Very satisfied! The contractor was on time, did an amazing job and cleaned up after he was done! My yard looks awesome!

This company takes money first Says a job will be done a certain day and they do not fullfill the what they agreed to In my case they agreed they would now my lawn on 6/ On 6/I followed up with them at 8pm asking why they haven't done my lawn They responded with broken English that would do the yard first thing in the morning on 6/ The yard still has not been completed and the company is no longer responding

My experiences with LawnMowingOnline have been superbThe website is very straightforward and the contractors have all been extremely professional and efficientI proudly recommend their services to my friends and plan on utilizing them for many years to come

There is a cancellation link provided in every email sent to the customer The link is also clearly labeled by a large Cancel Order button on the Contact Us page It does not send the customer to the homepage Customer please read website

I am rejecting this response because:
I'm not accepting any response from this business until I receive a full refundI was FINALLY able to cancelled my order, but the ONLY contact I've received from this business is the message response from this complaintI guess the only way to talk to customer service is to file a complaint with Revdex.comNow, the contractor is texting my cell phone and telling me that the company blames him for my cancellation and is threatening to not pay him for previous jobsI don't know if that is true but I shouldn't have to deal with this and the company should reach out and do something about itI WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN!
Sincerely,

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/11/10) */
A little explanation about how LawnMowingOnline.com operates is necessary to explain this situation. No one employed by LawnMowingOnline.com mows lawns. We provide a online marketplace between people seeking lawn mowing services and those that...

provide lawn mowing services. This is similar to the way that eBay does not sell cars or items, but individuals go to eBay to sell their car or items, since eBay is a also online marketplace. People that provide lawn mowing services sign up on LawnMowingOnline.com. When someone seeking mowing services places an order, the order is sent to people providing mowing services in that area. This is made very clear to customers before ordering, that the service is provided by individuals in their area, not by LawnMowingOnline.com employees. Someone, not a employee of LawnMowingOnline.com, takes the order, provides the service, and the customer confirms the service was provided and requests payment to be released. We do not pay contractors to mow lawns. The customers decide if the service was done and if they should be paid. If a customer says a lawn was not mowed, they are given a full refund, no matter what the contractor says, because LawnMowingOnline.com does not decide if the service was provided. In this case, a contractor took the order, exchanged phone numbers with the customer online through messages on LawnMowingOnline.com, provided the service and uploaded photos. The customer then logged in, reviewed the photos, and thanked the contractor in the messages. The customer was asked "Was the order finished and are you satisfied with the work provided? After you select YES and click "Report Status" the contractor will be automatically paid and there is no way to request the contractor to return if there is a problem or request a refund." The customer proceeded to mark the checkbox labeled "Yes I am satisfied the order was finished, I will not request a refund, please pay the contractor" and clicked "Report Status" to confirm. At that time the payment was released to the contractor in our system, because the customer requested the contractor be paid. As it says, there is no way to request a refund after this, because payment has already been released to the contractor. If the customer feels they are due a refund, this customer has the contractor's phone number. If the contractor does not cooperate, the customer can contact support and request the contractor's name and address so they may sue for a refund. But LawnMowingOnline.com does not have a refund to provide since the payment was released to the contractor at the customer's request.

I am rejecting this response because:The response has nothing to do with my complaint. My order was canceled prior to a contractor getting involved. When a contractor did "accept" the offer it had already been canceled & I canceled again and again with no response. So, he did not service my property, I paid for a service that was not performed and am now not allowed to receive a refund. Please return my funds, pay the contractor for the services he performed at other properties & was never paid and unfreeze his account so he is able to work. This is still unacceptable! I have since retained other lawncare service so I will not need to be serviced by your company in the future.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I am sorry to hear the customer is not satisfied.  As I said in the previous message to the customer, the order was reposted for August 4th.  On August 4th a contractor mowed the lawn and uploaded photos that the customer can view online.  The contractor sent several messages to the customer asking how to access the backyard since there was a lock on the fence.  Customer never replied.  Contractor only mowed the front yard and provided before and after photos to the customer.  As of today, August 10th, customer has not sent a message to the contractor indicating there was any problem with the mowing or asked them to return to mow the backyard.  If the customer feels the service is not satisfactory, please login and let the contractor know you are not happy with the service and will not be paying them, and contact support requesting a new contractor.  Since the original order was placed over 12 months ago it is too late to send a refund but we can repost the job for a new contractor to accept.  Photos provided by the contractor are attached.  Thank you.

Sorry to hear the contractor did not reply to your complaints.  The contractor's access was limited after your complaint so they could not take new jobs but they could still reply to your complaint.  Since they never resolved this, their access remains limited, so they can no longer take...

orders on the website.  The only complaint LawnMowingOnline received from you was May 14th.  At that time the customer and contractor were sending messages through the website to resolve the situation so there was no action to be taken by LawnMowingOnline.  Now 3 months later we have received a Revdex.com complaint.  If the contractor was unwilling to resolve this in May, another message to support should have been sent in May so support could take action.  As you have stated, the contractors are not employees or contractors of LawnMowingOnline, they are separate entities, in the same way a ebay seller is not a employee of ebay, so LawnMowingOnline is limited by what we can do.  We can not "force" the mowing contractors to provide good service, all we can do is remove them from the website.  Since our payment processor does not allow refunds past 60 days your order would have to be reposted.  Contact support if you would like your order to be reposted for a future date.  Payment was never released to the previous contractor since he did not resolve this situation so there would be no charge for the new order.  Thank you.

Customer ordered on June 27th and cancelled on June 29th, so the customer agreed to a $15 fee being charged.
From Support FAQ on LawnMowingOnline:
24. "I placed a order and quickly cancelled and was charged a $15 fee, what was the fee...

for?"
A: Cancellation fees are very common in service industry type businesses. Doctors, dentists, hair salons, moving companies and many other businesses charge fees if a appointment is cancelled within a certain time frame of when the service is being provided. So we adopted the same polices that those businesses do. If a person schedules services and cancels within 2 business days of the order being placed LawnMowingOnline reserves the right to charge a $15 fee. The policy has worked exactly as expected, more orders are getting accepted and mowed and fewer orders are being cancelled. Avoiding this fee is simple, just do not cancel within 2 business days of scheduling service. For example, if you order May 1st for mowing on May 2nd, do not cancel on May 1st, May 2nd (1 day) or May 3rd (2 days). The order can be cancelled on May 4th (3 days since May 1st) and there will be no fee. Of course by then the order will likely be accepted by a contractor and already mowed so there would no longer be any reason to cancel.
To make sure every customer knows about the cancellation fee it is listed in 2 places. It is listed on the Terms of Service page that all customers agree to before placing an order and the cancellation fee is explained in bold text and underlined on the cancellation page that all customers must fill out to cancel an order.

Order was refunded on April 27th, a day before this complaint was filed.

With the two orders being placed for the same mowing date there was a bit of confusion on our part since it appeared as if the lawn had been mowed and payment had been released to the contractor before any complaint was filed. Full $31.00...

refund has been sent for the order that was not completed.

I am rejecting this response because: the address to be mowed was [redacted] in riverview mo here is my receipt and they lawn that was to be mowed was [redacted] riverview Mo

There has been no requests for refunds or cancellations but this customer did file a cancellation and refund request in 2015 so they are aware of how to do that since the process has not changed so I am not sure why they are contacting the Revdex.com instead of canceling like they did before.  That...

said, since they know how to cancel an order and request a refund, they just need to do that.  If they have forgotten, there are instructions sent in every email they have ever been sent from LawnMowingOnline.  But if they happened to have deleted all the emails we have sent here are the instructions again:  Go to Contact Us, click Cancel Order and follow the instructions.  Please be aware that contractors are held responsible when a customer cancels so there may be repercussions for the contractor including being removed from the website and payments withheld.  If possible, try and work out the situation with the contractor by rescheduling for a new mowing date in the future.  Even if you mowed your lawn today that grass will grow back and will need mowing in the next week or two.  Thank you.

There have not been any orders for 8681 Brittany Town Place.  If the customer has a order it is very easy to cancel.  Just go to Contact Us, click the large grey Cancel Order button, and follow the instructions on the next page to fill out the cancellation and refund form.  If...

they had actually placed an order that information on how to cancel would have also been in every email they had been sent from LawnMowingOnline.com.

I am rejecting this response because:I have sent several emails both via the website and also directly to [redacted]@lawnmowingonline.zendesk.com.  I have also asked the contractors to refund and got no reply.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

When a customer cancels, the contractor that took the job may have their access to take new jobs limited and their assets due from previous jobs frozen so they are not paid for any jobs they have recently finished.  Reason is when customers start cancelling and complaining it usually means the...

contractor isn't doing what he's suppose to be doing and those other orders he says he finished usually end up being more complaints and cancellations, sometimes weeks later.  This is a very common practice all online merchants that process credit cards are faced with, that their accounts may be frozen if too many of their customers cancel their credit card payments for whatever reason.  This is a very common practice all online merchants that process credit cards are faced with, that their accounts may be frozen if too many of their customers cancel their credit card payments for whatever reason, even payments from other customers that have not complained are frozen. While their access is limited they can still send you messages and you can send them messages.  Please work out this situation with the contractor so they may resume work and have their account unfrozen.  Contractors rely on those payments.  Perhaps talk with them and pick a new mowing date in the future.  I'm sure your lawn will grow back in a few days and you will need mowing again.  Thank you.

Customer left this Revdex.com complaint within 1 hour of contacting support saying she can not access her account.  That is not appropriate behavior so the customer has been permanently ban from using LawnMowingOnline services.
