Midway Nissan Reviews (383)

I loved going to Midway nissan. Everyone was very nice and friendly. Scott and Kristy were extremely helpful. They understand that I was on a time crunch and we're very help full. I didn't have to walk all over to find a car. It was pulled up for me. And if I didn't like that . They had another one . My experience was very good.

Review: I am appalled at the manner that this establishment is being ran! We were pre approved through Nissans finance company on sat 5/24, we didnt not finish our transaction that day, due to just agreeing upon a price for the car, so we went back Sunday afternoon. The price of the car was worked out we already had our financing and an interest rate we could live with so just signing the papers with the finance department was all we needed to do, however, they didnt have us sign papers in Finance, they had our salesman, which was helping probably 4 other customers simultaneously and running back and forth, sat with us a quick minute to sign the paperwork which I thought was odd since he had no knowledge of the contract. We went ahead and did it because by now we had spent 12 hours in that dealership for the last two days. On May 30th we recieved a call from the finance manager telling us that there was a missing signature on one of the pages that we needed to sign so we run up there and quickly found out that we were lied to about why we needed to come up, it seems that after we settled on a price and got approved at a interest rate for our financing that they are now saying that our interest rate is much much higher than agreed upon and that they want an extra thousand dollars for the car! I have bought quite a few new cars in my time and I have never had such a horrible experience with salesmen that try to talk circles around you in just a generally ill run establishment! I dont understand how this can happen, we have a signed contract and I was already approved by the financer so can this really be done to people? Please help, I would just like to know the legalities and what is there that protects us as consumers.Desired Settlement: I just want the car at the agreed upon price with the agreed upon financing and interest rate.

RE: Case # [redacted]

We are in receipt of the complaint filed by Ms. [redacted] regarding her experience at Midway Nissan.

Please find attached the Conditional Delivery Agreement which acknowledges that Ms. [redacted] understood that she was taking possession of the vehicle prior to approval from a financial institution. With the retail installment sales contract there is nothing written, implied, or disclosed that a lender had been procured. As is our standard process, the loan was submitted to a number of lenders with whom we do business. Unfortunately, the lender that approved the loan did so at a higher rate that was unacceptable to the Cozza’s

As a gesture of customer good will, Midway Nissan has cancelled the vehicle contract with Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] and the vehicle has been returned to the dealership. We regret we were unable to place Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] in a vehicle with the terms that they desired.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint.

Sincerely,

Compliance Director – Midway Nissan

Both the Internet Sales and Finance Departments worked to make my car buying experience easy and quick. The quote I was given was exactly the same as the amount I purchased the car for. I have never had a better car buying experience than the two I have had with Midway Nissan. I am thankful for the honest transaction and professionalism the staff at Midway Nissan showed me.

Review: I initiated contact with Midway Nissan in response to an ad on their website stating vehicle prices started at ($9.995). After speaking with both their internet sales representative "**" and a Sales representative "[redacted]", I advised that I was looking for a simple transportation car for a cheap price and gave the basic criteria and that I wanted to stay under $11-12,000. They offered a deal on a 2014 new, Nissan Versa Note for an "out-the-door" price of $10,500 dollars. I agreed to pay $5,000 cash down and finance the remaining balance. I had to rush to Phoenix before the incentives ended as it was the last day of the month. This was a 4-hour drive one way for me and it was already late in the day.Upon arrival "[redacted]", my wife and I walked the back lot to choose a color and we discussed how impressed we were with the price of $10,500. She stated that she too was impressed that the car was so cheap.Upon sitting down to complete the paperwork, The sales manager informed us that the $10,500 car was now a $15,500 car and that the "out-the-door" price was $10,500 after the down payment.I refused the deal as this was not the offer made and agreed to on the phone and a handshake was made at the dealership after the long, 4-hour drive. [redacted] stated that she was as surprised and shocked as we were and that she was operating under the assumption that the car was $10,500. She was our salesperson. If she understood the offer was for the same price as we did then where did the confusion come from?Desired Settlement: I want Midway Nissan to honor the deal they made with me and sell me a new, 2014 Nissan Versa Note with Air Conditioning, Cruise Control and radio for the agreed-upon $10,500.00.

Response:

I am responding to the complaint submitted by Mr. [redacted] regarding his experience with Midway Nissan. We sincerely apologize to Mr. [redacted] for the miscommunication on vehicle pricing with our sales staff. Mr. [redacted] was given pricing for a 2014 Nissan nVersa Note, VIN: [redacted], Stock# [redacted]. This vehicle is listed on our website with the following pricing:MSRP: $16,475.00Discount: 659.00*Nissan incentive: 500.00Current listed price: 15,316.00 *Credit Score Offer: 500.00Conditional Final Price: $14,816.00We have listened to all the recorded calls with Mr. [redacted] and the focus was on the 10k out the door and putting 5k down, there was no breakdown of the numbers given to Mr. [redacted] over the phone. Our sales person thought after the rebates, money down and fees applied we were able to then get to the 10,500 on a vehicle which invoiced for 16,200. We were aware that Mr. [redacted] did not live in the area and arrived at the dealership late in the evening, the dealership paid for him to stay at a hotel for the night. Our Customer Service Director has spoken personally to Mr. [redacted] and explained the misunderstanding/miscommunication and apologized to him. We also have offered Mr. [redacted] a $100.00 to compensate for gas/travel to our dealership, he declined the offer. Again, we apologize to Mr. [redacted] for the miscommunication in pricing. We regret that we are unable to sell Mr. [redacted] the vehicle for $10,500. We can provide the manufacturer invoice which reflects the MSRP and Invoice pricing upon request.Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint.Sincerely,[redacted]Compliance Officer – Midway Nissan

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I acknowledge the position of Midway Nissan, but stand firm on the fact that I accepted a legitimate offer made by their sales staff. Any confusion in the actual amount of the vehicle is because their sales staff was misleading, heard what they wanted to hear, or played with the numbers after the fact and failed to clearly spell out the true cost during the 6-8 email and telephone conversations that occurred.I responded to an ad on their website for a vehicle advertised at a starting price of $9,995 and made it clear from the beginning what I was looking for and what I was willing to pay. In the end the deal was some $5,000+ more than we ever discussed. So, in an effort to wash my hands of this, I will accept a payment of $119.00 to cover the $90.00 in fuel and $40.00 in meals incurred on the 600 mile, 2-day round trip; not to mention the additional wear and tear on my aging truck (purchased from Midway Nissan). This amount takes into consideration the $11.00 in fuel that Midway Nissan put in my tank on the evening of February 28.Regards,[redacted]

The staff were very helpful and friendly and put us in a car we could afford. We love our new Nssan! Thanks Midway Nissan!

I was in Midway Nissan on Saturday May 23rd 2015 at 9 am, I went there for three reasons the first of was I was financing my car and didn't want to pay the interest, so I decided to purchase a new car and I got on my computer, and and did a little research, I called and emailed few Nissan dealer for some quotes , when I saw a advertisent for a 50 inch flat screen TV if you buy a car at Midway Nissan, so went to them! Thinking I was going to get a TV. For my purchase!! Well I was there 8 hours and was told to come back on Tuesday for my mats for my car and to get my TV and to sign the rest of my contract, when I was told I needed more money, I told them I didn't have any more money, they gave me more discount for the car, and my rate had gone from 9.99 to10.99 and that I had to sign a paper that said, I was giving up the TV for the discount, and if I didn't sign he would tear up my contact and have no deal! And he wasn't very nice! I waited 3 hours on that day! With tears and disappointment, I left to see if my Mats had been put in my car, lord and behold my Mats were in with the dirt that I had put on the floor, due to No mats!I drove the car for three days, with out mats. Big companies should have pride in there company and do the customer right! Don't advertise if you're really not going to give away TV's! To customers, I did read the fine print, it said a dollar more. I gave a thousand down, and after a promise TV, I got nothing but Heart ache! Thank for nothing Midway Nissan

What a miserable day at this dealership. They did not want to listen to what we wanted, and kept trying to push us in to deals we did not want to make. Really slow responses to finance questions. Left after 7 hours with nothing. Will not go back or recommend this dealership to any one.

Midway Nissan service department has been amazing every time I've needed my car serviced. I would definitely recommend them. Also I want to specifically recognize Chris in the service department he was awesome! He went over and beyond the extra mile to make sure I got the service I needed when my original dealer where I bought my car was giving me the run around. I can not say enough good things about how much Chris went out of his way to help me. Thank you Chris! And Thank you Midway Nissan Service Department for always being so professional and friendly

From the time I drove in until I drove out, the personnel were prompt and friendly. When a problem was found prior to the maintenance, [redacted] got me a rental car, took me back to talk to the actual service mechanic who went over the problem, the service was completed within 24 hours (I thought it would take longer since it was a head gasket) and I was out of there within 10 minutes of arriving to pick up my car.

But I had forgotten my handicapped sticker in the rental but [redacted] called to tell me he had it. Whew! great job, [redacted].

[redacted] our salesman was friendly informative without being pushy, cheesy or theatrical as a lot of salesmen are. Our finance person [redacted] was helpful direct and not pushy either. I felt like they were being honest and helpful. I appreciate our experience and their help. We will buy our next car from [redacted].

The staff at Midway Nissan is very friendly and helpful. They made sure that I was placed in the vehicle that I felt was right for me. Awesome group of people. I would recommend this dealership to all my friends and family.

I had a great experience at this location. They were very patient , helpful and professional .

Review: The experience I just had at Midway Nissan was almost jaw dropping, I feel like I am on a hidden camera show! I won’t even go into the experience I had with the sales department as well as the finance department when my wife and I both bought our cars there in one transaction. Let’s just say she still does not have the final finance paperwork for her vehicle purchase, over 2 ½ years later.

When scheduling my service appointment, I had to call 3 different numbers before I could actually talk to someone. The first number said all circuits were busy, the second number was the same, and finally, on the third number, I spoke to someone who transferred me to a line where the person who answered just hung up. I called back, and was finally able to schedule my service appointment.

Now we move forward to me dropping off my car. I approach [redacted], and when showing him the issue I was having with the little plastic clips on my trunk that have been falling off for at least the past 2 years (I have had my car in there several times for this trunk issue), he just told me that my warranty would not cover it, and he would see what he could do. I let him know that I had been in there several times for this issue, and he denied that fact. He said they didn’t know about it, so basically calling me a liar. I was a bit upset at this point, but just moved along. I want to mention because it will be important later, he asked me for my best contact number, which he wrote on the sheet that I signed before the service on my car took place. This was at about 2:15.

Now we fast forward to 4:30. I received an e-mail that the inspection on my vehicle was complete, but there was no mention that my car was ready to be picked up. I waited at home until 5:45, when I decide to go and pick up my car because [redacted] told me it would be finished by 6 when they closed. [redacted] told me he texted me twice, and when checking the number, it was my old home phone number that has been disconnected for over a year! I am not really sure why he asked for my best contact number in the first place, I guess it is a policy that has no meaning to them.

[redacted] shows me around the car, and opens the trunk when, as I expected, one of the little plastic clips fell off and on to the ground. [redacted]’s reaction was that they were supposed to remain loose in there, and were only to function when the trunk is closed. I know with absolute certainty that this is not the case, when my trunk would not close, I have put them back in place and it very often fixed the issue. Regardless, he said the latch was broken and that was the issue I was having. I have no doubt that the latch broke because of the malfunctioning plastic clips, which are still on my vehicle. But, I decided to choose my battles, and let it go until there was another problem with the trunk. I shook [redacted]’s hand, and got in my car.

I look in my mirror to pull out, and my passenger side mirror is pointing towards the ground, obviously completely broken. I will admit that the mirror was previously broken, but only half way. The mirror still functioned perfectly, but was just a little loose. The dealership knew about this because they have told me in the past that they could not wash the vehicle, or even apply the Zaktec coating that I paid for when buying the car. Obviously no one reads customer history, and without a specific reminder, [redacted] chose to run my car through the wash, and broke the mirror.

I went in to speak to [redacted] and asked if there was no note that the mirror was broken and not to wash the car. [redacted] very coldly just said, “Yeah, I saw that it was in here before for that problem, but you didn’t tell me not to wash it”. That is absurd! This man was incredibly disrespectful, and just did not care about the damage that had been done. I cannot afford to fix the mirror, and have a trip to California planned in a week, should be a fun puzzle to figure out! To be clear, I expect Midway Nissan to repair the mirror at their expense for their obvious oversight.

I have never experienced anything like this in my life. I am not sure if any other dealerships will work with my warranty company, but I will be looking to find out. Midway Nissan has been the biggest mistake of my adult life. I will never, nor would I ever, recommend them to anyone, for any reason.

I have worked as a salesman in a car dealership, and have worked sales/ customer service for almost my entire adult life, so I am not coming from a position that does not understand the other side of things.Desired Settlement: I want my mirror repaired (even though it was not 100% before I brought it in, it in no way needed to be replaced like it does now). In addition, I want the plastic clips on my trunk replaced as they should have been in previous years, while it was under warranty and I complained about them.

Everyone there is so nice and made me feel very comfortable. [redacted] got me approved for a brand new car. [redacted]!! I'm a very happy customer.I highly recommend Midway Nissan on [redacted]. Make sure you check them out. You'll be a happy customer too.

I bought a used [redacted] at the beginning of June from [redacted] and [redacted]. I live almost 700 miles from [redacted] so I asked a lot questions about the van via telephone and internet. [redacted] and [redacted] were incredible. They answered all my questions, measured the interior of the van for me, and even sent a bunch of photographs.
When I arrived in [redacted] they had someone pick me up at the airport. I test drove the van and it was in great shape. They had completely serviced it before it was offered for sale. I've had the van 6 months and am still so happy with it. I can not say enough good things about [redacted] and [redacted]. They went above and beyond what I expected and gave me incredible service. I highly recommend going to [redacted] and [redacted] and buying your next vehicle from [redacted].

I have just recently moved to [redacted] and my car was almost 10 years old. It was time to start looking for something new. I stopped at Midway Nissan and had a wonderful experience. The sales rep was so nice and knowledgable. Everyone there was very nice actually. I ask alot of questions when making a large purchase and no one seemed to be bothered. I would refer anyone to this dealership. I came out with an awesome 2015 Nissan Altima for a GREAT DEAL!

Salesman, [redacted] was excellent. The process was long however, his customer service was great! [redacted] actually listen to me in what I was looking for and also gave his opinion. I appreciate [redacted] and still loving the decision I made. I have told everybody about this dealership and when they are ready they are coming. Way to go Nissan I understand why you are #1.

Had a great experience at Midway Nissan!

My car buying experience with Midway Nissan was extremely terrible and the sales people including manager were not only unethical in their saling practices but they are just straight up liars!!! This dealership and its sales reps really needs to be audited and shut down for the illegal sales processing conducted in this facility. I will never visit or refer anyone to Midway and its affiliates because these people are crooks!!!!

My best advise would be DO NOT TAKE A CAR WHEN BANKS ARE CLOSED. DO NOT TRUST ON THEIR WORD. They will promise a low interest rate and allow you to take the car. When you come back and sign paperwork, they write the contract at a higher rate(the rate the bank truly approved you for, not what they made you believed so you'd take the car). Even though is not what you signed up to, they will tell you if you do not take the car it will appear as a repo on your credit.
