Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I have a complaint ID number -- it is [redacted] Also, please see the attached screen shot of the email from Microsoft Customer Service representative This person was helpful in making sure that my account was closed The issue I have is that your account web page has a "Disable Automatic Renewal of Account" button which a reasonable person would think effectively disables the account and prevents automatic re-charges to your credit card I used that function in early March to disable my account prior to the renewal date but the function did not work Microsoft renewed the charge on my credit card on or about March -- it has a day delay so you can't tell your card has been charged until after the period is over This gives Microsoft a day additional charge against your credit even though you were not using the software since you thought you had de-activated your account I used the Office software for a business trip and then de-activated it Microsoft has a system set up that appears to make this type of deactivation difficult -- it appears to do it when you go to the account website and then gives you a delayed charge when it automatically renews the account by charging your credit card again Action Requested: Please credit my account for the $you charged me for the period March - April 19, Also, please make sure you did not charge me for the period April through May 19, Thank you Sincerely, [redacted] ***
