The records for LAZ Parking show that an appeal was submitted for notice #[redacted] on 6/4/16. A response, approving the appeal, was submitted on 6/6/16. When the appeal was approved the parking fee notice was voided and all related fees were waived. An emailed response...

LAZ Parking would like to note that all of our locations contain signs stating that the lot may be used for public parking, in addition to our signs stating that the parking is paid parking and also displaying rates.

Good:
-They did issue a credit to my card for the 2nd charge
Bad:
-They still have yet to show a time-stamped email as proof they actually sent a renewal reminder. They only have a internal record, which may or may not be complete.
-They still do not acknowledge the practice of backdating my permit 2 weeks, yet continuing to hold me responsible for not have a permit for those 2 weeks, so the 1st ticket charge is also invalid.
-The above responses suggest to me that they will continue to do this to other people, since there is actually no apology or admittance of customer mistreatment. In particular the practice of quickly giving a customer a 2nd ticket before they even have a chance to renew, and also backdating a renewed permit but still holding tickets for lack of permit as valid and payable.
Incorrect:
-The charge went up to $45 during the time of this conversation, so they did refund me $45 for the 2nd ticket (not $35).

The Parking Rules and regulations agreed to by the customer at the time of purchase and renewal of the permit state that a current permit must be displayed at all times. Customers receive a copy of these rules and they are available on the website. Enforcement agents have no access to the...

customer’s account information. They visually inspect each permit displayed on the vehicle. They will issue notices to vehicles that are displaying an  expired permit.

The previous signs have not been removed, which is apparent by the photo I attached to this response, as is the same photo from when the ticket was issued. I will gladly abide by the 10:30 am rule on the 4th level, but I ask to please pardon this ticket, as I was unaware of this policy, by the conflicting signs. Any ticket henceforth will be completely justified.

cannot say the matter has been resolved yet. I sent a scan of the refund ticket to LAZ Parking to the email noted in the response. It really will not be resolved until I actually get the refund. I understand that may take longer than the days you have allotted to hear back from me. If your policy is to close the complaint that is fine. I can always open a new one if there are further issues.I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and if they supply the refund I will be satisfied. I do think they need to evaluate the way they do refunds. They now say for this one they will accept the scan but did not mention any real change in way they deal with them going forward.

Unfortunately, patrons HOPE to get away with paying the least amount. Your inconvenience could have easily been avoided by selecting to pay the full amount in the beginning, which was available to you. Parking is a business that is no different than any other in that if you want $10 of gas you get $10 of gas, you can't pump $10 and pay $5 and then come back later and say I'll pay the difference now...

The vehicle in question was issued a parking fee notice because it did not abide by the rules of the location. The vehicle was parked in a space that is clearly designated as Reserved parking space for a business that purchases the space, on a monthly basis. The fee that was incurred is a penalty for parking in a space where it was unauthorized to park.
