Mad city windows was a pleasure to deal with, from the salesman to the installer , and customer service, will definitely be buying from them again.

We are very happy with our new windows and have been very impressed by the level of service/professionalism from everyone on staff from the salespeople, schedulers and installers.

When the appointment was made for the representative to come out and give an estimate they were well aware we were looking to re-model our main bathroom. The entire bathroom. Not until the representative had been in my house for 45 minutes did he reveal Mad City only does work on the actual shower area, and the rest of the re-model would have to be handled by a separate contractor. Also, never once did they reveal the representative would be in my home for 3 hours! I practically had to throw the man out of the house! He spent the first 1.5 hours telling us how wonderful, award winning and respected Mad City is in the business community. The rest of the time he tried in vain to sell me a shower that was so far off the mark, it still amazes me. I will not even get started on the unbelievably out of this world pricing I received. Every time I told him he had to leave, he would ignore it and continue with his pitch. This is Company is a disgrace and the reason average people do not upgrade their homes as they should. They should not have a high Revdex.com rating.

To Whom it may concern,

We apologize for your experience with your Bathroom estimate. We strive for excellent customer service and attention to detail. When we visit with a homeowner, unlike the majority of contractors out there, we do take time to properly measure and inspect the project being considered, go through all the details of the project in terms of style, colors etc. and give an exact price in writing. To do this properly it does take some time however it's well worth the investment versus a typical contractor appointment that lasts 15 minutes and you don't know what you are getting and often times a ballpark price. The majority of other large/professional Bath remodeling companies have very similar processes such as ours you will find if you receive further estimates.

Regards,

Salesman was great and very convincing. This is a NARI organization and was at the NARI show in Milwaukee in October. Contracted with them to replace current tub in bathroom with new walk-in shower. Removal and installation was a nightmare. The crew was pleasant but it took them all day into evening. Very noisy and dusty - they did not use tarps and my whole house was covered in dust. They broke wall tile and had a two in gap in floor because they did not measure properly. Shower was not level and doors did not close. Shower doors not coated properly and doors and smudges did not come off. They ordered new door and spacer for floor. Waited a month for new parts. When team came to fix all issues, the piece for the floor is white. The new shower install is grey and bathroom is peach and black - it looks terrible. Service manager seemed put out with my questions and concerns. He has not yet contacted me about the last repairs and the tile that was broken has not been repaired yet either.
They may do a good job with roofing and Windows, but DO NOT USE them for bathroom renovations.

They do good work for a great price and have a great warranty on the windows too! Very happy with our new windows!

We had out windows replaced by Mad City. We spent months researching products and getting comparative quotes. In the end the price and the product were the best with Mad City. The installation team was phenomenal. They did a fantastic job cleaning up the space once the job was complete and did a through walk thru of each window when completed. Very happy with the new windows!

Product not as promised. Price was not disclosed properly leaving us with a much higher payment than expected.

We sided our house with MadCity and we’re impressed and happy with the work that was done. Our house looks great and I definitely recommend them.

Remarkably easy process from sales pitch to purchase to installation. We have been pleased with all staff of this company so far and they are very responsive to questions or concerns.

I felt like Mad City Windows gave me a good price and provided efficient service. They were good communicators and provided a follow up visit to remedy a couple issues.

While everything was not perfect, we would recommend Mad City Baths. There were a few issues that could have been avoided if they would have sent the installer along with the gentleman who did the measurements. They did correct everything and were very nice about it. Overall we would give them a rating of 8 out of 10.

The windows are beautiful and function well. Also, installation was quick and they cleaned up any mess well.

I recently had a shower replacement and couldn’t be happier with the job mad city had done. They were very friendly and easy to work with throughout the entire process. Would highly recommend.

We had shopped around and received a great deal on price working with mad city. The sales man who came over was knowledgeable and non abrasive. The installation crew were prompt. Spoke kindly, worked swiftly and cleaned up after themselves. They did s really nice job with the installation. The only challenge I had was 1 window wasn’t sent by the manufacturer and so they had to reset the installation by a few weeks, however it worked well for my schedule so all worked out. The receptionist was kind and very accommodating to inform me of the delay.
Overall- 4 of 5 I will recommend to others

Everything was good - people wise - nice folks. Installation of ceiling piece to one side is off by over 1/4 inch. Really? It is on the door side so I didn't notice until they were gone. It should have never been cut that way to begin with. Price is too high for what is done by about 25%.

We had our bath/shower done. The installers were very friendly, but we had caulking issues right away. Their service guys came out and ended up damaging the window trim when he was supposed to be fixing the caulking. We had to do another service ticket to come out and replace the lower trim piece. Same service guy came out and replaced it. We waited the 24 hours for caulk to cure, noticed it was still soft. Waited until the next morning (now 36 hours total) and when we took a shower, the caulk got runny like wet paint. Did another service ticket and complained about it. Got a call and was told caulk takes a good week to harden completely. I said it has been several days and it is like wet paint, I could tell he used the wrong caulk, also the caulk he used outside the surround was GE Silicone caulk you buy at the local box stores. I complained about that, that it wasn't their caulk that they have the patent on. We said we did not want that service guy back in our house.
Every time we filled out a service ticket I would put to contact me between 3:00-5:00 PM. Every time they called was about 9:00 AM. Why even bother putting a time frame down if they don't pay attention to it.
When he did call and we said we didn't want same guy back, that was a Thursday morning, I finally had to submit another service ticket over the weekend because he never called back like he was going to do after checking their schedule. I ended up getting someone from the Madison area to come to the Milwaukee area to fix the problem.
I asked him about the shower walls according to the brochure were supposed to extend past the tub and down to the floor. The installers didn't do that and said it wasn't necessary. Come to find out this was wrong and it should have "legs" that go down to the floor. This will be another call to Mad City to fix. This will be the 5th time we will have to be out of a shower while we wait for caulk to cure.

After having several plumbers tell us that they couldn't do our bathroom the way we wanted, we called Mad City and asked them to come out and take a look. The salesman, Joe, was fantastic. He listened to what we wanted and gave us options within our budget. Of course, he wanted to close the deal that night, he's a salesman, that's his job, but we never felt that he was overly pushy.
On the day of the install, it was rainy and an overall crappy day. I was worried that would impact the install, but they were on time (early in fact), professional and very friendly. They kept me informed throughout the day and went over and above to line up the new "tile" look liner with the existing porcelain tile on the bathroom walls. They did an excellent job cleaning up afterward and we are all so happy with the new bathroom!
We would highly recommend Mad City. Their prices were only a small amount higher than what we had been quoted by two plumbers, and for the service and one day installation it was totally worth that little bit extra.

Mad City Windows was called( by my clients) to give an estimate for a broken seal on a bedroom window. The broken seal was identified by a certified home inspector, the new buyers wanted the seal repaired. The sales representative for mad City Window sold them 2 windows when there request was made to fix a seal. My clients are an older Spanish couple with minimal English language. The price for the windows was over $4,000, which my clients paid for in advance with a credit card. Upon learning of this transaction I called Mad City Windows to cancel the window order/installation, and refund my sellers. I was told because it was well after their (2) day cancellation policy Mad City Windows will not consider any refund, or admit to taking advantage of my sellers. This job should of been a seam repair and the price would probably be around $500. The lady at Mad City Windows, who received my call, hung up on me.

Mad City Windows & Baths Response • Nov 12, 2018

To Whom It May Concern,

The customer contacted us via our website specifically asking for a quote on 2-4 replacement windows per the notes in our system. Furthermore a Spanish speaking bilingual representative was given the appointment so there was no issue with communication as stated in the complaint. They were fully aware of what they were ordering etc. We do not offer or handle repairs we do full replacement windows. At this time the product has been fully ordered and is a custom product that we have no use for outside of this specific project. The project is scheduled for installation on 12-14-18. Refunding or cancellation of the job is not an option at this time.

Regards,

Mad City Windows

I did not get what I was promised. My tub to walkin shower job turned out totally different than they said it would. The salesman was misleading and the entire experience was a disaster from start to now. The main problem is, due to an error in their measurements, the attached curved shower rod they were going to install could not be used since the size of the shower was now affected and was going to be smaller than originally promised. The curtain on a curved rod would have extended out too far and would have been up against the toilet. The installer sent me out to buy a rod. I had originally wanted a door and told the salesman so 3 times and 3 times he said no, I was going to love the curved shower rod and that it would be beautiful. The installer put up the rod.
Three days into using my new shower, I heard a loud clatter and found the shower rod had fallen. I had just stepped out of it. I could have been in the shower when that happened. I put up a 2nd one and it too fell a few days later. They slide on the walls that were installed. The third time I was in the shower and I saw the rod sliding down the wall and was able to stop it from falling to the bottom of the shower. I called the company that manufactures the surround to see why this was happening. Before they could tell me they needed the unit number of what was used. To date I haven't been able to get it since I was told they don't deal with that information.
Originally I wanted a door. I still want a door. I contacted the project manager and told him I wanted a door. They sent out a salesman who wasn't in my house 10 minutes after arriving 20 minutes late. He was not a nice man. Mad City now wants almost $700 for an installed door. I would be more than happy to share that cost with them since it is their fault the proper rod could not be installed. Personally I think they should give me a door for the cost of installation. I am now afraid to be in the shower for very long fearing the rod will fall again. I am 82 years old and I did this install for my safety. How am I to feel safe in my own brand new walk-in shower.

I had a walk in shower installed. They estimated 2 days, but was done in one day. YAY! I did find an issue after they left and they came back and fixed and for my trouble installed a handrail I originally declined, but really wanted after using. I LOVE my walk in shower
