Our customer service system shows that [redacted] contacted us on 11/**/15 and our payment processor ([redacted]) shows a refund was posted to the customer’s account on 11/**/15. (Ref# [redacted]). Our return policy is 90 days from date of purchase, however we made an exception...

for [redacted]. Additionally since more than 90 days had passed, his subscription was not cancelled and he should have continued receiving the magazine free of charge.Please let me know what other information you need to resolve this, I’m not sure what else we can do to make [redacted] happy, he’s already receiving a free subscription to his magazine. He also placed an order for Runner’s World magazine 11/**/15, which strikes me as odd given he had been having trouble with us for the prior 6 months according to his complaint.

I accidentally used this service to renew my Threads Magazine. Once I realized what I had done I cancelled my order online (they don't have a phone listing) and was expecting an email confirmation (within 48 hours per their site), but it never arrived. Then for a second and third time I made the same request with no response. I then went to my Visa account and disputed the charge and my bank gave me credit.

It has been over 3 months and I have no magazine for my daughter.
This company took my money the first day.

I been trying to cancel but the confirmation is not valid. I want my refund. They had already took out of account. I ordered twice . Thought this was direct and it wasnt.

I paid for a magazine subscription because I thought I was renewing directly with the magazine. Turns out it was with this magazine discount center...as soon as I realized this (9 days later) I sent the cancellation request and demanded a refund. It has been 4 days and nothing yet...sent a second request. I'm probably screwed out of my money, have since renewed with the actual magazine company.

Well, here is part of the response that I got. Please be aware that I placed this order in Dec. of 2015 and the website states it may take up to 4-12 weeks.
"customer's subscription is due to start with the June 2016 issue, which they should receive no later than June 20, 2016. Also their subscription expiration date is December 2016"So I paid for a year and am only receiving 6 months? Just doesn't make any sense to me. 
It goes on to say this…"To compensate the customer, we have processed a refund of $4.74 for 3 missed issues to be issued back to their account. This adjustment will post to
their credit card within three business days." So they are going to refund me for 3 issues on a year subscription and I am not getting the full year. 
This is completely unacceptable and I want to company to contact me directly, BY PHONE…WITHIN THE NEXT WEEK.

My card was charged right away, yet I can not get ahold of anyone to inquire about my purchase. The E-mail sent verifying my purchase said it could take 4-10 weeks and it has been over 10 weeks. The online customer service page, does not work the majority of the time. There is no phone number to call for Magazine Discount Center, that I have found. I called one of the Magazines directly, twice (weeks apart), to see if the order had been submitted with them yet and they had no record of me ordering any magazines. A few weeks back I tried to change the shipping address for the Magazines and was able to get the online customer service submit button to work once after (trying for about 15-20 minutes). I received an Email response 5 days later. The Email did not even address my question. I do not recommend Magazine Discount Center.

The phone system is automated, so I tried to cancel a subscription via the internet. Without an order number it is impossible to submit a request.
The magazine was automatically renewed. I did not receive prior notice for this.
I cancelled my order over the phone, but would like my money to be refunded.

Review: I ordered a subscription to CT Magazine through Magazine Discount Center in December (2015), and although they charged my credit card on December *, 2015, Magazine Discount Center never sent me a confirmation number. I contacted the magazine directly, and they still have not received the order. I tried contacting Magazine Discount Center, but their phone number simply redirects customers to use their online messaging system, which requires you to first input a confirmation number, which they still have not sent me. At this point, I would like to cancel my order, and I would like my money back ($19.97). This agency is particularly problematic because when I did a [redacted] search of the magazine's name, I was sent directly to Magazine Discount Center (so I am sure this has happened to many other customers). Once I realized there was an issue, there is no way to contact their customer support.Desired Settlement: I would like to cancel my subscription, and I would like to be refunded for the $19.97 that I was charged.

I had received a Time renewal subscription in the mail. It suggested that to save the planet I should renew online, which I promptly did.

The links sent me to the Magazine Discount Center which did not provide the cost of renewal until after I renewed! The cost was $5 more than if I had renewed by snail mail.

I guess that is the cost of "going green"!

I would not recommend doing business with this business as I have tried to contact the magazine to cancel my subscription and the phone number does not connect you to anyone. When I go on line to cancel my confirmation number they say is not valid. I did receive a cancellation notice but they charged my credit card anyway.

Review: This complaint also involves a customer service issue. When I last check on my order with was over two months ago, the man I spoke with was extremely rude. I had to hang up on him.

My subscription has been paid for, and never delivered. What is the story? When are my magazines and/or my refund.

Review: I had bought a subscription to In-Fisherman magazine they charged my bank account for $38 and my subscription does not expire until Jan**,2018 I am trying to get some help on the refund but of no avail I can' t talk to any one just automated .

I contacted Magazine Discount Center online and ordered 'The Week' magaazine subscription for a friend a a Christmas present. $69 was charged to my debit card on 12/**/15. In January, I asked the company for the order status. They acknowledged receipt of the email, but did not otherwise respond. I sent a second email and told them that if they did not provide me with the order status by the end of January, I would cancel the order. When they failed to respond by the end of January, I ordered the magazine directly from the publisher for $10 less. I also discovered from my own research that Magazine Discount Center no longer offered subscriptions to 'The Week'. After this, the company responded to my email and told me delivery would take up to 10 weeks. The publisher has promised me delivery in two weeks on my new subscription. I have filled out the company's cancellation form and have disputed the debit card transacton. Strangely, the company also sent me an email in response to another customer's complaint, again advising that delivery took up to 10 weeks. They tried to pretend that there was an issue with the publisher when the issue was obviously with their own company.

Review: On 12/**/2015 I charged the $9.95 magazine subscription in question using a [redacted] gift card, it was accepted and the follow up email that same evening was sent to me verifying it. I verified that the card was used up at Walmart approx. a week later and it was, so I disposed of the card appropriately. Now a month l later the [redacted] decides to email me a month later on 1/**/2016 and tell me my credit card was bad and to charge another subscription using another charge card. I called them about this ridiculous notice and explained that my card was accepted and I had the evidence. They could care less, saying there process does not completely accept the online charges till later. Well that is obviously a terrible online system, but is it the system??? I think the system is programmed to kick out charge cards that renewals can not be automatically applied to. I am in a nursing home and am a quadriplegic, I have a very, very low income of $30.00 a month. I saved for several months so I could give a Christmas gift to some random handicap young adult next door. At 69 I can not imagine a lifetime like this so I think you can understand why I would want to give some young lady her xmas wish. I might be, and ornery, and even cripple, but I am NOT DISHONEST.Desired Settlement: Please give that young lady her xmas wish, let her read her magazine each month for a year, I only wished I could have gotten others or gotten this one longer. OH, by the way, feel free to call the nursing home where I reside at ###-###-####, they will verify everything I have told you.

The response was what I originally attempted to resolve this issue with no result, that is why I had to bring it to the attention of the Revdex.com. I have attached the the notice that my [redacted] card was axxepted but the email has been since deleted. Still it is evidence in itselt that the transaction was valid and my card was accepted and the charge was applied.I more than ever feel that the MagazineDiscountCenter.com operates in a very dishonest business manner and their advertisements are purposely misleading, they should honestly state that a renewal is required with a subscription. That is why it took them a month to kick my card out, they finally realized it was no good for an auto renewal.
