The magazine company sent me a message awhile back saying they were working on it. That is the same run around I have been getting since last year.  They have yet to provide the product I paid for.  I do not believe they intend to.

I found myself on their webpage. I was being given an offer to purchase ~12 month subscription of 4 magazines for $2 each. I selected my 4 and then continued on to the next page where they had my enter in my card information. It showed the total to be $8... then after continuing from there they brought me to another page where they offered me 6 months subscription of 3 more magazines "RISK FREE". I selected 3 magazines I liked and then clicked continue. I was thinking the next page was going to be a confirmation page where it was gonna show me the new total of my purchase now that I had added 3 more magazines to my list. BUT they did not. The next thing that happened after selecting 3 more magazines "risk free" is being charged $90. Then when I called the automated voice was a pain and it was not easy to use. I kept pressing 0 until I could get a rep. Finally after 20-30 minutes I was talking to a male rep and he kept telling me that "risk free" does not mean "free" and that "Risk free" means paying full price for something. And then he kept telling me that he couldn't help me to cancel the order because it hasn't been processed yet and told me to call back on Monday or Tuesday! So I had to demand the help of a supervisor ('Rebecca D.') and she was able to fix the situation ...so she said anyways. I'm still waiting for word from my bank. 'MagazineOutlet' is trying to SWINDLE consumers. Not telling you really what is going on and there is not even any fine print being offered either! I looked for the fine print on every page and they gave no clue at all that any full prices were going to be charged. Apparently they don't have to?? I did keep the original 4 magazines 12 month subscription for $2 each deal but now that I have had this experience and reading all these other bad reviews I am concerned I will be dealing with more ** from these people. It doesn't seem like it should be legal but apparently it is! Businesses should not be given this much freedom as to be able to commit what is really actually a scam and then completely get away with it.

Reviewing my credit card, I found a charge through this company for a magazine I did not order. After an email and two phone calls, I FINALLY got my full refund. They said it was an automatic renewal of a previous order. That is untrue! I did get my money back, but don't think this company is on the up and up.

If you want to simplify your life, DON'T ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They are misleading. The magazine I ordered was not a magazine, but a few papers folded, standard size, not bound and not in color. It was NOT like the image shown on their page at all!!! Also it took well over the allowed time that they stated, over 9wks to get it! I had to call them twice. When I asked to speak to their billing dept, they said they COULD NOT DO THAT! Seriously!!?? What they do not tell you is that you will be billed again after 12 months automatically. I had stated in my call with them that I want to cancel service at the end of this subscription. I have also notified my bank, as I've seen where others have had problems with this company charging them again, after the customer had cancelled! BEWARE!!! YOU DO NOT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! THEY ARE MISLEADING!!! They seem to be the "middle man" and don't know a thing!!

by 2/**/16 the publisher will allow us to send a status request.

The response was what I originally attempted to resolve this issue with no result, that is why I had to bring it to the attention of the Revdex.com. I have attached the the notice that my [redacted] card was axxepted but the email has been since deleted. Still it is evidence in itselt that the transaction was valid and my card was accepted and the charge was applied.I more than ever feel that the MagazineDiscountCenter.com operates in a very dishonest business manner and their advertisements are purposely misleading, they should honestly state that a renewal is required with a subscription. That is why it took them a month to kick my card out, they finally realized it was no good for an auto renewal.

I have emailed my complaint because there is no direct person to person complaint resolution. I was sent with my magazine an offer to renew for two years for the discounted price of one year if I renewed online. I renewed online but was not given the second year. Their online renewal system lacks the ability to recognize old customers from new. There is no place for an account or subscription number and no code for special offers.
They took my money in seconds but I still after 5 days have no resolution. Do not do business with this company.

They never supplied a working phone number. They never helped me cancel. I had to go thru my credit card company. These people should not be allowed to get away with bad business practices.

I made an order - one item was a gift - all four orders were sent to the address of that "gift". I have emailed and continue to get the standard form that is put very positively but no follow up on my request to cancel the order. My next alternative is to dispute the charge with the credit card company. Someone should at least establish a dialogue - this should be easily solved! Where is the customer service that is claimed to be of prime importance to this company.

I received the original amount only after I threatened to contact the Attn. Generals office of New York. This has been white washed long enough. The Backwoodsman Magazine has told me that there have been other complaints about this company. How much longer are these people going to be allowed to scam people?

I ordered online 12 issues of Reader's Digest for $10, on 01/2015. I now get a bill for $45??? Of course, I tried calling, but you no longer give customer service on the phone. I can see why when you rip people off. I will be writing or calling the Revdex.com along with our Attorney General in Mn., unless I get some satisfaction from your Company.
