product." WHAT?!? I have never been talked to like a child or an it in my adult life until now.

I am the consumer, and I was told one thing and delivered another then treated as if it were my fault and told I did agree to the terms when I did not. Why I would be okay with auto shipments on one product and not another defies logic and common sense. Basically they got the money and found a way to hold on to part of it. In lay terms, that's a scam.

Review: Last month I opted to do a free offer online for La Crème Skin Care . During that offer a free gift was given. I was under the understanding that I only would be charged 3 dollars and some change for shipping of both products. I paid the shipping with my bank card. After several weeks the two face lotions arrived and about four days later I found that my account was charged $87. Dollars twice back to back. I called my bank and was advised that it was from La Crème Skin Care . I contacted

La Crème Skin Care only to be told it was a 14 day offer and that I was outside the 14 day return policy. I explained that I was not aware of such policy. Albert the representative told me that the 14 days started when the order was placed and had expited. I told him that I would retrieve the items from my girlfriend and return them. According to albert that was not possible not that the 14 days had expired. After much effort albert did refund almost 50 % of the money. I explained to him that the company took money without my consent because I did not see anywhere writen about the 14 day trial or that it started at the time of purchess. I asked albert for a phone number to their corporate office, Albert refused to give me the number and told me he was a Sr. Manager and corporate could not help me with any issues I may have.. I am very displeased with the customer service here and really displeased with this companies advertising. I belive their advertising is fraudulent or boarderline fraudulent and I belive Consumers are being ripped off.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of my money.

Review: On April 23, 2014 I came across an advertisement on the internet claiming that their cream when combined with another cream from a second company (BEAUTEMDOF) had amazing results in practically eliminating face wrinkles. The ad featured multiple pages of individual testimonials that supported these amazing results. The offer was for a 14 day trial for $4.95 and a full refund if the cream was returned within 14 days. Using the order form within that ad I placed an order.

On April 23, 2014 I also received an email confirming my order for the sum of $4.95. That email made no mention of an "agreement" with them to bill me for $87.63 and no mention of an "ongoing agreement" to be billed for such amount "monthly". The email contained nothing to inform me of any such agreement and did not include any options that I had to cancel any such "agreement".

Today I noticed that there were two separate charges on my Visa card for $87.63 each, one on 5/10/14 and the other on 6/9/14. I then called LaCremeSkinCare (@ ###-###-####) and I spoke with an agent and subsequently with a supervisor. They both claimed that their terms were presented to me at the time that I placed my order and they refused to issue a refund.

When I told them that I was not presented any such information during my sample order placement they simply repeated their claim that I was.

For your information I hold two degrees in computer sciences and I have extensive computer and internet knowledge and experience. I would have never placed an order under these terms. In fact I read their offer multiple times just to make sure that I was not being scammed. There were no such terms presented to me at any time.

LaCremeSkinCare claims that their web site clearly states these terms. However, I was never directed to their web site when I placed my sample order using their internet very lengthy ad. This is clearly a scam in my opinion.

As for the effectiveness of their amazing crème all I can say is that it does absolutely nothing to reduce let alone eliminate wrinkles. The ad is extremely misleading and their claims are totally false.

Every legitimate company that I dealt with during all of my internet orders promptly sent a confirmation email stating what I agreed to and how I could go about to cancel the agreement.

LaCremeSkinCare failed to do so. The only email they sent was to inform me of the original charge fpr $4.95. Nothing more. Subsequently they made illegal charges on my Visa card without informing me. And finally they are refusing to issue a refund.

They need to be stopped from doing business in this fashion.Desired Settlement: I hope that you can help me recover the two charges of $87.63 each for a total of $175.26

Also to stop them from making any further charges.

Thank you very much.

If a customer needs to contact customer service, the phone number is listed on lacremeskincare.com, the product, the pamphlet, and the package the product is shipped in. The terms are disclosed clearly on lacremeskincare.com where the customer would have ordered their product. The consumer placed the order on 4/23/14. This is when they paid the initial $4.95 and this began the 14 day trial period to sample from the initial 30 day supply. Since there was no notification of a request for cancellation and/or a returned product during the allotted trial period, the consumer was automatically billed for the 30 day supply on 5/8/14 as explained in the terms and conditions for which they agreed to. Thirty days thereafter, the consumer was billed $87.63 as part of the monthly membership on 6/7/14 and issued another bottle. The consumer contacted our company on 6/10/14 with a request for cancellation. The account was canceled immediately as instructed and they were sent a confirmation email confirming the cancellation. As we value customer satisfaction, we have refunded both charges of $87.63. The consumer's account will be refunded in total, $175.26 within 3-7 business days.

Response:

At La Creme every customer is given the right to try their first 30 day supply without charge for the first 14 days. After the 14 day trial period, if the customer is unsatisfied with their product, they are to return the remainder postmarked for return within their 14 day trial period and also contact customer service to notify a request for cancellation. If the customer keeps their 30 day supply after the 14 days, they are automatically billed for their product on the 15th day and then automatically shipped and billed a product every 30 days thereafter. The customer has not been billed anything more than the $4.95 shipping fee. We have closed your account and noted that you are returning the product. Please return the product to La Creme Skin Care [redacted], San Diego, CA 92122 and ensure your name is on the outside packaging.
