Matrix Bath completed a shower remodel as promised. They arrived when they were scheduled and stayed until he job was done. The installers were very professional and did a good job. Any issues were quickly resolved and the shower looks great.

Thank you for the positive review and we appreciate your business and the opportunity to have served you. If you need anything do not hesitate to call! Thank you again!

I recently had a new shower put in by Matrix and I LOVE it! The men who did the work were not only polite and respectful but new what they were doing. Nothing was half axx done. It was all explained to me how it was going down from beginning to end. The show walls are warm as well as the shower floor and it feel like a spa. I would recommend MATRIX to any searching for a new shower and/or bath.

Matrix basement solutions did a great job of giving us piece of mind from beginning until the end of construction. They were very accurate with the timing of their work, and everything worked out great. I would recommend doing business with them to anyone interested in finishing their basement. The final product looked amazing

On May 15, 2018 we signed a contract with Matrix salesman Carter *** for Matrix to perform a tub to shower conversion at our home and paid half of the amount of $7,550 which came out to $3775.00. Carter mentioned that there would be a 'real contract' that would be signed once Jim arrived. On May 28th, 2018 Matrix GM Jim W. arrived at our home to take measurements, after which he gave me as well as input in his calendar ledger the dates of 6/13/2018 and 6/14/2018 of when the work was to be performed and completed. Matrix workers failed to show up on 6/13/2018. When I called Jim to inquire, he mentioned that our work was not put on the company’s schedule. We then agreed to reschedule on 6/14/2018 for workers to perform the work. On, 6/14/2018. I called Jim early in the morning, and he reiterated that the workers were on the way. My wife called Jim around 10:30am to inquire about the whereabouts of the workers and was told by Jim that he could not reach the workers and would call us back in 10 minutes, which he failed to do. My wife called back two hours later before when he told her that the work would not be performed. I called Jim shortly thereafter and told him that I wanted to cancel the contract. Jim told me that he was not in the office but would call me back the next day, Friday 6/15/2018 to discuss the contract, which he failed to do. My wife called Jim on 6/22/2018 to inquire about cancellation and get a refund, which Jim said he would process the refund on 6/25/2018 and call her back by 10:00 am. Jim never called back. Received a called from GM Brian *** on 6/29/18. He gave me a story about Jim having dementia and his family having dementia while trying to retain our business. I told Brian that I simply wanted a refund, which he told me he would speak with the owner and call me back on 7/2/2018. He did not call back. Carter called me back a week later to try to get us to commit to a new date, which I also refused.

We or our attorney will reach out to Mr. immediately to address this issue.

Simply put, we have the materials in stock, ordered and paid for in order to fulfill this installation and the terms of our agreement. If it weren't for time and money invested thus far it would be easier to simply refund Mr. his deposit and walk away from this project. However, we do have the materials and have money and time invested into this project that we cannot recoup should Mr. refuse to accept a new installation date and for that reason it complicates this matter. We still stand ready, willing and able to complete this project per the terms of our agreement.

We DID have issues that were outside of our control and unforeseen circumstances that led to a rescheduled installation date. We do not have a "time is of the essence" clause in our agreement that speaks to those circumstances one way or the other. Generally under these circumstance, we work amicably with the client to find a resolution. We have tried this now several times and Mr. stands firm on his desires to a full refund. Therefore, we will turn this over to our attorney to handle the balance of the liquidation.

Thank you!

I am rejecting this response because:

An agreement is currently in progress but have not yet been finalized. I received a letter from Matrix Bath attorney on 7/17/2018 (please see attached letter). Called Matrix Attorney Mrs. Courtney *** on 7/18/18 and received a call back later that afternoon. We discussed parameters for which Matrix Bath would perform work. In addition to 5% off of the total job cost as noted in the letter, I also requested the following: 1. An amendment to the existing contract that specifies the new discounted cost of the job specified in their letter as well as the dates in which this will take place. 2. Due to Brian ***'s admission of their former employee having dementia, I also requested that the bathroom wet area be remeasured to ensure that the materials that Matrix have for installment of the shower will perform fit and function.

We received a call the afternoon of 7/18/2018 from Matrix Op Supervisor requesting to come by and take measurements on my existing bath. I set up a date of 7/20/18 in the afternoon but also asked about the amended contract. He mentioned that he did not hear about an amended contract. I called Mrs. back on 7/18/18 late in the afternoon and left a message stating my concerns. Courtney *** called back the next morning 7/19/2018 and she talked with both my wife and I. We requested an amended contract that will include the 5% discount and also the dates of when the work will be performed is on hand with Matrix Ops Supervisor/representative before we allow them to re-take measurements on the bathroom. Courtney *** mentioned that she would be on a conference call with Brian *** later that morning, communicate our request/concerns, and we would hear back from them soon.

Sincerely,

Marcus

I had Matrix finish my basement about 4 years ago. Recently, we had a pipe burst causing some damage. Following our insurance quote, we called Matrix to provide an estimate for repairs. The first appointment was canceled 1 hour prior due to "unforeseen circumstances". After a week and escalations, someone came out to review the damage for the estimate. Originally, they told me $50 an hour and wanted me to agree based on just that...In texting with Matrix, they gave me the quote total which was far below the insurance estimate. In asking to see a written estimate, I have been given pushback and responses that I should just trust them as the guy doing the work has been there for years. I am not quite certain in what world anyone would agree to contractor work without a written scope and signed agreement. I don't do business on a handshake and I don't have a lot of confidence in the professionalism and trustworthiness of the organization. It shouldn't be this difficult to work with a company that boasts quality and customer service. I would suggest looking elsewhere for your remodeling needs.

Matrix did a great job from the first time I filled out the inquiry form on line. They did just what they said they would. The product is a superior quality. It's the best room in our house.

We had Terry come out and offer us solutions that were within our budget to redo our bathtub and shower. Jim came out and did the measurements. The two gentlemen who installed my Luxury Bathtub and Shower were very professional hard workers. They kept me in the loop on the progress of my job. They stayed until the bathroom was complete. They promised to come back in two days to recaulk my other bathroom and showed up as promised and completed all the work to my satisfaction. Our bathroom looks beautiful! I highly recommend Vitoli and his co-worker to get the job done.

I had a bathtub/shower installed in April 2017. The installer did not connect the drain and a large amount of water leaked into the ceiling of my downstairs family room. The ceiling had to be removed. They came out to fix it multiple times, which meant I needed to be home each time, and throughout the repair, they proceeded to damage my couches and coffee table & end tables by getting paint all over them. The company has promised to give me a partial refund. This process started in the summer of 2017. I have yet to receive $1 of the money that they have promised. I have email and texts from Jim Winski from the company and the story always changes. He's promised me it'll be "tomorrow" about 10 different times in the last 6 months. I've asked repeatedly for the owners contact information, but haven't been given that. I've contacted corporate twice with no resolution. I've tried to contact the number listed for the local offices, but no one answers or returns calls.

Terri,

We are very sorry this has happened. As discussed, Luxury Bathrooms didn't know an employee agreed to provided you with a refund were completely unaware of the issue. Once I found out about the issue I resolved the matter within a couple of days and have since confirmed you have received the promised refund. Unfortunately, if I would have known about this earlier I would have resolved the matter sooner and prevented any undue stress or negative reviews. I'm sorry this has happened and know the employee is no longer with our firm.

Feel free to email or call me with any questions.

Thanks

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I would not use this business in the future. If an owner does not know what their employees are doing, that is a problem. The owner approached me daily after posting reviews on Revdex.com, ***, and *** to remove my posts. Even offered to send me a gift card for a spa or dinner if I removed it. I did remove the posts (because I was sick of the texts and calls from him) but did not accept payment for doing that. I'm very glad to be done with this business.

Sincerely,

Terri
