[redacted]:I am in receipt of the complaint filed by [redacted] with your office regarding SPORTS ILLUSTRATED,  a Time Inc. publication.  I appreciate this opportunity to be of assistance.In reviewing our customer transaction records, I show [redacted] accepted a 1-year (56-issue)...

offer to SPORTS ILLUSTRATED magazine via the Internet for $29 on April *, 2015, which included all the features of the Subscriber's Automatic Renewal Program.  Also, a FREE NFL Performer Jacket is included with the paid order.Our records confirm we made several unsuccessful attempts to charge [redacted] in April 2015, before transferring the billing method from credit card to a billing invoice on April **, 2015.  When the full subscription payment of $29 was submitted online via a new credit card on June *, 2015, this allowed us to select the NFL Performer Jacket for shipment.  However, due to an overwhelming demand for the Performer Jackets, the jackets are currently on backorder.  In accordance to Federal Trade Commission guidelines, we mailed notification regarding the status of the Performer Jacket around July **, 2015.As noted on the online offer, "if item is unavailable, it may be replaced with an item of greater or equal value;" therefore, the following substitute items: Umbrella, Suede Bag, and Radio was selected for mailing to [redacted] on August **.  [redacted] should receive these items within 4 weeks.  In addition, as a goodwill gesture, we will send customer his requested Dallas Cowboys Performer Jacket upon receipt from the manufacturer.I appreciate this opportunity to be of service and we apologize for any inconvenience this matter may have caused.Sincerely,T. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I i did receive the $33 credit for the 3rd VIP box they cancelled in violation of their agreement with me, but I still have not received the missing magazine issues ( May * and **)-- I had to call them again yesterday to request this.Further, The $10 coupon they sent for the missing item in the 2nd box is not acceptable as it requires me to make an additional purchase of a product on the People site.  This is another outrageous violation of multiple consumer laws. A consumer should not be required to make an additional purchase for something they already paid for!!  People has not kept their end of the bargain here which is why I requested a full refund; I have spent many valuable hours of my time fighting for what I was already pronised. that I should not have had to spend.

It is time to move on.  However, I do have a check made to People Magazine for $49.00, which is likely the business rate.  I have another for $29, both within the last year.  People magazine was, indeed, paid for the magazine.  Paid based on the subscription renewal sent to me in mail.  They can also look at almost 30 years of subscription and see that it was always paid.  Thank you for your help.  I am thrilled to have this monkey off my back.  [redacted]

[redacted] does not provide online access for customers.  However, it appears [redacted] was able to speak with the customer service reps in charge of [redacted] accounts Christian and Daniel.  According to our records, [redacted] is part of the Southern Living Annual Recipes series which served Annual Recipes books every year: October **, 2013, October **, 2014, December **, 2015, August **, 2016.  For order number [redacted] ($42.91), [redacted] made a payment of $16.99 which left a balance of $25.92.  In addition, order number [redacted] ($42.91) has not been paid.  The total balance due on the account is $68.83.In any event, I have instructed our customer service team to cancel the account balance due and any further billing efforts.  [redacted] may keep all the books she has received with our compliments.Sincerely,Betsy L[redacted], Time Inc.
