Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [Two separate locations have failed the repairs on this vehicle, requiring re-workThe car was inspected and passed inspection while still unsafeFour months went by without so much as a word from a corporation that makes millions of dollars in relation to problems that were associated with this, extra costs incurred from missed work, due to their failure, or even an apology$check was received on March [redacted] and has been placed in an envelope to go back to the corporation$dollars is far from unacceptable, as was told to the Regional Manager's and store managers of both locations, including a strut job that was paid for during all of these repairs, and just months later, miraculously the strut mounts just decided to fail, in which the tech at Mavis stated "I've never seen strut mounts so corroded." Don't you think if they were inspected the first time the car had struts put in they should have been replacedThis is a million dollar corporation doing shoddy work on customer vehicles, with shoddy inspection practices [redacted] location said they couldn't understand how the [redacted] location could have inspected the car and sent it on it's way with the issues it had, which means my twin year old girls, were being driven in an unsafe car.] In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

Revdex.com:At this time, I have not been contacted by Mavis Discount Tire regarding complaint ID [redacted] My last contact was when I spoke to the service center manager.Sincerely, [redacted] [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is not satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved with my insurance company helping me our I will not be going back to the business any more I see that they don't care nor take care of their customers this whole thing has been a big headache and very stressful I was talk that mavis will take care of everything but they didn't take care of anything so this is why I am accepting because I just want to be done with this like I said my business will be going somewhere else Sincerely, [redacted]

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Mavis Discount Tire regarding complaint ID [redacted] , however my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [Your Answer Here]I received a call from Mike B [redacted] , in which he left me a voicemail that he would reimburse me the $for the repair, plus give me a voucher for my troubles, and I should go to the shop on Tuesday When my fiance went to collect the reimbursement he was told by MrB [redacted] that a voucher would be issued for all - which is NOT what is stated on the saved voicemail He informed my fiance he needed to confirm our mailing address and it would take a week A voucher is unacceptable as it does not repay my limited income father the money he laid out for the repairs Nor does a voucher cover the charges against my credit card for the rental I required to retrieve the car, which he also promised I would be reimbursed for Not to mention the fact that it has been more than a week and no correspondence from Mavis has been received by mail, email or other Today a new representative called and left a message on my voicemail that I should reach out to him I returned his call and left him a message on his voicemail, telling him when I could be reached I have not received a return call at this time In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

[redacted] voucher can be used towards any serviceThe stores know to accept the credit vouchers for anything, not just tiresOn the voucher it says "towards any future service" then below it says "on tires that are in our company wide inventory only"This does not mean only tires, it means that if the customer should choose to use it for tires, those are the stipulationsAlso, the store will be calling the customer today to obtain a credit card number so that we may run his refund throughThank you

Customer visited the store in December complaining of something leaking on her vehicle. Customer works for advanced auto, she came to us with rack boots to have us install them to resolve the leak. We advised the customer verbally and on record that she would need her rack and pinions done soon. The... only work Mavis did was to install the rack boots that she provided us. Customer returned after the boots were installed complaining of the same leak. As a courtesy our regional offered to install the rack and pinion we had originally advised for cost only ($200). Customer didn't want to resolve the issue with the regional any further at that point and forwarded her concerns to the Attorney General. At this point, Mavis has to wait until we hear from them to take our next action. The offer of installing the rack and pinion for cost only ($200) still stands. Thank you

My complaint is against Mavis Discount Tire, 1275 Scenic Hwy, Lawrenceville, Georgia. This is a location that was formerly a Kauffman Tire store which always provided professional and excellent service. Unfortunately, even though it’s the same location, based on my experience, the professional and excellent service vanished with the Kauffman Tire name when it became a Mavis Discount Tire store.

I dropped off my vehicle in April 2019 to have tires rotated and alignment checked. Seven hours later I went to pick up my vehicle and the tires had not been rotated, as the same tire was on the front left wheel as when I dropped vehicle off (I immediately realized this as the brand of tire on the front left wheel was different than the tire brand on other three wheels). The assistant manager’s response was unprofessional when I brought this to his attention, but he had an employee rotate the tires while I waited.

Because I had purchased “road hazard” when I purchased the tires at Mavis, I returned to the same location in May 2019 to have the tires rotated and alignment checked again after a long road trip on rough roads. After the incident in April, I decided to "code" the tires with "White Out" markings so I could easily visually tell that tires had actually been rotated when I went to pick up the vehicle. Several hours later I received a phone call advising me that the work was complete, and the vehicle was ready to be picked up. Upon my arrival, I could immediately see that the tires had not been rotated as the “code” for each tire was on the wheel as when I took the vehicle to the store. I again pointed this out to the assistant manager and was surprised that he didn't say anything, but he had an employee rotate the tires while I waited. In addition, the alignment had not been checked. By this time, I was so disgusted that I did not want them to do the alignment and told them I would get that done elsewhere. Based on my experience, I will not be continuing my association with Mavis Discount Tire as I cannot trust their employees to properly service my vehicle.

I’m not happy that I’ll no longer be able to take advantage of the “free tire rotation” benefit of the road hazard with Mavis Discount Tire with the current set of tires, but at least I’ll know that the next shop I choose to transact business with will be one I’ve used in the past and does the work correctly in one visit with professionalism and excellent service.

I have been a Mavis customer for over 20 years and have been generally happy with their service. This has now changed. My tale of woe: The TPMS light kept coming on every few weeks, and after filling up with air, it immediately went out. I brought my car (a 2013 Toyota Prius model 3) into the Lawrence, NY location (facility # 7098624) on 8 June 2019 to have the tire checked for a leak and repaired. I was told that my TPMS was leaking around the stem and I needed an entirely new unit because the washer could not be replaced. I have since found out this to be false. I confirmed with the manager that Mavis would re-program the TPMS. After having Mavis replace the TPMS, the TPMS light remained on and I was told that it could take a day for it to turn off. Experience has shown that when I have filled a tire up in the past the light extinguishes within a minute. I bought the car back the next day with the light still on and was told it was never programmed. The TPMS system was re-programmed by Mavis, and the light went out, only to come back on within a week. I brought it back, it was reprogrammed, the light extinguished only to come back on within 2 days. I brought it back and was told it went back on because the tire pressure was low, Mavis filled the tire and the TPMS light stayed off for a day. Remember, I originally brought the car in because I suspected a leak in the tire. On 25 June 2019, when I got to my car at 4 AM to go to work, the tire was completely flat. Fortunately, I have an electric air pump and re-inflated the tire, drove an hour and 40 miles to work. I checked on the tire around noon and it was totally flat again. I called roadside assistance to install the spare, only to find out that the lug nut lock I was given back by Mavis was not mine, did not fit my lug nut lock and so the wheel could not be removed. Roadside assistance was able to plug the tire while on the car, which cost $30. As he rotated the tire to find the leak, it was obvious that something was inside the tire, banging around.
I returned to Mavis on 29 June and was told by the manager on duty (Travis) that he was only there temporarily, there was nothing he could do, and I needed to get in touch with corporate. When he tried to pull up my customer record, he could not find it. The previous manager put in my plate as a dealer plate, without a number. He also misspelled my name and put in the incorrect model number of my car (it is a 3, not a 5). This is the information from the invoice:
Work Order # 248834, Invoice # 637629, cash sale (even though it was a credit card sale), $124.90.
I have been in touch with the local Toyota dealer, who has a master key and can replace my wheel locks at a cost of around $120 for parts, labor and tax. I have called Mavis customer service to report this fiasco (ticket # 375934) and was told I would get a call back 2 July “at the latest”. Naturally, in keeping with Mavis’ fine customer service, I never got a call back.
This is what I expect from Mavis:
Refund of $123.90 for an unnecessary part and programming.
Payment of $120 for parts, labor and tax for Toyota to replace my wheel locks because Mavis lost my key.
Payment of $30 for the fixing of the leaking tire while on my car (which Mavis neglected to fix in the first place).
No charge to me for removal of the tire from the wheel to remove whatever is inside, re-balance and replace on car.
Total payment due me: $173.90

Customer is working with Regional manager, they no longer own the vehicle so we are waiting for documentation to understand where the vehicle is and what we could do to assist themthank you

We received *** ***'s complaint this morning via emailWe have forwarded it directly to the Regional District manager of that location who will be reaching out to the customer today for resolution

The brake flush was a part of the service quote that the customer authorizedOur Regional Manager, Carrissa, confirmed that the brake flush was absolutely performedWe are unsure why the manufacturer of the shocks is denying the customer a rebate, but Mavis Would be more than happy to send the customer a $check as a customer satisfaction to cover the rebate in addition to the $service voucher that was mailed out to the customer
