The records for LAZ Parking show that an appeal was submitted for notice #[redacted] on 6/4/16. A response, approving the appeal, was submitted on 6/6/16. When the appeal was approved the parking fee notice was voided and all related fees...

were waived. An emailed response was sent to the email address provided with the appeal.
LAZ Parking would like to note that all of our locations contain signs stating that the lot may be used for public parking, in addition to our signs stating that the parking is paid parking and also displaying rates.

Hello, On 1/*/2016 [redacted] used our facility and took over a 1/2 hour to leave the building after he paid his parking fee. We have signs posted at each Pay Station stating our exit policy: " You must pay when ready to exit the building". Also, a disclaimer is printed on each...

ticket issued which states: " Pay only when ready to exit. Exit within 15 Minutes of paying or Additional charges will apply". This policy was put in places to prevent customers from paying early and heading to the various shops and restaurants in the building. This was a major issue in the past. We are contractually obligated by the Port Authority of NY/NJ (our Client) to enforce this policy. Pictures of the signage and ticket disclaimer can be provided upon request. This is in response to consumer complaint # [redacted].
The customer, [redacted], had a defective parking access device which had to be replaced. The parking access device was replaced several times this summer but was not functioning because it had been installed incorrectly each time.
It was finally corrected mid-September when the parking access device was replaced again for the last time. The customer was contacted and she confirmed that everything was functioning properly. The issue of the access device being installed incorrectly was resolved by further training the employee.
We had requested the customer to make a response to the Revdex.com indicating that the problem had been resolved but the customer did not want to submit the updated information as she believed and stated that there is “no need” to report it.

I have paid for a space. This is unacceptable and an unfair policy. should the same instance happen at another lot ie. a municipal lot the vehicle will be ticketed yet once proof of payment has been verified the ticket is resolved.

The spaces in question are PERMIT SPACE ONLY. These spaces have been paid by permit holders. As a courtesy, we allowed regular customers to use those spaces after 10am.  Therefore, payments need to be made at the pay station.

We apologize for the inconvenience.
 
It appears there was an error made when processing your original appeal. We will take the necessary steps to clear the parking fee notice and void all related fees.

I am rejecting this response because: I was charged $8, then an additional $42.89. I could have very easily paid the $4 more for all day since I had already paid more than half of the $12 day rate. Instead they have someone waiting in the parking lot so they can slap a boot on your car and make you pay to take it off or have you towed costing you even more. This business is ripping off people and they shouldn't be getting away with it. You go to a parking garage or airport and you pay at the end because you know how long you parked there. LAZ wants you to guess, they are pretty sure you'll lose track of time so they can hijack your vehicle and make you pay 10 times more than an extra $4.

To clarify, LAZ Parking does monitor the Shops at La Jolla Village parking lot to ensure not only that the parkers do not stay over the allotted time but also to ensure that vehicles parked in the lot belong to customers shopping at the center, only during the time that they are shopping at Shops at La Jolla Village Center.

[Your Answer HereBoth of the body shops I took my car to mentioned that it will take 3 days to repair. I was told that they will need to re-paint the entire bumper which also needs to dry properly. This is not fair, your employee caused the damage to my car and I should not have to pay one penny out of my pocket for the repairs nor have to pay for a car rental during the repairs in order for my wife to get to work. This is also costing me my valuable personal time and effort.

The parking citation I recieved makes absolutely little sense, and I don't  believe I should have to pay it based on the cricumstances.

Good:-They did issue a credit to my card for the 2nd chargeBad:-They still have yet to show a time-stamped email as proof they actually sent a renewal reminder. They only have a internal record, which may or may not be complete.-They still do not acknowledge the practice of backdating my permit 2 weeks, yet continuing to hold me responsible for not have a permit for those 2 weeks, so the 1st ticket charge is also invalid.-The above responses suggest to me that they will continue to do this to other people, since there is actually no apology or admittance of customer mistreatment. In particular the practice of quickly giving a customer a 2nd ticket before they even have a chance to renew, and also backdating a renewed permit but still holding tickets for lack of permit as valid and payable. Incorrect:-The charge went up to $45 during the time of this conversation, so they did refund me $45 for the 2nd ticket (not $35).
