  My credit card was credited back although I would have liked to continue to receive this magazine and only wanted the missing issue really.  I did receive an issue of Entertainment Weekly by [redacted]  but it does not look like below although says Fall TV Preview double issue  so I am not sure complaint IS resolved & I see no way to respond to the message other than saying it’s unresolved. I am attaching a picture of the cover of the issue I have been trying to receive in hopes you can send this on as no one seems to understand what issue I am referring to.  Thank you nswer Here]

checked our records and found that the order was placed in response to a renewal offer (sample attached) on July **, 2013, which was part of an automatic renewal program.  Customers are informed of the terms of the offer when they respond to the promotion.  Under the terms of the program, the subscription would continue unless we are notified to cancel.  Consumers are never under any obligation to renew and may cancel at any time.  In fact, a reminder is sent to consumers several weeks prior to renewal in order to give them an opportunity to cancel the subscription before their account is charged or billed.  As stated in the promotion, the subscription would be renewed unless we received notification to cancel.  Therefore, the COOKING LIGHT subscription renewed on September 9, 2015 for $24. In any event, we have cancelled the COOKING LIGHT subscription including further billing efforts.  In addition, we have added [redacted] to our Do Not Promote list.If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to contact me directly.Sincerely,Betsy L[redacted], Time Inc.

Dear [redacted]:We are in receipt of the complaint filed by [redacted] with your office regarding COOKING LIGHT magazine, a Time Inc. publication.  I appreciate this opportunity to respond.I would like to begin by offering apologies to [redacted] for the troubles she may have encountered...

while trying to resolve this matter.  Our records show that the attached Gift Subscription Renewal order was returned to our office via U.S. Mail; and in accordance with the terms of the subscription card, orders and/or renewals were processed on December **, 2014, for $67, to serve the following: [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted].  As you see on the order card, the "Bill me later" option was selected.  We have no record that payment was received.Since were are only able to service an unpaid account for a limited time, the delivery service was suspended March **, 2015.  However, we continued to send billing providing [redacted] the opportunity to continue the subscription or notify us to cancel.  We suggest that, in order to resolve this matter, [redacted] provide us with a copy of the front/back of the canceled check.Please note that prior to the above mentioned December 2014 order, [redacted] had an existing gift order for [redacted] which was processed which processed on March **, 2014, for 12 issues @ $18.  The delivery service included the May *, 2014, issue through the copy dated April *, 2015.  The March 2014 order was paid in full via credit card on March **, 2014.I apologize for any inconvenience this matter may have caused and appreciate this opportunity to be of service.Sincerely,T. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.  It is not stated anywhere in the promotional materials for the magazine that a payment received in September will not yield a magazine until January.  Further, when Mary Heid called to inquire about the status of the magazine, she was told she would likely receive the magazine by March or April.  At that point [redacted] cancelled the subscription.  When I then called to follow up on the refund, I was initially told it would take "one or two billing cycles" to receive my refund.  Since the handling of this matter was unacceptable at that point, I reported the issue to the Revdex.com.  The issue was then resolved properly - I received a refund of my payment, and [redacted] received the "good faith" issues of the magazine as indicated by the publisher.  Thank you for your assistance in the handling of this matter.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I appreciate the refund of the items I did not receive, even though I have had to fight for what I was rightfully owed every step of the way.  Aside from all of the valuable time I lost fighting this matter with Time Inc/People Magazine, which time goes uncompensated, [redacted] statement that Time Inc always conducts their advertising ethically and honestly is blatantly untrue; this company has had other recent complaints about deceptive advertising and practices brought to light by NAD that still are not corrected.  I feel sorry for all of the other VIP People subscriber consumers out there who are not aware of consumer protection laws and accepted the mere $10 for a box they did not receive when the value per People magazine's own advertising valued the boxes at $33 each.  This company knew what they were doing when they made the decision to short change consumers and they are clearly more concerned about their own bottom line than treating their customers "honestly and ethically".  The actions speak for themselves here: Time Inc is abusing consumers in clear violation of Section 5 of the FTC Act.  As I stated in my last response,  I do not wish to engage in further discourse in this forum; I do not want money from this; I want all VIP People subscribers consumers like me to be rightfully and fairly treated.  I will take this up further with the FTC and the plaintiff's class action lawyer pursuing this matter on behalf of other VIP People subscribers.  I appreciate the Revdex.com's efforts in this matter and for providing a forum to bring this injustice caused by People Magazine/ Time inc. to light.
