I just had to write a review which I usually do not do. We were driving when our tire alert went on saying that a tire was at 9lbs, yes 9! We were about 5 miles away from Mavis so we called and was hoping we can just bring the car in right away. They said sure, so we did with the hopes we wouldn't have to wait too long. Well, they were so courteous and the wait was just a few minutes! They took it in, found a screw in the tire, patched us up and we were on our way! Koodos to Mavis, we will be back for all car needs. I am writing to let you know how pathetic the service was over a month ago.  I wanted to wait before writing more because I wanted to make certain I was not overreacting. Not only was the service ridiculously long, but poor to say the least.First, I called on a Monday and they stated that the tires would have to be brought from another location.  The tires would be there on Tuesday and they would call me and get me in.  Ok, no problem.  After most of the morning and part of the afternoon I called them to see if they had gotten the tires and still fit me in that day.  The person answering the phone was put out that I called and said the tires were there but they were too busy to fit me in.  Strike one - broken word/lie.  He told me that Wednesday would work best just bring it in first thing in the morning.I got there at 7:30 Wednesday morning.  They open at 8:00.  After a few in front of me (why I have no idea since I was told I was the first one previously), they started on my new tires.  They had given me a quote on Monday for approx. $750 out the door with my oil change and new tires (taxes included).  I thought ok, great deal even if I had to wait a day.  After waiting most of the morning I inquired about my car around 9:30 since they told me it would only be approx. and hour and a half work.  I live approx. 45 minutes away and it was a work day for me too.  They said around 11:00 after my inquiry - ok frustrated but waiting in the dirty waiting room was the only option with other very frustrated clients.  Some were loud in their frustration...so guess it wasn't just me.At 11:00 I inquire again.  Tires were just being put on.  They got them placed by 11:30 I said is it complete?  They said we have a problem with the oil filters - they guy who ordered them ordered the wrong type - we've put two on your car and it doesn't fit and the oil pours all over the ground and we are cleaning it up for the 2nd time.  Ok, strike two - incompetence.They stated they would have to go to Napa Auto across the street to get me an oil filter.  So, supposedly they did.  Then the one of the fellows asks the gentlemen outside if he can go ahead and cash me out.  He stated yes.  It came to over $850 - WHAT?!?!?  No reason.  Strike three - lie again.Fine!  Get it done quickly I said.  No anger in my voice but frustration.  They supposedly get the oil filter on and the oil changed (I say supposedly due to my next point below!) And, the guy comes back in - did you want the alignment?  WHAT?!?!  Yes, I've been billed out - well I can reduce it by $30 but I need to run it to get you the alignment - HORRIBLE!  Fine I said agitated!They take all of 15 minutes to align it and it's complete.End of bad mechanic story right - NOPE!  A month later here I am the last two day I see on my 2017 Ford Flex that it says change engine oil soon.  I just thought it needed to be reset again...?  Maybe right?  Well, turns out my car is WAAAY smarter than your mechanics - I opened the hood today (a few days later) and the oil is dark as if it hasn't been replaced.  Strike 4 - do we get 4 strikes in baseball?  No, neither do horrible establishments - NEVER going back and looking into contacting an attorney or small claims.Good Riddance MAVIS. Patch for a tire with a nail in it
I had to get a patch for a tire with a nail in it at the Mavis Tire at 1326 Jordan Street in Athens, Ga. Phil was absolutely wonderful and very helpful. They did the patch in a short amount of time, and I was on my way. I will now be getting my oil change, tire rotation, and new tires from the guys at Mavis tire on Jordan Street in Athens, GA. Thank you so much!

Remove nail from tire
Had a fabulous experience at the Hackettstown Mavis Tire. I was in the area on business, which was an hour drive away from my home. I realized I had a nail in my tire and needed it plugged. They were extremely busy, with all bays full, but the gentleman at the desk was so accommodating and squeezed me in between the customers. I am sorry I did not get his name, but he was also not from the area and had awesome hair and beard. He realized my stress level, and made it as painless as possible for me. Thank you so much!

The estimate obtained at the customer's body shop was over $more than the estimate obtained at the second body shopThe only damages Mavis is responsible for is the customer's Rear bumperThe customer's estimate from the body shop he chose added in unnecessary repairs such as: new rear lamps, new rear body and floor work, quarter panel work, back glass as well as rocker panels which are on the sides of the vehicleMavis is happy to repair the damages that we caused the customerWe instructed the customer if he could obtain a rear bumper estimate from the body shop he chose, we would be happy to send him there, but we will not be paying for the excessThank you
