There are no messages to support regarding this and the customer talked with the contractor days ago and resolved this problem with them so I do not understand why there is a Revdex.com complaint now? Conversation between customer and contractor is below Was this Revdex.com complaint filed a week ago, before the conversation below, and LawnMowingOnline is just now hearing about it? Also the customer never marked the order as having a problem or needing a refund which is why it further seems like this Revdex.com complaint was filed before the conversation below because if it was not resolved and the customer needed a refund they could have marked the job as having a Problem and requested a refund at that time Attached are photos of the lawn and a screenshot showing where the customer would have marked the order as having a problem. It sure does, just send us a message per your preferenceThank you, -***Posted By: [redacted] [2016-05-04:14:55]Sure, hope it makes it through for now though.Posted By: [redacted] [2016-05-03:41:19]No problem, if ever I take your account again I'll adjust closer to If you don't get me again just send a quick mesage to us, we will change our deck settings per your request Posted By: [redacted] [2016-05-03:32:18]Appreciate the quick response ***I understand where you are coming from but if cut too much it would cause shock to the grassAnd I am not exaggerating, for the good part, other than clippings greenary, I do not see much grassUnless its too hard to adjust the height, to save grass from shock, it would help to adjust accordingly.Posted By: [redacted] [2016-05-03:13:35]I cut the lawn at 2.35inches I just measured my blades yesterday when I installed a new setIt will definitely grow back, as this is the setting I use on most all of my clients(unless otherwise specified.) I think I did a good job and will submit the photos later todayIf you would like your grass length to be cut at a certain height you have to inform us when before cuttingEveryone has their own preference (extra short or taller)In the service order it says up to 3", most people cut between 2.25" and 3"Thank you, -***Posted By: [redacted] [2016-05-02:59:43]***, my lawn is cut this morning and it is devastatingIt is cut so low it looks all brown and redIt literally looks like scrapedHope it comes back up, else I have reseed the whole yardThis is not acceptable and I cant pay for this poor job.Posted By: [redacted] [2016-05-02:38:20]

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/11/10) */ A little explanation about how LawnMowingOnline.com operates is necessary to explain this situationNo one employed by LawnMowingOnline.com mows lawnsWe provide a online marketplace between people seeking lawn mowing services and those that provide lawn mowing servicesThis is similar to the way that eBay does not sell cars or items, but individuals go to eBay to sell their car or items, since eBay is a also online marketplacePeople that provide lawn mowing services sign up on LawnMowingOnline.comWhen someone seeking mowing services places an order, the order is sent to people providing mowing services in that areaThis is made very clear to customers before ordering, that the service is provided by individuals in their area, not by LawnMowingOnline.com employeesSomeone, not a employee of LawnMowingOnline.com, takes the order, provides the service, and the customer confirms the service was provided and requests payment to be releasedWe do not pay contractors to mow lawnsThe customers decide if the service was done and if they should be paidIf a customer says a lawn was not mowed, they are given a full refund, no matter what the contractor says, because LawnMowingOnline.com does not decide if the service was providedIn this case, a contractor took the order, exchanged phone numbers with the customer online through messages on LawnMowingOnline.com, provided the service and uploaded photosThe customer then logged in, reviewed the photos, and thanked the contractor in the messagesThe customer was asked "Was the order finished and are you satisfied with the work provided? After you select YES and click "Report Status" the contractor will be automatically paid and there is no way to request the contractor to return if there is a problem or request a refund." The customer proceeded to mark the checkbox labeled "Yes I am satisfied the order was finished, I will not request a refund, please pay the contractor" and clicked "Report Status" to confirmAt that time the payment was released to the contractor in our system, because the customer requested the contractor be paidAs it says, there is no way to request a refund after this, because payment has already been released to the contractorIf the customer feels they are due a refund, this customer has the contractor's phone numberIf the contractor does not cooperate, the customer can contact support and request the contractor's name and address so they may sue for a refundBut LawnMowingOnline.com does not have a refund to provide since the payment was released to the contractor at the customer's request

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: the address to be mowed was [redacted] in riverview mo here is my receipt and they lawn that was to be mowed was [redacted] riverview Mo Sincerely, [redacted]

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/06/24) */ Customer was lying about the size of the property on at least orders, putting it was less than 15,sq ft or less than 10,sq ft when the total property size was 19,sq ftCustomer did this on purpose, when they put the address in the order page it automatically selected the right size but they went back and chose a smaller size just so they could steal from the contractorsContractor reported them and customer was ban from the websiteWhen Support sent the customer a message asking why they purposely chose the wrong size, the customer's response was it was the contractor's fault for accepting the previous orders and mowing the property even though the size was wrong$is extremely cheap for lawn mowing, but the only way we can offer such low rates is if customers are honest about their property size and not trying to cheat the contractorsIf a customer continues to lie and cheat the contractors they will feel as if they are underpaid and will quit the websiteThat's why this customer has been ban from the website, we can not risk them ordering againAny payment still owed to the customer will be dispersed to the previous contractors that the customer did not fairly compensate for mowing the property

From Support FAQ on LawnMowingOnline: http://www.lawnmowingonline.com/faqs.php#Q I placed a order and quickly cancelled and was charged a $fee, what was the fee for? A: Cancellation fees are very common in service industry type businessesDoctors, dentists, hair salons, moving companies and many other businesses charge fees if a appointment is cancelled within a certain time frame of when the service is being providedSo we adopted the same polices that those businesses doIf a person schedules services and cancels within business days of the order being placed LawnMowingOnline reserves the right to charge a $feeThe policy has worked exactly as expected, more orders are getting accepted and mowed and fewer orders are being cancelledAvoiding this fee is simple, just do not cancel within business days of scheduling serviceFor example, if you order May 1st for mowing on May 2nd, do not cancel on May 1st, May 2nd (day) or May 3rd (days)The order can be cancelled on May 4th (days since May 1st) and there will be no feeOf course by then the order will likely be accepted by a contractor and already mowed so there would no longer be any reason to cancel To make sure every customer knows about the cancellation fee it is listed in placesIt is listed on the Terms of Service page that all customers read and agree to before placing an order and the cancellation fee is explained in bold text and underlined on the cancellation page that all customers must fill out to cancel an order

Complaint [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I tried over plenty of steps to get my refund before I contacted Revdex.com I went threw onlinemowing website then I went threw paypal then after no results from the business I went threw a Revdex.com I will post a the day I order the service and the yesterday I finally got my refund in my bank to show how long it took for them to sit on my money like I was going to forget it had me waiting a month to get my grass cut until I said enuff us enuff Sincerely, [redacted]

the system is automated, if it charged a fee then they cancelled within days or less.http:// [redacted] I placed a order and quickly canceled and was charged a $fee, what was the fee for?Cancellation fees are very common in service industry type businessesDoctors, dentists, hair salons, moving companies and many other businesses charge fees if a appointment is canceled within a certain time frame of when the service is being providedSo we adopted the same polices that those businesses doIf a person schedules services and cancels within business days of the order being placed LawnMowingOnline reserves the right to charge a $feeThe policy has worked exactly as expected, more orders are getting accepted and mowed and fewer orders are being cancelledAvoiding this fee is simple, just do not cancel within business days of scheduling serviceFor example, if you order May 1st for mowing on May 2nd, do not cancel on May 1st, May 2nd (day) or May 3rd (days)The order can be cancelled on May 4th (days since May 1st) and there will be no feeOf course by then the order will likely be accepted by a contractor and already mowed so there would no longer be any reason to cancel. To make sure every customer knows about the cancellation fee it is listed in placesIt is listed on the Terms of Service page that all customers agree to before placing an order and the cancellation fee is explained in bold text and underlined on the cancellation page that all customers must fill out to cancel an order

Sorry to hear the contractor did not reply to your complaints The contractor's access was limited after your complaint so they could not take new jobs but they could still reply to your complaint Since they never resolved this, their access remains limited, so they can no longer take orders on the website The only complaint LawnMowingOnline received from you was May 14th At that time the customer and contractor were sending messages through the website to resolve the situation so there was no action to be taken by LawnMowingOnline Now months later we have received a Revdex.com complaint If the contractor was unwilling to resolve this in May, another message to support should have been sent in May so support could take action As you have stated, the contractors are not employees or contractors of LawnMowingOnline, they are separate entities, in the same way a ebay seller is not a employee of ebay, so LawnMowingOnline is limited by what we can do We can not "force" the mowing contractors to provide good service, all we can do is remove them from the website Since our payment processor does not allow refunds past days your order would have to be reposted Contact support if you would like your order to be reposted for a future date Payment was never released to the previous contractor since he did not resolve this situation so there would be no charge for the new order Thank you

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/07/09) */ With the two orders being placed for the same mowing date there was a bit of confusion on our part since it appeared as if the lawn had been mowed and payment had been released to the contractor before any complaint was filedFull $ refund has been sent for the order that was not completed

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/07/17) */ Customer ordered on June 27th and cancelled on June 29th, so the customer agreed to a $fee being charged From Support FAQ on LawnMowingOnline: "I placed a order and quickly cancelled and was charged a $fee, what was the fee for?" Professionalism on a budget At the prices they charge for their services, none of the lawn mowing services companies can match upI do recommend anyone to try

Dishonest, Extremely Rude, and CriminalStay away! I've used this service on & off for about years, and in all that time I never had a problem, until last week when I tried to cancel an order for the first timeThat's when the true colors of the owners and/or operators of this company came outIf you scan through the reviews of this company online, you’ll notice that most reviews are highly positive while a smaller but still significant number are very negativeThe reason for this is that the vast majority of customers never have to deal directly with the company, only the contractorsOnce they try to cancel an order or something else that requires contacting the site management, that’s when the terrible customer service experience begins, as I discovered personallyI had requested a mowing job on Tuesday, Sept 6th, but no one accepted the job, and then on Friday I requested a cancellationThe website in general is very poorly designed and hard to navigate, but the cancellation link is especially hard to find, more likely by design than through incompetenceI received a message saying it would take hours to process my cancellation and that in the meantime the order might be reopened and accepted by a contractor, a tactic that seems to be designed to dissuade the customer from proceeding with the cancellation since it becomes much more difficult to get a cancellation once the order is acceptedThe day after I cancelled the order, this is exactly what happened, and I messaged the contractor to ask him not to mow my lawn and he complieddays later I still had not received a refund or even a message telling me that my cancellation was being processed so I contacted the website to ask about itI was told that the only way the contractor would get paid was if I dropped my cancellation request, even though the contractor had never actually mowed my lawnI got in contact with the contractor and he told me that the website administrators were withholding payment for some of his recently finished jobs as well as all future jobs until I resolved the issue with the website (which meant dropping my cancellation request)I then contacted the website and asked why they were holding the contractor's payment hostage in order to pressure me to drop my cancellation requestThe person who responded (it said Lawnmowingonline support, but I suspect it was the owner/operator of the site) told me " [redacted] you and the contractor, both of you get off my website." I was so shocked that a business could be this unprofessional that I took some screenshots of the exchange in case anyone didn't believe meAfter this message, I received an email from PayPal indicating that my refund was being processed (along with a message from lawnmowingonline.com telling me I was permanently banned from using their site), but after that I received a text from the contractor saying they were still withholding payment and that I needed to add a message saying that the matter was resolved and include my address in order for him to finally get paid for his other jobs, which I didThe fact that the website tried to play us off each other is unprofessional and sleazy behavior to say the leastI actually first posted reviews of this company online last weekA few hours after they went live, someone from the site posted ridiculous responses blaming the poor contractor for my negative experience, even though that clearly didn’t jive with the reality of what actually happened which I described in my reviewsThen the contractor sent me a screenshot of some messages he exchanged with the website (attached) in which they refused to pay him for four jobs ordered by completely different customers (none of them me) until he got me to change my negative review to a positive oneIn order to help the contractor get paid for his hard work, I deleted the reviewsThree days later, I contacted the contractor to see if he’d received his money, and he said that not only has he not, but the company is now completely ignoring himThis company is engaging in criminal activityLast time I checked, it’s illegal to withhold payment for services rendered, no matter how small the amountIf the contractor wanted to, he could successfully sue this company for breach of contract, but because the amount of money in dispute is relatively small, the company owner knows it wouldn’t be worth the time and effort of a lawsuit, which is why he’s behaving in so brazen a mannerNeedless to say, this company is not worthy of anyone's businessThey have many competitors and I highly suggest you stay away from this amateurish operation run by some people with very, very low characterIf this were a just world, then their pathetic website, terrible customer service, and predatory (and illegal!) behavior towards contractors and customers would get them shut down permanently

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I have sent several emails both via the website and also directly to [redacted] @lawnmowingonline.zendesk.com I have also asked the contractors to refund and got no reply Sincerely, [redacted]

When a customer cancels, the contractor that took the job may have their access to take new jobs limited and their assets due from previous jobs frozen so they are not paid for any jobs they have recently finished Reason is when customers start cancelling and complaining it usually means the contractor isn't doing what he's suppose to be doing and those other orders he says he finished usually end up being more complaints and cancellations, sometimes weeks later This is a very common practice all online merchants that process credit cards are faced with, that their accounts may be frozen if too many of their customers cancel their credit card payments for whatever reason This is a very common practice all online merchants that process credit cards are faced with, that their accounts may be frozen if too many of their customers cancel their credit card payments for whatever reason, even payments from other customers that have not complained are frozen. While their access is limited they can still send you messages and you can send them messages Please work out this situation with the contractor so they may resume work and have their account unfrozen Contractors rely on those payments Perhaps talk with them and pick a new mowing date in the future I'm sure your lawn will grow back in a few days and you will need mowing again Thank you

Grass was 12-24" Order said up to 3" Grass not cut, contractor messaged customer for compensation Customer refused compensation Contractor uploaded photos and order cancelled with refund minus $trip fee for long grass in accordance with website long grass policy Photos are attached"If we arrive and the grass is significantly longer than described (more than a few inches) the mower may or may not mow the property depending on the length If we do mow, we'll send you an email requesting the unpaid portion If we don't mow, we'll offer to mow for the correct price or a refund minus a $trip fee which is used to pay the mower for his gas and time to drive out to the property that he could not mow Either way we'll include photos proving the length of the grass."http://lawnmowingonline.com/whatabout-longgrass.php

According to the customer's own admission, they were attempting to defraud our company by working out a side deal with the contractor by canceling with us and paying them in cash That is not appropriate and I will not assist the customer in scamming our company

I am sorry to hear the customer is not satisfied As I said in the previous message to the customer, the order was reposted for August 4th On August 4th a contractor mowed the lawn and uploaded photos that the customer can view online The contractor sent several messages to the customer asking how to access the backyard since there was a lock on the fence Customer never replied Contractor only mowed the front yard and provided before and after photos to the customer As of today, August 10th, customer has not sent a message to the contractor indicating there was any problem with the mowing or asked them to return to mow the backyard If the customer feels the service is not satisfactory, please login and let the contractor know you are not happy with the service and will not be paying them, and contact support requesting a new contractor Since the original order was placed over months ago it is too late to send a refund but we can repost the job for a new contractor to accept Photos provided by the contractor are attached Thank you

There have not been any orders for Brittany Town Place If the customer has a order it is very easy to cancel Just go to Contact Us, click the large grey Cancel Order button, and follow the instructions on the next page to fill out the cancellation and refund form If they had actually placed an order that information on how to cancel would have also been in every email they had been sent from LawnMowingOnline.com

The company is wrong I have never cancelled the order for my lawn to be cut The company is demanding this so they can hold me to the cancellation of service I refuse to cancel because of this I placed the order on the 19th but did not cancel on the 20th I have paid for a lawn service which I have not received any lawn service as of to date 9/27/ I paid another company to cut my lawn on 9/24/I will send emails to show they have never even had someone arranged to cut my lawn Services have never been rendered and I never cancelled They have never refunded any portion of my payment let alone the $cancellation fee They are the ones that have "cancelled" since no services were scheduled to cut my lawn

Sorry the customer disagrees, but there has been no requests for refunds or cancellations but this customer did file a cancellation and refund request in so they are aware of how to do that since the process has not changed so I am not sure why they are contacting the Revdex.com instead of canceling like they did before That said, since they know how to cancel an order and request a refund, they just need to do that If they have forgotten, there are instructions sent in every email they have ever been sent from LawnMowingOnline But if they happened to have deleted all the emails we have sent here are the instructions again: Go to Contact Us, click Cancel Order and follow the instructions Please be aware that contractors are held responsible when a customer cancels so there may be repercussions for the contractor including being removed from the website and payments withheld If possible, try and work out the situation with the contractor by rescheduling for a new mowing date in the future Even if you mowed your lawn today that grass will grow back and will need mowing in the next week or two Thank you
