I ordered magazines and they took the payment on 6-*-2015. as of 8-**-2015 still have not received. after calling them I was told I would get the first magazine in late October. They claim there was a problem with my payment. funny came out of my account minutes after I ordered.

Review: On June [redacted], 2014, I ordered a subscription to Mad Magazine online from Magazine Discount Center. This was to be a gift subscription for my neighbor, [redacted], [redacted]. The website said the magazine subscription would begin in 6 to 8 weeks; to date, the magazine has not been sent to my neighbor. Today I received an email from Magazine Discount Center saying they did not know when the magazine subscription would start, but that it would end with issue #[redacted]. I paid for a full year of the magazine. I do not know when it is going to start. The two-month waiting period for the magazine has passed. They have not delivered the magazine as I expected them to do.Desired Settlement: I would like Magazine Discount Center to tell me when the subscription to Mad Magazine will begin -- and -- I want them to send a FULL YEAR of the magazine.

Review: I ordered three subscription magazines; J-14, Black Enterprises and Health Magazine on August *, 2013 and never received the magazines. They took out $33.92 out of my account on August **, 2013. I called and spoke with [redacted] on October * and she said it takes 8 - 10 weeks so it should arrive by the following week or the week after. I called today October **, 2013 and spoke with [redacted] who said she cancelled the orders and I should get a refund within 10 business days. I will see if that turns out to be true since she gave me another number to call if that does not happen within 10 days. That number is ###-###-####.

Review: On February *, 2016, I received a bill for $886.39, from [redacted], a debt collection agency acting on behalf of the Readers Discount Center ([redacted]). I immediately called Central Billing and was advised that back in 2012, I had agreed to pay $49.95 monthly for five years for five magazine subscriptions.The credit card I used for payment has been cancelled, so Central Billing is trying to collect the debt. I tried three times to contact Readers Discount Center, but was unable to speak to a live human being.

I have disputed the total amount and here's why: my credit card was charged on March **,2012; however, on my April credit card statement, there is a credit to my account from National Magazines. I recall that I did give my credit card number to start the magazine subscriptions; but, the next day, I called the subscription service back and cancelled the order. On April *, 2012, National Magazines credited my credit card account the same amount I was billed on March **, 2012.Desired Settlement: Billing adjustment; Explanation of Charges; Correction to Credit Report; No Further Contact By the Businesses.

Review: magazines being sent without me ever ordering them. I called about 6 mo. ago and they said they would stop & not charge for any sent. A few months later they started coming again. I've paid no bills sent.

I have watched for these "small print offers" now & have sen it only in 1 other website. I promptly canceled my order of clothing & will never do any business with them.

I hope you can get them to stop. I never order magazines.

Review: I have not even gone through this company but they have renewed magazines without my approval and I have no idea how they even have my card information. I didn't even know who it was until I spoke with a customer service representative from one of the 2 magazines I did not renew or even approve. Better homes and gardens for $12.81 via MDC and All recipes $12.81 via MDC. I have contacted them via email 3 times and no one has even responded. I have all messages and screenshots of the charges from my credit card company. I just want a refund for both amounts. This company has terrible customer service, well actually, no customer service. They never had my permission and based on all the complaints on here, this is a common practice. I have gone to the magazines and cancelled all my subscriptions and still no refund because they said it had to be done through Magazines Discount Center.Desired Settlement: Refund of BOTH charges of $12.81 from both magazines, to the card they charged it to. Review: I order the [redacted] magazine online from the Magazine Discount Center back on 12/**/2014 . It stated that it would take 4 to 10 weeks to receive the magazine for new orders, but in that time the magazine itself offered the same thing for $25.00 instead of $52.42. So I came home and called MDC on [redacted] 01/**/2015 and cancelled my order they said it would take 3 to 5 business days to have my money put back on my account. I called [redacted] 01/**/2014 they said it takes five days and if it is not on there [redacted] to call back .so I return home today from work called to see if they put the money on my account NO it was not there so when I called they had no order number that I gave nor no name that was order but I have a email from business stated all this . All I want is to have my money put back to my account ,they wanted my card number again and I wouldn't gave to them. I feels they are trying to rip me off now I have to wait another five days so someone else can look into it. I also e-mail the e-mail they sent to me back to them I have everything they sent saved , Like I said I just want my money back no problems.Desired Settlement: I don't think that the Magazine Discount Center is giving anybody any discount when they charge you double for a magazine and you have a hard time getting your money back. They sell a magazine for $52.42 when the magazine itself charges $25.00

Review: An erroneous charge of $37.00 was posted to my credit card on 2/**/14. I immediately called the Magazine Discount Center & told them I did not authorize this charge. They assured me that I would be issued a refund of the $37.00 (ref. # [redacted]). My subsequent credit card statement solely reflected a credit of $33.92 from this vendor. It was short a credit of $3.08 which is still owed to me. In addition, this sam vendor billed me an additional erroneous change of $2.00 on 4/*/14. Now they owe me $5.08. I called them again & of course nothing was done about it. I would like the $5.08 refunded to me ASAP. In addition, I would appreciate it if you would make a note on file that they are a disreputable company so that other individuals are not taken advantage of. I ordered TV guide on 1/**/2016 from magazine discount center, it has yet to be delivered. I sent an email inquiring on status on 4/* 4/* and again on 4/**. I have not been contacted at all with the status of my order. At this point my year subscription will be up before I even receive it!!

Requested a cancellation of the subscription because I thought I was ordering directly through the magazine. It's been 2 weeks and 4 requests for cancellation and refund and still have not heard frkm them. Called the number and the number just said they no longer have phone support and to contact them through email. I did that AGAIN and still no response 4 days later. These deceptive practices are ridiculous. I want a refund and to cancel my service. And DO NOT charge me again next year eventhough I cancelled, because it seems like the sort of website that will do that.

This company is very very shady. I ordered a magazine subscription last year (Infisherman) and a few weeks ago, I see a $36 charge on my credit card for Infisherman. What? Wait! I did not authorize that charge nor did I request a renewal. And the fact that they charged $36 (a two year subscription doesn't even cost that!) sent me over the edge. I contacted customer service via email and heard nothing within the 3-5 business days time frame the site said it takes for someone to get in touch with you. Emailed them again as well as Infisherman and then finally heard a response. They didn't provide an explanation (I asked what the $36 charge was actually for even though I didn't authorize it) and said they would credit my card back. The email from them and Infisherman said I might receive one or two more issues as their gift to me. I checked my credit card and they only credited me back $31.50 instead of the $36 they charged me. I am calling my credit card to dispute the original $36 charge. The customer service number they gave me in the email [redacted] to call if I had questions, is really not a customer service number! It says phone support has been discontinued and that they only support a media platform. Very misleading and very shady. I would not recommend anyone buy from them and I hope that someone takes legal action against them as what they are doing is not proper business

Review: I paid mag. discount $44.90 for 1 yr. and then was charged $355.92 for what iI don't know. When I called to cancel my subscription and asked for a refund of the $355.92, I was told that Mag. Disc. does not give refunds and this charge could not be canceled. I believe others dealing with this firm should be warned of these practices.Desired Settlement: refund of $355.92 and cancellation of my account.

Review: I ordered a year of magazine subscription on December 2013. First problem is, I did not receive my first issue until March. So I am really hoping to receive magazines until March 2015 or I am going to be very upset. Then I received the April issue and never received another issue again. it is May and I have received two issues instead of 5.

I sent an email changing my address mid April but still have received nothing for April or May....

My next problem is that I contacted Magazine Discount Center online chat today (May **, 2014) to ask what is going on and I spoke to [redacted] who was extremely unhelpful. Never presented me with a solution, barely responded to me and all she said was she was sorry. I don't want her sympathy, I want her to solve my issue.

This magazine subscription was a gift and they have completely failed at delivering issues on time if at all. But to top it off, they have completely failed to give me at least a decent customer service experience. I ordered a magazine subscription back in November but have still not received an issue. I opened a ticked in February (Ticket ID: [redacted]) but still have not received any issue. When I try to call their customer service number (###-###-####) the recording says they have discontinued their phone service. I would like a full refund on my credit card.
I'm afraid this company is a complete scam.

Review: I sent a cancellation letter to them on 4/**/2015. After they sent me an order contract,It was dated 4/**/2015. It said I had 10 days from the date on the letter,I have called them 3-4 times and left messages because they were either closed or no one answered they have charged me 49.98 on two different occasions after I sent the cancellation letter.
