Was with State Farm for years (policies included home, and 4-vehicles at various times), no claims ever filed on any policyRoof was damaged in a large hail storm, and over the course of years was verified by roofers, one brought in by State Farm to insure no biasPhotos were taken showing all the damage, and the claim was deniedShame on you State Farm!! You take peoples hard earned money, do nothing for it, and find any reason you can possibly pull out of the thin air to deny their claimDo not trust them like I did!! I am now with Farmers's, using the same coverage only better than I had with State Farm and they saved me enough money to cover my Home Owner's Policy each year compared to what I was paying with State Farm!! Run from this company as fast as you canJust Google State Farm Sucks and see how many people have been taken advantage of by this companyEven the industry ranks them as the top company to refuse to pay out claimsI have photos of the damage that was taken by the State Farm chosen roofer, they can be found at consumeraffairs.com and usinsuranceagents.com

I own a townhome in a unit complexAll of the units suffered hail damage in May of The association master insurance policy had a deductible of $216,000.00, or $per unitOur association bylaws decree that special assessments be done on a monthly basis in conjunction with the usual monthly assessments, which had been done over several years resulting in sufficient funds in reserve savings to cover the deductibleMy state farm agent who sold me a HOpolicy for my unit had the claim paid promptly, as did other insurance companies covering other residentsA war broke out among homeowners, some of whom were unaware of the high-deductible on the master policyThey had no coverage for loss assessment under their HOpolicies and adopted the attitude that NOBODY should be able to get reimbursement for the lossOne of them sent a complaint to State FarmMy agent assured me that my policy would still cover me in the future for any claim that was assessed against all hom

On March 3rd, I secured a policy with State FarmThe rep that did my policy was Alfonzo Hamlin and here's with the local Emma Allen State Farm at Brownsboro RD Suite DWinston-Salem, NC When I first spoke to Alfonzo, I SPECIFICALLY TOLD HIM THAT I DO NOT HAVE A LICENSEAll that I have at the moment is a LEARNERS PERMITHowever, I needed insurance on my vehicle to be able to get it registered in my nameThe only insurance REQUIRED in the state of NC is LIABILITYSo he proceeded to give me the cost, etc and at that point I agreed and I signed up for the policyMind you, he told me that because I only had a LEARNER'S PERMIT, He couldn't add any additional services on to my policyI couldn't get roadside or any of those thingsSo again, I agreedThe initial payment that I made on March 3rd was $I still have the receipt and all of the paperwork The monthly cost was supposed to be $and that payment was due around March 28thI NEVER paid the next mo

We have a claim opened with state farmThe person that working on the claim is not responsibleHe is trying to avoid payingHe said that he needs all the parties to provide damage estimates, but he refuses to contact all parties and do anything to get the needed docsFirst he tried to refuse the coverage, so maybe other parties are thinking that there is no coverage He is refusing to pay us because he need something that he refuses to do

My son had an at fault accident on Dec28, that resulted in a claim for $2097.00, on July 28, we were billed from State Farm for $a $or 42.69% increase for the at fault accident per there explanation, I wasn't happy however I called and spoke to my agents office and the payment was made, on Dec15, I get my next cycled bill in the amount of $1547,a $0r 21.51% in crease for the same at fault accident dated Dec28, that resulted in a $claim, in less than 1-year for accident my premium increased from $to $1547.60, this isn't not a joke our Bill almost doubled for a $claim and I'm a 30+year State Farm customer, this is a sad state I find consumers in, when any company can bill anyone almost 50% in additional cost and not knowing if there's any ending in sight, for this type of abuse, and if it's legal, it's a sad case I find consumers in, however, this is past price gouging, and why am I paying state farm if they can esc

I have had State-farm insurance for almost years now and rarely made changes to my coverageI recently bought a 3rd car with my fiancé and it was titled in his nameWe called to add it to our insurance and was told by the call center that it could be done and would send proof of Insurance via emailWell I waited till that following Monday still did not receive ID cardsI called back in and was then told due to the car not being titled in my name we would not be able to have it on my insurance so we dismissed it and got insurance from another providerTwo weeks after that call stating it was not able to be added due to how it was Titled we received ID cards in the mail for the car we were told would not be able to have on our policy So I called my local office spoke with Courtney who stated she’s not sure why I was told that via the call center but we could get it removed no problem and backdated since we went with another providerI go to check my online acct and low and beho

on 10/22/Ms*** *** *** hit my car on block of *** *** **, Houston, Texas I reported the accident to state farm on 10/24/Ms*** took the report and promised that Ms*** ***, the claim adjuster ( ***, # 335) will be calling me next hourssince Ms*** decided not to call me, I called and left a message on 10/and 10/31, I received no reply from her
I called the claim center again discussed whit Msjackie and stephanie who advised to call her again but there was only recording
it has been days since I reported this claim and no one call to pay for the damages
enclosed please find the only letter from state farm insurance co plus picture of the accidents, and estimate for the repair
in addition the repair , I need three days of rental car to complete the repair

I received a letter dated January 12, terminating my home insurance policy due to two past claimsI’d filed for roof damage to my homeI have had this insurance policy for over years and have paid it on time and never been late, everThese two claims are the only two claims I have ever filed (and the second was at the recommendation of the company because the first claim check had expired, which resulted in an additional claim)I have cars covered under State Farm and an additional rental property covered under State FarmIt is absolutely absurd to have this communicated via mail There is a claim that a call was made, but I have no evidence of any voicemailIt is unfair and poor business practice to cancel my insurance because of claims made over a year periodI should not have to go through the process of an appeal and pay for itThe point of insurance is protect the insured in cases of emergency such as this, not punishEspecially a customer who has so much

I have recently cancelled my renters insurance policy with State Farm and a few weeks later received a refund check by mail in the amount of $ After I cashed/deposited the check into my personal account, I'd received another letter from State Farm stating that such check was not to be cashed "DUE TO A PRINTER ERROR"
By the time I'd received this letter, it was already too late and as a result of this error, my bank charged me a "return check fee" of $
State Farm issued a replacement check for the same amount it was cashed soon after
Now State Farm is refusing to issue a refund I was charged from my bank for their error
My local State farm office has all copies of bank statements showing fees charged and returned check
Please advise at your earliest convenience

I recently purchased a policy but my dealership found cheaper coverage the same dayI decided to cancel the policy with state farmIt took a month for them to advise they had sent my refund to the wrong addressAn address in their system from years agoI went to the alternate address which is my business and it was not thereNow Iam having to wait another days plus because the check cant be placed as a stop payment until the end of the weekI have to wait until mid April when I requested a refund in februaryThe customer service representatives, the agents and everyone I spoke to were rude and had no concernWhen I had a policy with them before and found a better company it took months to get my check which was sent to the wrong address again and I had the hardest time trying to cash it

To Whom It May Concern:
I have been a loyal customer with State Farm Insurance for over yearsI would like to address the February 16, letter mailed to my home property address regarding Notice of Non-Renewal Homeowners Policy Expiration Date: May 02, 2018, 12:a.m
The letter stated and documented that I had four claims in the amount of O dollars per claimThis is absolutely incorrect! The four claims are actually INQUIRIESAdditionally, customer service with my agency has been very poorOver the years, I had to make numerous calls to speak to my agent to no availHe was never available when I needed to talk to himIn addition, after leaving so many messages, he never returned phone calls on a timely basis
Most importantly, State Farm Insurance stated the following, "We are sorry that we cannot continue this insuranceTherefore, your policy will not be renewed."
I would greatly appreciate your immediate attention in resolving this issue
Sincerely,
Mar

In March I switched insurance companies for house and vehicles (from Nationwide to State Farm) due to a lower quote from State Farm Agent, Mick Lundy We agreed to terms, did digital signatures on home & auto policies for escrow and monthly debit respectively, and all was well until last week Sandy, Mick's assistant, called me and said she made a mistake on my quote and that one of my vehicles (Jeep Grand Cherokee) would cost an additional $16/month I spoke with Mick Lundy also, and he told me they made a mistake and there is nothing he can do to honor the original quote
Based on the cost/terms of this insurance agreement with State Farm, I cancelled my home/auto policies with Nationwide after years with them I don't understand how State Farm can enter into a contract with me on such terms, then increase my rates a month later based on their mistake

I was referred to *** *** Insby a coworker and was disappointed almost immediately at the service provided After receiving quotes, I decided to move forward I was told by *** not to worry about contacting my previous agent regarding the cancellation of my policies and that she had it under control Needless to say, she did NOT, resulting in my previous agent debiting my account for my auto and my mortgage company paying my homeowners I reached out and *** was unconcerned with the inconvenience her lack of commitment caused I reached out to *** and informed him of what took place and within days the matter was resolved Fast forward to current, I emailed *** 9/18/to cancel my policies (both auto and homeowners had gone up significantly and I'd found a better rate elsewhere) By 9/I hadn't heard back so I decided to call the office The representative that I spoke with said there was no cancellation pending I immediately forward my email from 9/

I have had auto insurance through State Farm for several years (years with my own policy, and years while attached to my parents’)Throughout this time I have made every payment reliably and on timeAdditionally, my parents have been loyal customers of State Farm for decades
There is exactly one time that there has been an issue with their receiving a payment from me, and it occurred last month (May 2018)I had had automatic payments set up to be drawn from a credit card each monthIn March, this credit card number changedI tried to update the billing information for my account online, but was informed that this could only be done through the agencyDue to my work schedule conflicting with their hours, I did not have an opportunity to formally update the information through their officeInstead, I had to make manual payments in March, April and MayState Farm allows their customers to select which date their automatic payments are drawn; I had chosen the 2nd of each mo

I was instructed by State Farm to have a dimished value appraisal done by a third party for a vehicle involving one of their customersThey stated that once they received the report they would either accept it or try to reach a settlementOnce the appraisal was completed I sent the information to State Farm for reviewI folllowed up with them and spoke to the person reviewing the claimHe pulled up the entire report of over pages and within minute told me I was not eligible for DV claim through the companyHe did not complete a thorough review of the information presented and only based the decision on the fact that no frame damage was done to my vehicle during the accidentThis information was available to State Farm well before they instructed me to have the appraisal completedThe company could have simply told me based on the type of body damage I would not be eligible for the DV claim and I would not have paid to have the appraisal completedThis practice I believe wa

When I signed up for insurance with Statefarm for my new (used) car, the lady helping me asked me if I wanted to take part in their "Drive Safe & Save" programShe said they would send me a device that I would put in my car that would connect to my phone and send information to them, and in doing so I would receive a discount on my insurance each monthShe said that this service was "free of charge" so I said, sure, why notI realized too late that I would need my smart phone to have the internet on for this device to work, and I don't have that kind of data, so I decided not to use the appI come to find out that they are going to charge me for the device, for not using it, AND they are "Back charging" me for the discount they were apparently already giving me just for saying yes to the deviceWhen I signed up for insurance the woman said this device would save me at the most MAYBE five percent each month, depending on how much I droveShe said my insurance would be around f

I have had auto and renter's insurance through *** *** office for over yearsThe entire time, I was required to have my payments auto-drafted from my bank account, otherwise I would be required to pay an extra month's coverage up frontThis year, I had some financial issues and needed to change my payments for some monthsMy payments were supposed to be withdrawn on the 24th of each month, and when I needed them changed, they were accommodating in helping me change thatI did sign an authorization form for this dateHowever, this July I moved to Chicago, and I stopped receiving any paperwork from this office
What ended up happening at some point this summer, was that my payment ended up being withdrawn on the 6th, I do not remember the exact date, and it ended up overdrafting my account, as I was unaware the funds were withdrawn that dayMy bank was able to refund the overdraft fees incurred by this
On October 6th, funds were withdrawn again from my accoun

I was very dissatisfied with my whole experience with State Farm

Upon contacting State Farm for insurance I assured them that I already had two ticketsWith that information I was quoted $for months and which I paid over the phone with an agent on March 28th I receive a text message on June 2nd stating that I had an overdue payment and that my insurance would lapse if I did not make this paymentI proceeded to call the local office where I was advised that the right that was originally given to me had gone up because the original rate that was quoted did not include the two tickets that I had mentioned in earlier conversations before setting up the policy with State FarmAfter over a week of going back and forth and no one being on the same page I'm being told today June 13th that my money will not be refunded even though a supervisor told me it would be refunded because State Farm admitted to dropping the ball on this policy no one contacted me and the supervisor admitted that they were wrong for not contacting meI have no oth
