Midway Nissan Reviews (383)

Midway Nissan was amazing. Honestly I didn't think it was possible for me to drive away with a car. I told them what I was needed and in recording timing, I was driving home in a brand new car. Completely exceeding my expectations.

Review: I refer a customer to the dealership and I am entitle to my referral fee as advertise. Instead of giving me the referral $500 Midway Nissan gives the money to the sale associate. It's been 2-3 months now where I didn't get a follow up call on my referral reward. I went to the dealership with my Uncle 8/31/15 to talk face to face. Waited for [redacted], Customer Service rep and he state rep early I will need to find the sale associate to get my referral reward because nissan paid him. I had nothing to do with this transaction as far as paper work so I don't know why I have to go "find" this associate when Nissan need to pay me and they find their own associate. My time, follow up and drive to the dealership is a huge inconvenience.Desired Settlement: I refer a customer to the dealership and I am entitle to my referral fee of $500 as advertise.

Response:

The Customer in question was referred to Midway Nissan by multiple sources. [redacted] who is not a salesperson or an employee of Midway Nissan, but a current customer was paid for the referral based on the information that we had from the deal. It appears that there is a dispute between [redacted] and [redacted] on who actually made the referral. When [redacted] arrived at the dealership, our Customer Service Director tried to explain that the referral fee had been paid to [redacted] became belligerent and disruptive on the sales floor and was asked to leave the dealership. We regret that [redacted] is unhappy, but the referral money was paid out and do not intend to make a second $500.00 payment. Sincerely,[redacted]Compliance Director Midway Nissan

Great experience and customer service. I have received everything I was promised. And I sent my son there recently and he bought a car too.

Review: I had originally signed for a deal for this vehicle which included several add-ons, one of which was the [redacted] protection. I considered submitting a scam report for this as they told me there was no way to purchase a vehicle from them without purchasing the $1,000 [redacted] exterior paint protection contract. I fought them over this, first because I know the price is extremely inflated, and secondly because this is something I did not want at all but after being told I could either not purchase the truck or purchase the truck with the $1,000 [redacted] exterior protection. I agreed to that deal and signed the paperwork, although completely upset and angry with the dealership I was satisified with the truck I was purchasing.

I then received a call from the dealership to come down and re-sign my paperwork since the bank ([redacted] Auto Finance) had accepted the deal. I was on my lunch break and came down and signed the paperwork in under a few minutes, I was not told nor was it reviewed with me that they would be adding an additional $500 [redacted] interior protection plan in addition to the $1,000 [redacted] exterior protection.

After getting home and seeing that they had done this, and they way they did this without my knowledge was that the percentage rate on my interest had dropped just slightly so my payment was actually lower than it was on my original paperwork. Had I seen an increase in the cost of monthly payments or an increase in the total purchase price I would have in no way agreed to these additional add-ons.

I called the dealership and spoke with the customer service directer, [redacted] and reviewed my concerns with him. A finance manager, who identified himself as "**", reviewed my deal and identified the discrepancy I expressed my concern that this was never disclosed to me and I did not want to agree to that. He offered to take my truck back and cancel the deal, I told him that was unacceptable and that I fought very hard with the dealership to come to a deal that I was just barely able to agree to, 99.9% of the buying decision was based on the fact that I was able to get approved through [redacted] at the percentage rate I did and the only reason I got that approval was based on the age, mileage, and type of vehicle I was purchasing or I would have walked away. After discussing it deeper he admitted that they have a contract with [redacted] and cannot sell a vehicle without it, I said I would live with the $1,000 exterior protection but the sneaky way that the $500 additional interior protection was added was unacceptable. He verbally agreed to pay the $500 fee back to [redacted] One for my loan.

That conversation occurred over a month ago, I have called the dealership several times since and spoke with [redacted] who has either transferred me to "**"s voicemail or told me that I can expect a call back. I have not received a call back and there have been no payments to my loan.

I have both copies of my loan documents, the original version with the slightly higher interest and the one they had me re-sign telling me it was identical with the additional add-ons.Desired Settlement: If Midway Nissan wants any chance of saving my business they should cancel both the [redacted] products and give me a refund, however, since I did actually sign and reluctantly agree to the exterior protection I cannot expect to have that refunded. However, I do expect that they honor their verbal agreement and pay the additional $500 interior protection fee back to my lender ([redacted] Auto Finance).

Response:

Midway Nissan actually surprised me here by going above and beyond what I thought was acceptable as a resolution. They completely cancelled out the additional products that I was charged for and gave a full refund to my lender. Thank you for making things right and I will now give Midway another chance and bring my business back to them.

Review: I purchased a vehicle during a tent sale at a nearby mall on April 5, 2014. I purchased a 2011 Kia Sportage. My salesman's name was [redacted]. My closer's name was [redacted]. The finance agent's name was [redacted]. During the event, I was promised that I would get a full car detail and $1,200 to help me with my payments for the first couple of months on the car. After sitting for hours on end and finally signing papers, I drove off only to have the battery die and my tire pressure indicator light turn on. I was stranded away from home and had to get a jump. The next day, I called the dealership and alerted them to my issues. They told me to bring the car back to the tent sale and they would fix any problems. I brought the car in, they purchased a new battery and it seemed as though the tire issue had been resolved as well because the light was not on when my car was returned to me. A few days later, I receive a call from Mr. [redacted] telling me to come in and sign some final papers from the bank that financed my car. I arrive at the dealership and Mr. [redacted] was unavailable, so I was shown to another gentleman who never gave me his name. This gentleman basically reprinted every single form I had alreaday signed at the event. When I asked him why I was signing new papers, he informed me that the interest rate originally promised was not approved by the bank. Ok, no problem. I ask about the $1,200 I was promised, as well as the detail on my car that I was promised. He informs me that the check would be a few more days because they needed to get final approval and I would get the check in the mail. A few more days later, I get another call from a gentleman named Juan who tells me that they cannot find the form I signed that promised me the $1,200 and that I need to come in and fill out another one. This is now my third trip into the dealership, and when I arrive I am shown to yet another gentleman who does not give me his name. Once again, he is reprinting the exact same paperwork I had already signed twice now. I asked him why I was signing new papers, he said because there had been changes to my agreement. I ask what kind of changes, he said that the $1,200 check I was promised would be added to the principal balance of my loan. I ask would my payment be lower, he said no. I leave in utter frustration. About 2 weeks later, I receive a phone call from the bank informing me that the dealership had padded charges onto my purchase. This is ridiculous. They informed me that it was not the first time the dealership had done that and if I could please send photos to prove what I received is different from what they charged me for. After investigating, the dealership turns over approximately $1,000 and this is added to my principal balance, bringing my payments down. I ask the woman if they had sent over the $1,200 I had been told would be applied, she checked and replied no but that as soon as it came through it would be applied. I find the dealings at this dealership underhanded and shady. They purposely misled me, deceived me, and ripped me off. And on top of all this, yesterday my tire pressure indicator light came on again, which tells me that they only temporarily fixed the issue and now I need new tires less than a month after purchasing the vehicle.Desired Settlement: I definitely want to be given what I was promised- a check in the amount of $1,200. I also want my tires to be replaced and my car detailed as promised. My time is valuable to me, and I am truly appaled at the service received from this dealership. For this, I feel they should make the first 2 payments on my car for wasting my time, ($800). For a total reimbursement of $2,000 plus the repairs and detail on my vehicle.

Review: We got approved for a loan for a 2014 Nissan versa note car .We needed to pay the down payment on it . I talked to a sales man Chris who gave me til the 20th of August to come up with the money and before we knew it they are knocking on our door the same evening taking the car back from us .Desired Settlement: We feel we were plagued as dead beats and want payment arrangements to pay the money owed .At the time of purchase my husband had started this new job and the job ended up being a scam of some sore and he told them this. He just today got hired to start working in a factory that he will earn $12 an hour and we can make payments against the down payment we owed .

Or even better since they screwed us out of the car they should eat the down payment and continue with financing since the bank already agreed to loan me the money.

August 7, 2013RE: #[redacted] We are in receipt of the complaint filed by Mr. [redacted] regardinghis experience at Midway Nissan. Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] purchased a 2014 Versa on June 21, 2013. Mr.[redacted] indicated on the credit application that he was employed. Thisinformation was sent to one of our lenders and Mr. [redacted] was approved for theloan based on his credit worthiness. Atthe time of purchase, Mr. [redacted] also wrote a check from his personal accountfor the down payment of the vehicle. Subsequently, the check was returned from the bank for insufficientfunds. Our staff made numerous attemptsto contact the [redacted]’s to resolve the situation. Our repeated messages were never returned. The dealership had no recourse but to take the vehicle back. It was at this time the dealership was informed Mr. [redacted] was notemployed as stated on his credit application. With that being said, the lender rescindedthe loan approval. It is required by federal law that the lender be notified ofany changes regarding the credit application. Failure to provide notificationwould be considered as bank fraud, for which the dealership would beresponsible. Mr. [redacted] was not charged for the time they had the vehicle6/21/2013 thru 8/2/2013. Section 10 of the “Retail Buyer’s Order” states thatif financing is not obtained the Dealership may charge the greater of $.30 permile or $20.00 a day for the use of the vehicle. in this case, we could have charged Mr.[redacted] $880.00 for the time he had the vehicle. We did not pursue thesecharges. Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. Sincerely, [redacted]Compliance Officer – Midway Nissan

August 19, 2013As stated in our previous correspondence there is nothing more that we can do. The original lender has cancelled their offer of financing and we were unable to obtain financing from another lender under Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]'s current credit situation. We realize there are economic challenges and that bad things happen to good people. With that spirit in mind, we try to help our customers as much as we can. But there are times we are unable to obtain financing for a customer based on their credit worthiness.Sincerely,[redacted]Midway Nissan - Compliance Director

I had been at 3 other dealers in the Phoenix area and this dealer was the first one that beat the price they said they would on the phone. Others had all those "hidden" fees and low trade values, etc. 3rd Nissan Rogue now and while I love the vehicle, I would have gone elsewhere with another brand until I met Hector and Mossy at Midway Nissan!

I had the best experience with my sales rep. very understanding and patient with his customers. I would recommend Scott S[redacted] to anyone that is looking to buy a new car. he is awesome and took very good care of us thru the whole process. He even stayed late until we signed all of the papers. Glad that we have met him when we wanted to buy a new car and if anyone is looking for a new car and goes to Midway ask for Scott S[redacted].

[redacted] was very hepful! Love my new X-Terra!

Review: In 8/2015 I inquired about a Nissan 370Z on [redacted]. I received email correspondence and phone calls soon after from several car dealers including Midway Nissan. I ended up not purchasing a car and eventually the contact with the dealerships stopped accepts for Midway Nissan. Over the course of the a few weeks I received at least 2 calls a day every day from Midway Nissan some times after 9pm. I also received Text messages and email. I responded by both email and text top lease stop contacting me as I was no longer interested in a car. Both email and text were from a rep named Bryant . He stated they would no longer contact me. A day or so after that I received another call from Midway Nissan so I texted Bryant again and informed him that this would be the third time I am requesting them to stop contacting me. He texted back again that this would stop. I kept receiving calls to I called them back and spoke to Bryant and explained again that I am not interested in a car and to please stop contacting me. This did not stop the contact as over the next 6 months I have consistently received at least 4 calls a month regarding my interest in a 370Z. I have tried complaining to Truecare but have not been contacted. On 12/24/2015 my roommate answered my phone and explained again that I would like the calls to stop. The person on the phone was named Bryant and my roommate stated he said again that the calls would stop. On 1/1/2015 I received another call from Midway Nissan and ignored the call. I have tried all I could to resolve this with the company with no avail.I am requesting that this harassment stop. I am able to provide proof of request to stop calling and also proof that these requests went ignored .Desired Settlement: I would like proof that my contact information has been removed from Midway Nissan data base. I would like all contact to stop as I will never purchase a vehicle from Midway Nissan.

Review: On December 1st 2015 I went to this dealiership to cosign for my brother [redacted]. We took care of all the paperwork that night and he took his new vehicle home. On Friday December 4th 2015 the dealership asked us to return and sign some changes on the paperwork. That night we were told that once the account was funded they would issue a check for $500.00 for me for consigning. Keep in mind their advertising deal was $1000.00 but it had been cut down to $500.00 by this point. Once the account was funded my brother was told that the check was being cut and that I would receive it, this was January 3, 2016. A week goes by and I had not received the check, worrying that it could have been lost we called the dealership. It turns out it had never been cut, the lady in charge said she didn't have any notes that there was a check that needed to be cut for me. after doing some research she realized she did need to cut a check for me. Again she reassures us there will be a check made and mailed. Another week goes by and no check arrives. Once again we call. We ask to speak to a manager. He assured us that a check would be ready for me to pick up on Friday 22nd 2015. For the THIRD time they did NOT have a check ready for me! This is absolutely ridiculous! A breach of contract in my opinion, since it was a part of what we signed in the deal. Not to mention a complete lack of customer service, which they claim to be excellent at! My husband and I were planning to purchase two more vehicles there this year but due to this experience we are NOT going to be conducting business with this dealership. Word of mouth is the most effective marketing, as you may know, and we will let our experience be known. My brother was waiting to fill out the survey until all the transactions were finished. I'm glad he did, he will fill it out accordingly!Desired Settlement: I would like our promised compensation issued as soon as possible. On Friday January 22 we were told it would be ready on Monday 25 2016 but based on the previous lies from their various members I can't trust it will be. We might have to end up contacting corporate.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] I received the check on 1/25/16 after many false promises. I would consider this matter resolved. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone and warn them of their horrendous customer service. Worst car buying experience.

Worst dealership experience. Called about an ad in the Arizona Republic. I emailed twice and spoke to 2 different people from the dealership. I live a long distance away and wanted to be sure before making the trip. Both salesman said yes price was correct and car was there. I made an appointment to help my mother buy buy a car. Upon arriving we test drove the car, and my mother decided to buy the car. While going over numbers, they added a CPO certification fee. This company had several chances to inform of this "fee". They said there was a disclosure on the website. Unfortunately, I went by there ad and the emails and calls confirming their price. After hearing all the excuses from multiple salesmen and saleswoman...one of the managers said"oh well,we already sold the car anyway!".Not very professional. I found a car for my mother the next day. I was treated with respect and honesty from a competing dealership. Stay way from this dealership.

I bought my first new car at Midway Nissan. Being a young, first time buyer, I was nervous and unsure of my self when I walked into the dealership. The staff there welcomed and offered service as soon as I set foot on the ground. My sales rep [redacted], made sure I was aware and comfortable of all the decisions and information that I was dealing with. I thank Midway Nissan for making my car buying experience a successful one.

Great, friendly customer service.

Midway Nissan showed great customer service I am very impressed with the way Midway Nissan's sales team handled me in the purchase of my new car. 2016 Nissan Altima and Emanuel were very courteous and made me feel at ease with my decisions.Thank you for your Nissan sales Haley She walked me through each step very professionally and I never felt pressured as I have in the past.car in financing took his time and explained all of my options. The staff members at Midway Nissan are very professional people and their customer service is over the top.

Very pleasant car buying experience, best I've ever had. The Sales/Management/Finance staff were very informative and seemed to enjoy their jobs which reflected in the way they treated the customers.

This was a great experience! They were friendly, helpful and provided great customer service. Emmanuel is the man, love my new car!

My husband and I just recently purchased a couple of vehicles through midway Nissan, everyone there was great. Chris and Brian were our salesman and they both were great. They both listened to everything we were saying and did a great job getting us into something that best fits our needs. This is our second time purchasing a vehicle through this dealership and probably won't be our last. We love our vehicles and are extremely happy with the experience.

Grabriel and Manny were awesome! They helped me trade in my car for a brand new Sentra.
