Midway Nissan Reviews (383)

My wife and I recently visited Midway Nissan looking for a new vehicle. We have never had such a pleasant experience as we had with the Midway dealership and its' staff. When we arrived
at Midway,we were met by a young lady and shown into an office to discuss our car buying
needs.We selected the Juke.
We returned on Monday to complete our purchase process with Chris and Katrina. The staff
was very Professional throughout the purchasing process, and this involved Sales,Finance,
and Technology.
Based upon our experience with Midway Nissan,my wife and I would highly recommend this
dealership for its' sales and professional staff members. It was a very enjoyable and low key
process for us.

Very Knowledgeable staff! I was pleased with the quick service (greeted with a smile in the parking lot) and immediate follow-through. [redacted] and [redacted] were all excellent listeners and went above and beyond. I had researched the [redacted] Leaf thoroughly, but still had a few questions.....and they were answered completely. I was also pleasantly surprised by the exceedingly fair price that was offered! No back and forth nonsense. A very pleasant experience.

Review: I took my car into midway nissan the week of September 9th because it had stopped on me and it was not running properly. When they inspected it I was told by [redacted] it was the battery and the throttle, both of which were covered by my warranty. I never have services done here unless its covered by warranty. He recommended that next time I brought the car in I have the 30,000 mile service. I said ok. Well, the car was ready 2 days later and when I went in they were charging me over $600 because he went ahead and had the 30,000 mile service done. I told him I didn't ask for it, I didn't want it done. He went back and forth with me and his manager. Finally she came out telling me, well, this was a miscommunication error and the service was already performed so the best they could do was give me a 15% discount and a payment plan. Its unacceptable that they went ahead and did service I didn't request or agree too, tell me that it was a miscommunication error which it wasn't an error on my part and then keep me there for almost 2 hours. I finally agreed to a payment plan as I wanted my car back and I was exhausted but I think its horrible they perform services without the customers ok and then make them pay saying that its a miscommunication error and the service is already done so the customer has to pay it. Why should I pay for something I didn't agree to from the beginning? I only take in my car for things to get fixed under warranty. I told everyone at work and another person who took their car there had the same thing happen, how can they do this?Desired Settlement: I should not be responsible for services I did not request so this should be adjusted off

Re: ID# [redacted] – [redacted]

We are in receipt of the complaint submitted by Ms. [redacted] regarding her

experience with the Service Department at Midway Nissan.

Midway Nissan does not perform any work upon a vehicle until we have received

authorization from the customer. The Service Technician consulted Ms. [redacted] in

the waiting room, explained the work to be performed and the price. Ms. [redacted] gave her approval to have the

30,000 mile maintenance.

Midway Nissan considers Ms. [redacted] to be a valuable customer and to that

end we offered her a 15% discount, as well as a payment plan of $100.00 a month

with no interest accrual. Ms. [redacted]

accepted our offer. It wasn’t until after

she left the dealership that our agreement for payment became unacceptable.

We regret that we are unable to comply with Ms.[redacted]’s request to pay

for the 30,000 mile service. As we stated previously we had verbal

authorization from the customer to complete the work.

Sincerely,

Midway Nissan – Compliance Director

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]

I never gave approval for the services to be done, and that is what I explained multilple times to the service department manager. I told her I should not be made responsible and she said since the service was done I was responsible even if this was a miscommunication error which it was not. My history with midway will show I only take my car in to get things that covered by my waranty. the payment plan is actualy for $50 a month and it was not after I left that it became a problem as it was a problem since I was charged for charges that were unapproved by me. I didnt sign that I approved them nor did I give verbal permission to be done. I explained what I was there for and services are always done onlyl if my warranty covers them. then before I left I was told no other services would be provided to me until the balance was paid for so now im also being punished for midways error. I made sure they told me they would cover at least what the warranty co covers since that is the only thing I take my car in to get repaired. this is unacceptable, payment plan or no payment plan this was not authoriozed by me and andy even said he thought I had agreed but lilke told him and the service manager I did not give permission, approval or allowed for this service to be done.

Regards,

I recently purchased a 2014 Rogue Select with the Convenience Package from [redacted] at Midway Nissan. I walked in not sure what I wanted just yet, looking at a few different dealerships. I am a full time student that works full time so you can imagine that I don't have the day to go to a dealership to buy a car. No matter, they happily scheduled me a 6pm appointment. I was out of the office by 9 with an amazing deal on the exact car that I was considering and for the first time I walked out of a dealership 100% satisfied. [redacted] was extremely kind and truly had the customer's interest at heart. I highly recommend her.

I bought a new car from Midway Nissan. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to help me. Scott S[redacted] was very attentive and helpful!

Going to Midway Nissan was my choice on buying my first car. I did my research on other dealers and felt that Midway Nissan was a better choice and I was not dissapointed. I was helped by [redacted], very good sales experience and gave me a great deal. I also enjoy speaking with Mr.[redacted] from finace, explained everything in detailed and I came out very excited with my new car!. I would recommend anybody looking to buy their new car, Midway Nissan has the best prizes and customer satisfactory experience.

Tony S[redacted], a kind salesperson, took the time to present to me a car that had everything I asked for and more then helped identify a way that I could afford it! He stayed until the dealership closed to make sure that I was a satisfied customer. Very pleased!

This is the first time in 8 years that I have been to a dealership since my last vehicle purchase. It's much like I remember, but it's always the people that make the difference. Scott S[redacted] made every effort to be sure the experience I had was exceptional, and it was. Julio F[redacted] in Financing made that portion as seamless as it was for Scott to negotiate the price. I am very happy with my purchase and the experience I had at Midway Nissan and would recommend them to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle.

Review: In Dec looking for Nissan Sentra. Advertized on internet & still are for $13,861. With down pymt & cash could get to 84 mos. &$147 mo. Left Ph # & e-mail. [redacted] called back. Set appt. for Friday end of Dec to meet him at 9:45AM. We went, but never got to talk to him. They now tried to sell us an auto for $300 per mo. Offered us $1,100 for my 2003 Chev Malibu & said per [redacted] it was in an accident May 2005 & 2007. We never got here until the end of Apr 2005. They went all over with pymts, but would not let me tell them about the internet price. They told me "NOT MANY PEOPLE QUALIFY FOR IT". I tried to tell the sales person they tacked me on to what my credit score was. He kept saying before I got it out, we know what it is. By the way it is in the 830"s. That made no difference to weather I qualified or not. Then they tried to push a Lease car on us. for $199 per Mo. We live on Social Sec. only & they knew that was why we were interested I n the low payment they had on the internet. Definitely I feel False Advertising to for may people. Next they tried to get us to raise our Insurance deductible from $250 to $1,000. This was HIGH PRESSURE & even brought in a 24 year old Gen. Mgr. Felt Like I was buying a condo in Hawaii. We tried to leave, but they kept on high pressuring us. They had our car keys & I had to almost force them to give them back to me. Furthermore they had no right to them as they had keys on them that they had no right to be in their possession. Please check out the internet & see thet they are falsely coniving people to come in. Esp. us since we had to drive clear from Chino Valley & spend gas we did not have in our budget & the run in to a highway blockage on the way home due to someone having an accident. It started out a good day but left us very, very, very, disappointed. Esp. my wife. Try to go in & buy one at the price they have advertised on the internet. They'll tell U too not many people qualify. Even if your credit scaore is high.Desired Settlement: Yes I would like my gas, plus a $25.00 gift certificate they advertised that I never got by going in if that's possible plus for You to please stop their False Advertising.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

They know what automobile they purposely got us to drive all the way from Chino Valley to Phoenix for. They said my 835 credit report did not qualify me for their internet deal when [redacted] Or [redacted].(I'm not at home now to check his name) but the internet man who had set a 9:45 appointement with us & then "jacked" us on to another agent who HIGH pressured us for 3 HOURS. Plus the illegal manner in which they take a persons auto keys so you can't leave. And especially when there were other keys they legally had no right to on the key chain. Home & business keys. This is the general practice of AUTO dealoers as my freind who recently purchased an auto, the dealer did the same to him, They are covering over an internet scam they more than likely due to anyone who goes on the internet to buy a vehicle from them. If yu beleivethem, then it like [redacted] phrase,(WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE) WHICH CAN APPLY TO ANYTHJING THAT GOES ON. It's really up to you to decide what action you want tio take. There are dishonest practi9ces going on here & if you don"t want to list them as auto scammers., then don't. I'm done with this, especially since you do not want to act on what I sent now & before. I suspected as much.

I am submitting a second response to the complaint filed by

Mr. [redacted] regarding his experience with Midway Nissan.

On behalf of Midway Nissan, I apologize for any

inconvenience Mr. [redacted] experienced with our sales staff regarding internet

pricing. While the advertisement includes all rebates that are available from the manufacturer, not all

customers will qualify for the rebate.

Examples of types of rebates include,

New College Graduate

Current Military

Current Nissan Owner

Qualifying for a particular rebate is not dependent upon a

credit score whether it be good or bad.

Our sales staff directed to always put the customer first

and we regret that Mr. [redacted] experience did not reflect the professional

courtesy that our staff has been trained to provide. It is through feedback of customers like Mr.

[redacted] that we can detect problems in our sales process and correct them.

As a gesture of customer goodwill, Midway Nissan has sent a

check in the amount of $60.00 to reimburse the customer for mileage/gas. Additionally the $25.00 gift card was also

mailed to the address listed on the complaint.

Midway Nissan is

truly sorry for your experience with our dealership.

Sincerely,

Compliance Director – Midway Nissan

The purchase of my Nissan Altima was easy. This is the 2nd car I have purchased from Midway. Their service department is great. [redacted] was pleasant and considerate of our time.

Review: I bought a previously owned vehicle from Midway Nissan-the finance rep said that he could finance me through NMAC if I purchased all of the "extras". I had been out of the country for work and had not used credit in years, my credit score was low 600's. I was led to believe that if I didn't purchase the Mechanical Protection Plan, the clear coat, the tire protection plan and the gap insurance, Nissan would not finance me. I needed the vehicle and agreed to purchase these plans in exchange for financing. I was not told at any time during these transactions, nor does it say so on the contracts, that these plans start at the IN-SERVICE DATE. When I spoke to the insurance company last week, the coverage started the day the car was put on the market, NOT when I purchased it. I bought a 2009 car in 2013. That means these plans already had 5 full years on them. I would not have agreed to spend almost 8000 additional dollars on the car with these "plans" had I known they were not good for the 84 months it states in the contract. Additionally, I was told by another dealer last year that they are scams and I could call to get the remainder of the contract money refunded to me. I spent nearly 8 months trying to do so with Midway Nissan and in the end a different finance rep said it was not worth my while because I would only get several hundred dollars back, but I should keep all of the plans because they protected me from anything happening to the vehicle. This last discussion was December 2015. These plans EXPIRED January 9, 2016. So less than 30 days before these plans expired a rep from Midway Nissan was assuring me these were going to protect my vehicle. Again - at no time did he say they went from the in-service date, but repeated that I had 84 months or 100K miles to use them. Completely misleading once again. I took the vehicle in for the repair I need done to Midway and they now want to charge me $386.50 because the MPP plan is EXPIRED.Desired Settlement: I want Midway Nissan to honor the Mechanical Protection Plan and make the repair to my vehicle. Given the IN-SERVICE date is left blank on the contract, and at no time was I told by anyone in finance or sales what that date was, they should honor the repair that the MPP Vehicle Service Agreement plan would, had it still been within the 84 months or 100K miles (which it is both). The deceptive sales and finance practices haven't changed much in the 30 years I've been buying cars and my only regret is that I actually bought two vehicles from them and they pulled this exact same "we'll finance you if you buy these"scam on the second vehicle as well. It wasn't a fluke the first time - just standard operating procedure for Midway Nissan in Phoenix.

Midway Nissan has made several calls and left voice mail messages for the customer. The customer has not returned the calls in an effort to resolve the situation.Sincerely,Midway Nissan

I went to the dealership without any true expectations that they could help us. We had purchased a [redacted] from another dealership and after a year of payments we were still upside down in the truck and it was not getting the gas mileage we needed. [redacted] our negotiator could see my frustration. He found a Vehicle with cash back bonus, my employee discount and other rebates that allowed us to get into a better deal. We had made all our payments on time so [redacted] lowered our interest rate. My husband is disabled and I did not bring his truck with me however they put everything together and even offered to go to my house for him to sign and pick up the truck. We are so pleased to know there is a dealership out there that truly cares about the customer. I will tell my family, friends and anyone else who listens to go to Midway [redacted]. Thank you [redacted] and all the staff who treated us with respect and kindness.

Review: Prior to visiting the dealership I for warned the sales manager I did not have a license that it was revoked due to a DUI. In order to get it reinstated I was required to install an ignition interlock device which required a need to purchase a vehicle to install the device in. He was eagerly excited and said no problem and that he could help me. After spending hours at the dealership I found a car I was ready to purchase. During the paperwork process they placed forms in front of me left mad right and told me to sign without explaining what for. I read one of the forms and it mentioned an extended warranty. My dad is a mechanic and I told them no way do I need this. I also told them that I didn't need the gap insurance or [redacted] warranty. He told me if I didn't purchase all three that the manager wasn't going to sell me the car. Feeling I had no other choice as I was desperate for a vehicle I agreed to sign up for all three under the directions of a sales associate that informed me just to do it and that I could cancel all three the minute I walk out the door. I was able to cancel the extended warranty and gap insurance at a reduce rate which I was not happy with, however [redacted] refused to cancel the [redacted] charge of $348. [redacted] stated that every car they sell is required to have [redacted] or they will not complete the sale. I have been trying for the last two years to get a refund. After several conversations with managers, the lack of execution and delay in processing and agreeing to a refund has led me to look for assistance.Desired Settlement: Refund of $348 [redacted] fee

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint submitted by Mr. [redacted].

As Mr. [redacted] knows and has been informed on numerous times, [redacted] is a paint protection coating that was applied to the vehicle before sale. Mr. [redacted] signed documents indicating that he understood that this is not a refundable product.

With that being said, Midway Nissan will process a refund in the amount of $348.00. The refund will be sent to the lien holder for Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle. If the vehicle has been paid off, Mr. [redacted] will need to provide a payoff letter to Midway Nissan and the refund will be issued directly to him. The payoff letter can be sent directly to me at [redacted] or via email at [redacted]@vtaig.com.

Regards,

The customer service at Midway Nissan is the best! I came in with a complicated situation and came out with way more then expected. I would definitely recommend all my friends and family to Midway. [redacted] and [redacted] will do everything in their power to make your experience a wonderful one! Thank you Midway Nissan I will be back :)

[redacted] was very helpful in my first car buying experience. He was very professional and laid back during the whole deal. There were no hidden fees, no scamming and no lying about the deal. I got the best deal I could on a brand new 2013 Nissan Sentra because of [redacted]! He's amazing at what he does and I would recommend him to anyone who's looking to buy a Nissan! Thank you very much Midway Nissan for making my first car buying experience a joy!

I purchased a car at Midway Nissan last night, after visiting multiple dealerships throughout the valley looking for a used car. I ended up leaving Midway with a brand new Nissan, paying less than I would have for a used car. Scott Sullivan worked with me. He was amazing, he had an answer to every question without hesitation and went above and beyond to get me exactly what I wanted. He was very friendly and funny during the entire process. When it was time to finalize the deal, I met with Rita Sommer. She was also amazing, very nice, personable and easy to work with. Overall, the customer service here was very surprising, better than I have experienced at a car dealership to date.

I bought a new Nissan Altima from midway Nissan and I'm loving it! The dealership and Brandon were excellent. They were helpful and able to put me in a car! I appreciate there hard work! Also Rita in finance is pretty great!

I had a great experience with Midway Nissan. I was turned down previously with trying to trade in my car to get a bigger more reliable car for my growning family and Midway Nissan was more then capable to do just that. I traded in my 2006 honda civic and was able to get into a 2013 nissan rouge. The best part was that they were able to get me into a loan with a much lower interest rate. My interest rate was cut more than half. The time I spent there was very quick I was there for less than 4 hours and they took the time to go over all the paper work til I fully understood everything. If I had to do it again I would go back to Midway Nissan and I have already referred all my friends there as well.

I recently went to Midway Nissan to help my girlfriend get a new car. Our experience there was a pleasant one. Not only did they give us a fair deal but they also took time to explain the process and help understand everything going on. The team we worked with was very understanding of her budget and tried very hard to give us the car we wanted. We appreciated what Ferchel R[redacted] and her team did for us.

Review: Finance dept. change purchase price in contract for $ 1631.00 with out my agree and push me to sign and buy some unnecessary and what I don't want to buy for additional $ 2340.00 We agree on price $10272 [dealer offer] and mister Alejandro O[redacted] Sales Manager change price in contract to$11903.00 and next day after purchase I come back in dealership and confront mister Alejandro and told him I want to make correction or I don't want car they told me I cant return car because bank alredy pay for car and take me in manager office and manager explain same thing what is not true I have evidence in ridingDesired Settlement: I want to correct contract on original sale price $10272.00 and I want cancel additional warianty on car
