We have in our records the customer calling us on at 11:am expressing his concern that the alignment we did was never done correctly because the dealer told him that they supposedly noticed his front left lower control arm was "loose"He then went on to mention that he was upset that they broke his lug nuts in his wheels and his rims were scratched up (even the the customer was warned that damage may occur and told us to go ahead and do it anyway.) it was at that time that the regional rich authorized that the alignment would be re-done and that he could bring the car in at his convenience so that we could take a look at the scratches he was speaking of

Unfortunately, the customer's description of curb rash is inaccurateThe Regional District manager as well as director have already reviewed the photos of the wheels multiple times and came to the same conclusionthere was one wheel they were unable to definitively say was not caused by our machine, therefore we are happy to repair it for the customerThe wheels were not brand new and we cannot replace themMavis/STS is happy to repair the one wheel that we discussed with the customerThat is all we are able to dothank you

Mavis/STS cannot refund a customer for a purchase on one card, then re bill them on another at a later dateThis will open our business to fines associated with fraud as our receipts must be made at the time of purchaseThere is no way for us to do this we apologizeThank you

According to our records Regional Manager James informed the customer that she can have the brakes done elsewhere and once she returns our parts he will issue her a refund of the brake service done with usThank you

Regional Manager, Steve investigated this issue extensively Upon review of our audio & video footage from Wednesday May ** from 4:55pm to 6pm we notified customer from the minute she told us the issue that it was not that a radio would stop working after the vehicle was jumped unless there was a possible bigger issueWe only offered to check fuses and the customer told us that she opened the fuse box in the engine bay and had left the cover offupon review, we found the radio fuse had blown and was melted touching the fuse to the fuel pumpwhen we pulled the radio fuse and installed a new one, that fuse immediate popped againwe then found that the vehicle would not start so we pulled the fuel pump fuse next to the radio fuse which then had a prong brake upon pullingwe replaced both but vehicle still did not startwe brought the fuses to her in the showroom and confirmed she has a bigger issue and we may not be able to fix itmost likely there is a wiring issue or when the vehicle was jumped the cables were crossedwe explained that this must have been a prior issue Customer denied having any prior issues, we tried to tell the customer that we would happily wave any labor charges for the diagnostic we had done as a courtesy but that we couldnt do anything further because we didnt cause this issueshe said that wasn't enoughUnfortunately, Mavis is not in any way responsible for the customer's vehicle not runningThank you

I asked for your advice regarding my rights in this matterThis company was negligent any way you look at itThey allowed me to leave their shop before the brake problem was resolved, putting my life and the lives of others at riskSaying that there was no one hurt does not constitute a defense for their negligenceThey claim that they took a test drive following service and there was no problemI'm sorry, but that's not good enoughThe brakes failed upon driving several miles, and they failed because there was negligence on the part of their employeeIn fact, the manager of the shop could not apologize enough when I had to bring it back to his shop because of the shoddy work done by their mechanic, whether or not "Gary" wants to admit it.Now as far as the recommended brake fluid flush they claim I refused, I have no recollection of thatThe invoice they gave me in February does say "recommend power steering flush" on the first page and then "continued..." with the second page reflecting the words "brake fluid flush"(I gave you a copy of both invoices from February and August for your records)I doubt that proves that they actually looked at the brakes and it also does not prove that they actually communicated this to me verballyWhy would I ask them to check the brakes, and then refuse a brake fluid flush? Further I highly doubt that not having a brake fluid flush in February was the reason for the brakes being a complete wreck in August, and thus a $1,200+ billWhen the manager of the shop told me of the cost I showed him a copy of the February invoice which plainly states "customer states check brakes" with no cost listedHis response to me was that "that is why the person in February no longer works there" and that "he wasn't doing everything he was supposed to do"Those are direct quotes from the manager of the shop on August [redacted] and I think he must have had some knowledge for him to make themWhat are my rights here? I cannot physically prove there was or wasn't a problem with the brakes in February (although they DID seem rather loose to me)All I can show is how bad they were in AugustCan driving 5,miles really cause that much damage? Did "Gary" actually see the brakes in February? Mavis has taken ownership of damage to the customers bumperOur Regional District Manager, Ariel, contacted the customer and has since arranged to have the bumper repaired on October **, Mavis will also refund the customer at the store for the cost of the balancing and alignment of the tire Mavis sincerely apologizes for any inconvenienceWe are happy that we could resolve this for the customer and hope to do business with her in the futureThank you

There is no reason to remove any of these parts as proven by the estimate provided by the second body shopPlease see attached, the estimate obtained for over $less for the same work to be doneWe have had numerous cars repaired at this facility and all were extremely satisfiedThis is the amount of work necessary to repair damages caused by our storeAgain, if customer can obtain an estimate for the rear bumper ONLY or have the work done at the body shop we've attached, then we will be happy to have the work done for himThank you
