Midway Nissan Reviews (383)

Great customer service. explained everything in very good detail. Would definitely recommend to any friends looking to buy an automobile.

Came to Midway Nissan because I was interested in purchasing a Nissan Pathfinder. I was helped by [redacted] who actually made buying a car a way better experience and gave me hope that if I ever want to purchase a vehicle again it won't be a horrible experience. [redacted] was very honest and straight forward didn't give me false hope. I did leave with a brand new 2013 Nissan Altima, though this wasn't the vehicle I came to purchase, I am very happy with it. I would totally recommend anyone looking to buy a new vehicle to one but a Nissan and two go Midway Nissan to purchase your new car, and make sure you ask for [redacted].

I was recently in a car accident and as a result, my car was totaled. I had bought the car that was totaled at Peoria Nissan, but the experience there was just not that great. I wanted to buy another Nissan, since my Nissan was a great car. I decided to try a different dealership and I picked Midway Nissan.

I was greeted by Michael as soon as I got out of the car. I told him that I found a great deal on the internet for a Nissan Rogue and he worked very hard to get me the deal that I found. He was very friendly, personable, and funny. During my test drive, he was cracking jokes in the backseat, making me feel very comfortable. The entire "buying" process was great and ran very smooth. There was no "back and forth" between the salesman, manager, and finance department that I cannot stand, that I have dealt with at other dealerships. The only downfall, which was not Michael's fault, was the fact that I could not take the car home right away. The car was blocked in by a white van, who supposedly was on vacation, and would not be back until Monday.

I came back the next day to get my car. At this time, I was able to test drive it again, and just like the first day, Michael was comedian. He was very funny, and fun to work with. It was definitely apparent he was new, as I feel he was not as knowledgeable as he should have been for a salesperson. When I would ask him multiple questions about the vehicle, such as, "where is the gas release button?" he had no idea and had to look for it with me. He also failed to tell me that my antenna was in my glove box. He did help me set up my hands free Bluetooth in the car for my cell phone prior to driving the car off the lot. The car had multiple scratches all over the hood, sides of the car, and the roof. Both Michael and the Sales Manager wrote up a "We Owe" and were very willing to fix it.

I love my Nissan Rogue and my overall sales experience was great. The only recommendation is that Michael have a little more training to be more knowledgeable on the car. I know it will come in time, and everyone has to learn right? All-in-all, my experience was way better than Peoria Nissan. I will definitely recommend family and friends to Midway Nissan! Thank you!!

I had the BEST experience at Midway Nissan! The Sales Executive, [redacted] helped me pick out a vehicle that was perfect for my needs. He didn't make me feel pressured to buy. He was very knowledgeable of all the vehicles and what would be a great fit for me. He listened, made me feel comfortable and made me super satisfied with my purchase. Justin is a VALUABLE asset to Midway Nissan, definitely represents the company with class and high quality. I love my vehicle and I couldn't be more happier! Because of my experience, TWO of my brothers purchased vehicles from Justin all in the same weekend!!

I had been renting from [redacted] for a few months because I simply needed a vehicle to get around & take care of things that were limited with solely public transportation. I came into Midway Nissan interested in looking at vehicles, but definitely not intending to leave with a vehicle. My experience with [redacted]. was not only exciting, but definitely an overall plus to my current situation. With her great product knowledge & the fact she listened to my wants&needs; to not simply respond, but rather really meet my desired vehicle... Got me to leave with a 2015 Nissan Sentra SR! All paperwork was explained thoroughly & I left assured that I made a great decision.

Great customer service and knowledgeable, helpful staff as well.

A very positive experience. [redacted] is an exceptional salesman and person. [redacted] is courteous, professional, and patient. I have never enjoyed buying a car before.

I just bought a brand new [redacted] at midway Nissan and I love it!!! The whole process was made super easy, in part due to [redacted] car buying service, but mostly because everyone at midway Nissan was soooo nice and helpful! My sales guy [redacted] was fantastic and everyone else there went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and attended to. The service Nissan provides to service and maintain your vehicle is top notch and unexpected and the follow up has been above and beyond. I've never bought a Nissan before but can't imagine ever buying anything different if this is truly how they take care of their customers and their vehicles. I look forward to a long relationship with midway Nissan, thank you so much for the supreme customer service and MY NEW CAR!!!

I had a great experience at Midway Nissan on Monday, March 16, 2015!
The salesman Justin was sincere and helpful. He listened carefully to my thoughts and found the right vehicle for me. Justin was a refreshing change from the salesmen I usually encounter at other dealerships; he really "put the customer first" and did not try to pressure me into buying a higher priced vehicle. I appreciated his guidance and direction in helping me find a vehicle that I truly enjoy.
I also appreciated working with Joe U*, the finance agent. Joe went out of his way to explain the details of the loan and provided me with some excellent discounts for the necessary "extras" that are needed when purchasing a vehicle. Joe had a great sense of humor, and again listened to me.
Based on the experience I had with Justin and Joe, it seems like Midway Nissan does care about the customer and puts the customer first. This has been the best car-buying experience that I have had. With this kind of service I am certain to return to Midway when I am again ready to purchase.

Review: on 12/13/15 I purchased a used 2015 Nissan Rogue vin#FC763656 (last 8 digits). The dealer charged me $348 for a ZATEK application after the fact we agreed upon a e-price and ZATEK charge was never mentioned on the window pricing ! I question this and the finance guy (Joe **) said they do it to all the autos when they come in from the factory! This charge on the used Nissan Rogue is a duplicate charge since Midway already charged the previous owner back in 12/10/2014. I went to the ZAKTEK web site and found the original application date – I printed out the application details as proof. This erroneous charge is fraudulent, deceptive and unbecoming of Midway Nissan. I am demanding a $348 refund on my AMEX card that I paid the $3k down or a check from MIDWAY NISSAN.Desired Settlement: I am demanding a $348 refund on my AMEX card that I paid the $3k down or a check for $348 from MIDWAY NISSAN.

December 29, 2015We are in receipt of the complaint filed by Mr. [redacted] regarding his experience at Midway Nissan. Our Customer Service Director, Aaron H[redacted] has been in touch with Mr. [redacted] in an effort to resolve the situation. Midway Nissan offered to split the cost of the $348.00 application fee with Mr. [redacted] and he refused stating that he wanted the full amount. On December 23rd, Mr. [redacted] sent an email to Aaron, who replied to the customer that he was currently out of the office but would go ahead and refund the full amount of $348.00. Aaron contacted Mr. [redacted] on December 26th to make payment arrangements. Mr. [redacted] indicated that he was unable to speak with Aaron at the moment and would call him back.In the meantime, Mr. [redacted] apparently disputed the down payment that was made on his American Express credit card. We are willing to work with Mr. [redacted] to resolve the issue, we have even offered to cancel the vehicle sale in it's entirety. In order to resolve this issue, we ask Mr. [redacted] to contact Aaron H[redacted] at Midway Nissan.Sincerely,Patti S[redacted]Compliance Director - Midway Nissan

Review: Upon my arrival to Midway Nissan, I stopped to inquire if I could get $10,000.00 for my car later this year when I hope to be able to buy a new car. I was told by the salesman [redacted], "Yes, more than likely you can. Let's go inside and check it out." I was there for over 8 hours, drained, tired, hungry and I was talked into buying a new car. I went home around 5pm to check out my budget and saw in their website brand new vehicles for way less than what I was offered. So, I called back and told them that I could afford a new car, (assuming I could get the cheaper models which were advertised) and to go ahead and make a deal. Upon my arrival again, ca. 45 min. later, before signing anything, I inquired about the lower vehicle prices on their website, with intentions to consider one of the lower priced models. They told me that those prices were not accurate, they are only posted as such to attract customers. (false advertising if you ask me) They also advertised, online four 2105 models on hand and told me they had none and hadn't received any 2015 models at all yet. I ended up signing a contract and didn't notice until the next morning, that they did not give me my $10,000.00 I had asked for. and I called the dealership that following Monday morning and spoke to [redacted] their Sales Mgr. He told me that I could have my old car back. Upon my return on Tuesday afternoon, I met up with [redacted] and he still had the option of returning my car available to me. But then 3 other Sales managers approached me and pressured me to keep the car because they would not give me my old car back in spite of what [redacted] told me twice. They would not drop the GAP Ins., Service Contract, Maintenance Agreement and the Tire Protection because they would then deduct the $750.00 rebate which would only make a $4.00 difference in price, plus they had other excuses as to why I should keep it. The final deal resulted in a $17603.41 for the sale price, $8000.00 for my trade-in and a total to finance $24,081.12. This is a huge amount considering 0% interest. I cannot afford the payments which was why I requested the cheaper models and why I wanted the other warranties, ins. and agreements dismissed. They compelled me to sign the new contract since they would not give me my old car back as promised.Upon my arrival to Midway Nissan, I stopped to inquire if I could get $10,000.00 for my car later this year when I hope to be able to buy a new car. Review: I went to Midway Nissan on 05/22/2013. After speaking with a sales rep and informing her of my financial situation she informed me that she found me the most affordable car for my situation. After talking to her and the sales manager for two hours they informed me that I was approved for a $16K vehicle. I had to get paystubs and insurance before leaving with the vehicle. On 05/23/2014 before bringing my paystubs I decided to go to the Midway Nissan Website where I found multiple cars for around $12K. I went back to the dealership and informed them of my interest in a less expensive car. After the sales manager and the sales rep reached for a reason on why I couldnt get that MSRP price, the sales manager told me I had to be a Military Veteran who has graduated college shops at [redacted] and have purchased a vahicle from that lot before. I reassured him that the MSRP price is not based off of those qualifications. The sales manager got very flustered and walked off to see if he could find me a "good deal". The sales rep came back and informed me that I was no longer approved for the vehicle that was less expensive than the car that I was approved on before. I have never felt so disrespected and discriminated against. This experience is a disgrace to car salesmen and Nissan as a whole. I was approved to get a vehicle that I can afford and was not sold the vehicle because it was not the optimum selling amount for the dealership. I work for a lender and what happened is against federal lending practices and was considered descrimination. I documented everything that was stated the coupons that I brought with me and I aslo have witnesses that watched the entire process happen.Desired Settlement: My time was wasted and I was approved for a vehicle that was not sold to me. They are using a bait and switch technique to oversell vehicles. I want Niissan to look into this Dealership and make sure that they are following the correct legal procedures and I would also like to be able to purchase the vehicle that I was approved for.

Response:

Hello Revdex.com,

I am not satisfied because all Nissan offered me was a dinner for my family. Two days of my time was wasted at that dealership and I was discriminated against, not because of race or anything of that nature but because I caught the sales manager in a lie. It is not an issue of customer service it is an issue of morality. I was purposely mislead into thinking that the car they were getting for me was the best financial choice I could make. I found a less expensive car on their own website. Once I brought that up to the Sales Manager, instead of trying to make that deal work, he tried to convince me that the car wasn’t available anymore and that I didn’t qualify for it. He gained my trust by pitching to me this vehicle that is out of my price range and blatantly lied to my face and didn’t have the decency to apologize. I appreciated the fact that they have apologized, but the issue is bigger than that. It makes me wonder about all of the other unfortunate people who have given their trust to Midaway Nissan and have been purposely mislead into debt for the sake of making the most profit. It’s a shame that I had to go to these lengths, but someone needed to shed light on how they are conducting business. Its not only irresponsible as a dealership but its immoral as a human. I thank Midway Nissan for the consideration of the individual that contacted me, but I have returned the call of the GM and have not gotten a response and to be honest I feel he did it for the sake of saying he reached out to me.

Best Regards,

Regards,

I recently purchased a 2013 Altima from Midway Nissan. I had been researching numerous cars and dealerships. I finally decided to visit Midway Nissan, and was so happy with my choice. [redacted] was the best salesman, no pressure, very imformative and new my time was presious! I am very happy with my purchase, quality car and so much more for they money than I excepted! Thank you Midway Nissan!!

We had a wonderful experience at Midway Nissan. The employees were very nice, knowledgeable and we couldn't be happier with the purchase of our 2014 Nissan Versa. A big thanks to [redacted] and everyone else at Midway Nissan. We would definitely recommend their dealership to our friends, family and perfect strangers for that matter.

I have had the pleasure of working with a noble and honest car representative, Tony S[redacted]. As a first time buyer, I was quite hesitant at first due to the typical stereotypes of "car sales men". As an ideal sales individual, Tony has significantly impacted and changed my perception of individuals in car sales. Going through this experience again I would strongly recommend Tony S[redacted] one who upholds the mission of Midway Nissan

advertised price was 8,500 paid 10,500 after all said and done. I would buy from there again

I recently had two great experiences with Midway Nissan. I bought my first brand new car in August of 2014 and had exceptional customer service! My first car buying experience was the best! Recently I was in an accident and totaled my car. Due to my first experience I returned to Midway Nissan to purchase my new car replacement. Anthony G[redacted] was our sales man and he was knowledgeable, helpful understanding to my needs and wants in my car. We had a great experience and would highly recommend both Midway Nissan and our sales man.

BY FAR THE BEST TRUCK BUYING EXPERIENCE WE EVER HAD! [redacted] WAS SO PROFESSIONAL AND NO PRESSURE. HE LITERALLY WANTED US TO FIND EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED! HE WAS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT ALL THE VEHICLES.

THANKS [redacted]

Review: I purchased a car under unethical sales tactics and heavy handed pressure on 10/16/15. I was then contacted by the dealership, Midway Nissan, and told that the final documents of the contract were not signed and that if I did not come to the dealersip and sign then the car would not legally be mine.

After having been given this news I asked what documents had not been signed and was ensured the car was not mine unless I came and signed.

On Saturday 10/31/15 Icame to the dealership to return the car I was offered another contract and told the only reason they contacted me was to offer a better deal and was told the paper left unsigned did not in fact matter. After stating that I felt lied to and lured to Midway under false pretenses and that I did not want to sign another contract I was then moved to another office. Here the sales manager said that what I had been told about the final paperwork was 100% true when I was told, however, now it was not. When asked how that was possible he continued to push the new contract on me and said the only was out of the car was to sing the new contract or have it reposessed.

I stated that I had intended to leave the car and would like a copy of the page I hadn't signed from the original contract. He said that he would make a copy.

I waited for 20 mins as I watched him check his phone, go to the restroom etc finally to have another sales manager tell me they would not give me a copy of the final document. When asked why the man stated "we dont have to give you the paper because its ours."

The entire experience at Midway Nissan has left me feeling unsatisfied, deceived, undervalued, ridiculed, pressured and overall cheated.

I have witnesses from the night of the purchase testifying to the dealers standing at my van blocking me from leaving and using other unethical tactics. I also have witnesses testifying to the statements that the car was not mine to the dealers refusing to give me proper paperwork.

Consumer

Response:

I do not accept the response of Midway Nissan as it did not address the original complaint. "Buyers remorse" does not address the issues of proper paperwork being filed to complete a contract, misrepresenting the motive when asking me to drive the 2 hours back to the dealership (or misrepresenting the true motives once they had me in the office), the extremely heavy handed sales tactics (of which I have witnesses), or the poor customer service skills of not addressing paperwork issues and refusing to give me complete copies of all official documentation regarding the "purchase" of any kind. The company did lied to me about the details of the contract and paperwork regardless of how they phrase it and then treated me with absolutely no respect after having found out that I did not intend to keep the car.
