Poor service and product not fixed

On January during delivery of furniture we purchased at Morris Furniture (Springdale Ohio), our hardwood floor was damaged The delivery person photographed the damage and submitted the information to the store After many-many calls to the store this issue has not been addressed by the store They say they are working on the problem but never call or update us Very frustrating*** *** was the person who I spoke with on the phone and he offered no help after repeated calls

11/7/16: We purchased a mattress set & paid for delivery to the bedroom & removal of the old mattress 11/12/16, delivery man, *** asked "to see where the mattress was going", we took him to the room*** walked directly to the bed & said there was "an exoskeleton of a bedbug" (a very dead, dried up husk of an insect) on the mattress & immediately took a picture, with his cell phone without requesting or receiving permission first This took about seconds

I've had two things delivered, and both times the deliveries were late without a phone callThe contract says they will charge a fee if no one is there to take delivery, so it's a shame that they don't hold themselves to the same standards

Myself and my mother (*** Bryan) Purchased a piece living room set, a piece sectional, and a bed frame and bedside table All of these sets were purchased on separate dates I set the deliviery date up for december 3rd It was confirmed december 1st On the second of december I was notified that the shipment was not coming Then I was called back and told only a portion was coming (the piece living room set) and the sectional had not been made Then my mother notified me that they had called her and told her that the sectional had been delivered to someone elses house and that was the true reason it wasn't delivered So a portion of my sectional was actually delivered Since then I have set up different delivery dates for the remainder of the furniture and they have all been canceled by morris furnitre for various reasons and rescheduled This is unacceptable

Enclosed is a copy of a complaint letter I sent to Morris Home FurnishingsI purchased a lift chair in August of last year and since the first week in December I have not been able to get the manufacturer warantee honored by this companyIt has now been months and I am still at square one
I would appreciate your looking into the reasoning that this company cannot assist me in getting the appropriate repair done for the lift chairI live alone and I have a need for this equipment
Given the long time perhaps they could offer a refund since they do not seem to be able to get this chair functioning

I purchased (1500$) a couch set ( large recliner, small) from Ashley's Furniture in Columbus (Sun Center) on 9/3/16, and it was delivered on 9/6/When one of my recliners (small) were delivered it came completely BROKEN! We purchased a new sectional and after it was sand the delivery team left, we started to remove the tags and found a number of defectsI returned to the store and met with the Salesperson and the General Manager and they agreed to replace the furnitureDelivery was set for Dec15, but the day before, I was told that corporate is refusing the exchangeSo, they have your money, they deliver furniture with defects and refuse to make a correction
Well, it's only a few thousand dollars, right? As someone who is known to be vocal, I can promise Ashley/Morris that I will do whatever I can to impact their bottom lineThey're a large company, however with the help of blogs, Facebook, LinkedIn (I have 22K+ connections) I can and WILL, share my experience with thousandsGiven that people talk, the number of people that will be made aware will grow, exponentiallyCertainly enough to cause them to lose a few potential customersOh, and since it's under $5000, I can file a small claim with the court and if nothing else, it's another platform that will allow me to make more people aware of their standard business practice of "screw the customer."

Contacted Guardian (insurance offered by Morris Home Furniture) concerning damages on my sectional that I purchased on 02-21-2015, order # ***
I contacted Morris on 07-08-about getting someone out to my home to look at damages on my sectionalI was told to contact the insurance company that was purchased when I bought the sectionalI then contacted Guardian and informed them of tears in the fabric and framework issues with an armrest and the wedge pieceThey finally sent someone out after a month to look at the damagesThe repair guy came to my home on Monday August 6thHis name was ***He then proceeded to take the material apart from the armrest and then tried to use a brace to hold together the armrest and the couch together and while screwing the screws in, the wood ended up splitting, causing even more damages trying to just get a temporary fix doneHe then proceeded to say that he could not fix the problemHe also mentions that he could not fix the tears
