to respond. Upon receiving notification of this complaint, MRS conducted an investigation with regard to this matter. The investigation has found the following: Prior to this complaint being filed, we received no communication from this consumer either written, or verbal, after multiple attempts to contact her at [redacted] which was the number provided by our client for contact. On 08/03/2016 this consumer contact our office threatening the representative she spoke with stating this account was paid back in 2011 to another collection agency. Then stated that she received no correspondence from our office, and that she would just file suit against us. Our internal policy is to honor verbal & written DISPUTE claims any time a consumer is expressing such a claim. With that said, we have acknowledged this as a dispute/validation request, and have marked this account DISPUTE as of today's date, and will issue a credit bureau deletion record on the next submission batch. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.  - MRS Compliance Team

I am rejecting this response because: I reached out to them as soon as I noticed the change on my credit report. And faxed them a paid in full letter from the debt collection company who I paid to settle this debt. I also reached out to the local police dept and filed a claim against MRS for illegal actions of what they did. I am in the process of buying a house and it dropped my credit score by 55 points hurting my closing date and ability to buy the house. [redacted] Collections manager from MRS emailed me on 1/09/17 at 6:10pm stating in ref acct # [redacted] was closed for the reason dispute paid prior. I am rejecting this response because: This is the standard generic response provided by this firm time after time.  There are so many violations of the FDCPA from not providing a written notification of the alleged debt with a disclaimer about non-collectability to labeling it as an open account in the credit bureau files to make it look as though it is a recent default and designed to cause maximum and wilfull injury to one's creditworthiness.  It must be removed right away from all credit bureaus.

However, I would like to know how soon the Derogatory Record will be removed from all 3 Credit Reports. I am in the process of looking for a job and derogatory comments like this will prevent me for landing a job. Hence, I would like this to be removed immediately.  I am attaching the discharged letter for this PAID charges, as an evidence, that this matter has been closed and I do not owe any money to anyone.

The response is 100% false.  They said they had never had interaction with me.  I called them as soon as they put these fraudulent accounts on my credit report as collections.  I was told there was nothing I could do but call the police or pay them.  I don't ever want to see these accounts on my credit report again!

I am rejecting this response because: They are liars - plain and simple. They have called and threatened me on multiple occasions, as they have done with many other people. Just read your own complaints. TransUnion knows they are a scam as they have already removed this bogus account from my credit report. So you can close the matter, but I am rejecting their response on the basis of them being liars.

12/12/2017: Mediator sent consumer email requesting update.12/12/2017: It has not been resolved. This is the first time I have been contact from Revdex.com since the compliant went to mediation (months ago). The only acceptable resolution to this compliant is removal of the debt from my credit report because they have yet to provide any documentation to validate these charges. 12/26/2017: Mediator provided consumer with update.12/26/2017: Thank you very much for your help in resolving this complaint.

I am rejecting this response because: the company that  they are  representing is an illegal payday lender who has illegal  collection practices by calling relatives, friends and even employers of any person they want to scam and they relate personal information to these people which is a violation of fair  collection practices! They refuse to validate any loan in question and will even send emails with bogus FBI logos and use  names  of famous  attorney's  on the letters. They threaten to have people arrested at their  place  of work and tell family members that this person is guilty of check fraud and unless the person pays  immediately they  will go to jail. I would  not respond to anyone  representing a scam like this because I was informed by my local sheriff's office not to as they will continue to harass you and anyone they can pull up that is related to you over and over again.  Any legit loan  company will provide you a WRITTEN validation of debt upon request American web loan will not. They are governed by a tribe and claim that normal laws do not apply to them. The harassment  got so bad my health was affected...

Please do not close this complaint.  Their response is not acceptable and totally inaccurate.My husband and I wrote the initial complaint together.  He never acknowledged the debt.  Never gave them "a financial statement".  Just told them we are renting and I am not working.  My husband did call them the next day asking them for their address so we could mail the validation letter.  They were very evasive in giving the address.  Never disputed the debt previously because the phone call to my husband on June 21, 2016 was the first notification.  That was 15 days ago.  Still have not received anything in writing from them.  I thought after the initial contact is made, they have only a few days to send a written communication. Also, their calling tactics are misleading. Their outgoing numbers show them as a Medical ID company.  What's up with that?  They are a debt collector and not a Medical ID Company.  They need to correct this so they are not misrepresenting themselves when they approach people.
