On May 8, we switched our homeowners to a new insurance company and our former company, State Farm, did not appropriately disburse our pro rated refund on our homeowners policyIn with this, the customer service we received from our local agent was beyond rude and certainly not helpfulAs I called the State Farm # twice and informed them we did not receive the correct refund and was told to call the local agents office, which I did, also for the 2nd timeWhen I explained we did not receive the correct refund I was immediately told, "well, you have to call the company" As a consumer, I WAS calling the company as I believe it would be common sense to assume that the agencies ARE the companyThe person who answered the phone at our local agents office was extremely rude and not at all helpfulI have made phone calls so far and this is wrongI was a State Farm customer for over years and this experience solidly confirmed that we made the right move by switching compan

I filed a claim for water damage to my house and my claim was denied My next door neighbor, also insured by State Farm, had her water damage claim covered Same loss, same type of damages I am even using the same contractor that she used State Farm will not explain to me why my claim was denied but hers was not A claims manager will not call me back to explain any difference between handling her damages and mine even though my insurance agent advised that they would respond back to me

Getting insured through this company was a complete disaster to begin withThen after purchasing a policy the company found endless reasons to discontinue my policy until they finally didA month after my policy was cancelled and I received a check back for the money remaining on my account for the days my policy was not active I got charged for the policy which was not activeI called the office and they informed me it was in fact their fault and the money should have never left my accountI've called several times and sent everything I need for them to refund my money yet I've not received the money back
