When I bought a new vehicle we added it to my husband's State Farm policy, no problemBut shortly thereafter I moved to a different state to find a new home for usWhen I transferred my policy to New Mexico I had one problem after anotherFirst of all the agent put the wrong address on my policy and the motor vehicle department would not register my truck until that was correctedThen less than a month later I received a letter telling me that my policy was being cancelled because they didn't have necessary information on my husbandThis was a shock, as I got no request for said informationSo I called my agentShe had forgotten to contact me for the necessary details, but assured me we could easily correct the errorI gave her the information and thought the issue was taken care ofAbout ten days later imagine my surprise when I opened a letter from State FarmIt contained a refund check informing me that my policy had indeed been cancelled for that very mistakeSo I had been driving around uninsured! I went directly to the office to inform them and get something done about itThere was no apology, no understanding of my upset, no sympathy for the surprising and distressing situation THEY had created for meThe response was zombie-like and impersonalI waited for them to re-instate the policy once again —with the same information — but will be transferring my insurance to a different company asapVery disappointed!!!

Company wrote and billed me for a policy that I did not request for a person that did not reside at my residence I made over calls to the agency requesting Jeff [redacted] return my call I have not heard from Jeff They final refunded the policy to the wrong person and not to me twice They still have not resolved the issue

To make a long story short, I have been a State Farm customer for years with the same agent The rest of my family has been a customer with the same agent for even longer I had no problems until recently I had a monthly re-occuring payment being taken out using my debit card When my bank finally made the switch over to the chip card, it had escaped my mind to call State Farm to update my card, as they were ALWAYS so good about getting in touch with me in the past (did I mention I had been with them years?!)They NEVER contacted me about my card, even after I contacted the on call service to make a payment once I realized the error On call told me they were unable to help, but they would be contacting my agent and have them call me first thing Monday morning The still did not call I did not receive any letters, emails, phone calls etcI found it a bit convenient that after my policy had been expired for over days, they finally started calling me After speaking with my rep, I was informed that because I had "no coverage" for over days, they would have to re-run all of my information to see if I still qualify for their insuranceMind you, I have not had an accident, ticket, or even been pulled over in over yearsThey ran all of my info while on the phone with me The good news? I still qualified for State Farm auto insurance! The bad news? My monthly insurance premium would be increased by almost 50%! I was paying $89/month and my new rate was quoted at $203/month That is with the year no accident, no ticket discountThey said there was nothing that they could do about it and that it is not like it used to be where they could call their underwriter and explain the situation They told me they "don't care" how long you have been a customer and that if you have "no coverage" for over days that is just what it is I once again explained how long I have been a customer and how disappointed I was and they were not apologetic nor remorsefulI have since found a reputable agency in which my rate is $73/month Win for me! My advice is to look elsewhere for insurance

Statefarm after adding us to their insurance, added two surcharges on our bill They stated it was accidents that had happenedThe accidents that happened were under another insurance (All state)They stated that if a payment was made out then the surcharge is warrantedAgain, they were not my insurance carrier when these accidents took placeThey never said they were adding this surcharge and we were not insured by them when these accidents occured

I rent an apartment in a buildingAll of the sudden, State Farm and their Lawyer [redacted] Associate have been harassing me at work leaving messages , threatening of suingWhy?
