I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is just another of their delay tactics.  I have received the deposit refund though it required me to call numerous times, leave messages without return phone calls and I was given bogus information about the status of my refund for over two weeks before it was finally sent.  There were deductions taken from my deposit that do not align with the condition I know the house was in when I left but I will not pursue this further as I believe it would be a waste of my time.  I am good to close this file at this time.  I will leave my negative reviews for this company on the various websites they advertise on to be sure others are aware of the deceptive practices of this company.

I just applied for a home that was for rent by MSR that was supposed to be $1595 a month. It was advertised in all of the listings, Zillow, Homes for Rent, Craigslist for $1595. I have screenshots that I took of this because I had sent the ads to my husband to look at. When I applied and paid our application fee for the specific house on their website it also stated the price per month was $1595. A while later I went back to the MSR website and the price per month had been changed to $1795 a month. I contacted someone at their office to ask about it and was told that there are a lot of scams on these listing sites and that their website is correct at $1795. The problem is I would have never applied for that price because that is higher than we want to pay. I feel as though they raised the price to see if they could get someone to pay more since the house isn't available yet. Or, they were hoping to get some more money out of the deal. But, we won't be doing business with this company so it appears we were just scammed out of $40.00.

I am still unhappy regarding the tree branches. I am not comfortable with those being our responsibility. I sent them photos and they still will nof trim them. One branch hangs over our neighbors driveway, and they are unhappy about it. I need assurance that I will receive better customer service from them going forward. These issues could have been dealt with and resolved before all of this. But they chose not too, until the Revdex.com was involved.

Our Resident Care Support Team contacted the Resident and advised them on the process for maintenance issues, and a free carpet cleaning was granted as a concession.

I am rejecting this response because:I spoke with a representative from Main Street Renewal in September and he requested documentation that I was not able to move into the home on the effective date of my lease in order to prorate the balance owed.  I sent information on September 30 and a follow up email on October 25; however,  I have not received a response from anyone about this complaint and would like to reopen ID# [redacted].  The email chain is included below - I sent additional documentation today as well.   Thank you,[redacted]

I suspect MS Renewal will keep delaying in the hope that I will probably go away. The resolution is quite simple. They claim I owe a balance and acknowledged I was never properly billed. The account was sent to collections without first giving me an an opportunity to settle the bill which I would have and the collection agency would not have become involved and reported the alleged debt to the credit repositories.  I am willing to sent to MS Renewal or their agent a check for the full amount of the alleged debt if they will send me a letter stating they will instruct the collection agency to delete the accounts from my credit upon receipt of payment.We should not have to be going back and forth on the matter since lat Friday.I await their response.Regards,[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: Since I posted the complaint with the Revdex.com after I hung up with Main Street Renewal that day, I still have not heard anything regarding the door, neither from Main Street Renewal customer service...

nor the vendor.  Did you call me directly?  If so give me a call now because I haven't heard from you, Main Street.

I moved into one of their properties on December 18, 2016 and from day one there has been nothing but problems with the house. I have emailed and talked with a number of their representatives about the issues. I was told by the guy who was my leasing agent that I would be getting a credit but while waiting for the credit things in the house kept going wrong. I supposedly talked with someone in their corporate who told me that yes I was getting a credit and one of the supervisors would be calling me on 1/20/2017. I never got the call and was trying to log on to the resident portal and was able to so I checked my email and saw an email had been sent to me earlier which stated that I had $313.00 added to my account for eviction fees. I am confused one because I didn't know that I was being evicted and two because I am still waiting to hear from the supervisor about the credit. Had I know how this company was I never would have rented from them. I had to move my mother from Virginia because she is disabled and didn't have the time to really research this company it was actually recommended by my real estate agent. After all of the issues that I've had within this one month actually within the first week I decided to look at the reviews and hate I didn't do my research before hand. Right now as I am typing this I am afraid the house is going to catch on fire due to the circuit box has fuses in it frying.

release our resident from the home due to not communicating any issue with us from the initial part of the move in. We will be sending over a vendor to their home on 1/24/18  to address any issue. Our Resident Care Support Team addressed all of the maintenance issues relayed and offered a concession as a result of the negative experience. At this time all of the Resident’s original concerns have been addressed.
