Matrix hasn't completed our basement project which started May 9, 2017. We have not had a walk through with the construction manager as promised. He told us to put sticky notes on areas that we wanted addressed and then we would have a walk through. We placed the notes but didn't get a walk through. Workers were finally sent to do the work. Everything didn't get done; such as the ceiling repaint (its already peeling), trimming not finished and no covers for the new vent openings. We were told this project would take 5 weeks and its nearly 16 weeks with no resolution. The construction manager said he would stop by to take a look but has not. I have reached out to others at Matrix but no reply. Throughout this project, we have been the one to contact the construction manager to find out when things would be done. There were often times when no work would be done for days or a week at a time and we had to follow up. Also, twice we applied for the free 50" led tv that's still being advertised to new customers and again have had no response.

We had Matrix install an expensive basement system. This had a 50 yr warranty. Recently we noted several walls were bubbling. We contacted Matrix March, 2017 and a supervisor came to inspect. He agreed that there was no foundation leak and had no explanation for the problem. He said when they had manpower available they would repair it. A crew came in mid-July and felt that the problem was humidity. They did some work, but then their management said that humidity was our problem and they would charge us for any further work. We have given up on them. We feel that they did not honor their warranty. We also question if their product is capable if it cannot stand humidity from a typical Chicago mid-July season.

We are currently working on a solution to this complaint. All Matrix projects come with a 50 year Matrix panel and a 1 year craftsmanship warranty. We identified this repair was a result of humidity levels in the basement which Mr Boyl agreed, and isn't covered under our warranty. We had a customer send in a complaint about our company, before speaking with their spouse to find out that we were already in discussions to have the problem corrected. I hope to have this complaint retracted and removed from the Revdex.com next early next week.

Please....anyone reading this...DO NOT use this company!! Brian especially is the most unreliable person I have ever worked with! He makes promises he cannot keep! We were promised the work we wanted done would take 4 to 6 weeks....it took over 8 weeks and the estimate we were given came out to be over 2,000 dollars higher! There were days and even weeks that no workers showed up! We failed 4 inspections based on the work that had been done. Finally, without Brian here we passed inspection but found out in the end that we had to pay an extra 200.00! The subcontractors do a good job, but with Brian in charge...they fall short...he cant keep promises and we are still waiting for minor things with no return phone calls....since MARCH!!! My neighbors still ask to this day how long it has taken to get the job done! Hoe embarassing!!

He stated in his presentation that "the installation of our neo shower enclosure would take 1 - 2 days. We scheduled an inhome presentation on March 28 2017. Presentation completed *** saw the bath area where the work would be done. He re-affirmed a 1 - 2 day install. Note I indicated that I previously worked for a competing company and knew the process. I asked him if that time frame was correct. He said yes. We signed the initial contract for 9547.00 with a 500.00 deposit then additional amount totaling 12 the initial deposit of 4523.00. We were told to expect a call within 2 weeks for a technision to do measurements and review the job. We called the company after not being contacted for 3 weeks and of which the 4523.00 deposit had been applied to the finance account. 4th week of April the tech showed up did measurements and took pictures. Another 2 weeks past and we were called for a demo and install. Worker took out old shower put up new wall board and told us it would be 2 weeks linger until the glass enclosure is available. The glass arrived and the measurements were wrong. Another 2 weeks until shower material arrives. At this point we are without a shower for our main bathroom for over 5 weeks. What if this was our only bathroom shower Through ongoing complaints frustration and embarrasment we are given a new contract for 8000.00. Not acceptable. We are offered a new tile floor we buy the material. 2 weeks more pass then we get the new tile. We are left without a toilet 2 times for 5 - 9 days. New material comes in installed but not complete. It leaks missing third shelf and safety rail. Ceiling is gauged during wall enclosure installation during demo and wall replacement. It is 7717 and the job is not complete.

Between these two dates I have attempted to contact the business a minimum of 10 times. On at least 8 of those attempts no one responded to my call. I found out later that the phone number they give is a answering service and the address is a warehouse where there is not any kind of office . (This information was given to me by the woman answering the phone at the answering service). On 2 occasions someone was scheduled to come to our home. Both occasions no one showed up nor followed up with a call about why they didn't come. Each time I have had to try to get ahold of someone which again ends up with calls not being answered. I need the job finished.
