MovingHelp.com Reviews (353)

OMG. This HAS to be a SCAM. I am taking time out from this move to post this review bc I am SOOO annoyed. Called the movers ahead, being proactive, four times. Left voice mails. Never got a return call. Went to the website, Movinghelp.com. Went to the customer service, "chatted" with someone who DID NOT CARE. They gave me the direct line to customer service. I waited over 20 min all the while being told to remember to go online to customer service. I am stressed. Normally, I check reviews before making a purchase and this time did not do it. I can clearly see other very dissatisfied customers. I AM A HATER OF MOVINGHELP.COM

A full refund of $535.95 was issued when Ms [redacted] cancelled the order discussed on 7/16/2014.  MovingHelp.com does not provide any moving services, we operate a website where independent labor providers can advertise their services (they set their own rates) and customers can hire them....

I hired this company through movinghelp.com prompted by uhaul.com after making a truck reservation. I pre-paid for the services. They were supposed to call to set up the move but never did. I called them and we agreed thay would arrive in my house Saturday at 9 am to begin the move. I had paid 2 movers for four hours. At 8:50 am I received a call from In and Out movers telling me that they were not coming because "they were tired". Uhaul said thay were not responsible even though at the beginning the transaction was originated at their site. Movinghelp.com could not be reached. Finally I hired someone local for a lot more since it was last minute. When I called for a refund no one would help me. Finally someone told at uhaul told me to dispute the charge and told me this happens to 3 out of 5 customers.

I signed up with this company who billed for a moving service called [redacted]. The confirmation page for my payment says to contact them at the phone number above, which was ten zeros! So, I tried to look them up on Google, and they do not come up. So, I tried to contact MovingHelp.com. and they do not have a phone number listed under contact us, you have to send a "message". There was a button that said live chat, so I tried that. The message there said a rep named "[redacted]" would be helping me shortly. Five minutes later, "she" asked how she could help. I explained the situation, and never heard anything else from her! After four minutes of silence, I asked if she was still there, and the chat ended. So, I clicked live chat again, same message saying "[redacted]" would help me, then immediately it changed to [redacted] has ended the chat! So, I tried again, and no one ever clicked on, no message saying anyone would help me! I called my credit card company and started the process to reverse the charges! I am really surprised, because Uhaul's name is also on the home page of movinghelp.com! And I read all those wonderful reviews, which now I know were fake! I should have looked for a company that is Revdex.com accredited. I've learned a painful lesson.

The movers hired through this site were very careless with my belongings and completely unprofessional. They were 2 hrs late then took their time with the move because they were tired from working since 5 am that day and when they packed my storage they literally threw my things in the unit damaging many items like my $300 bike and $800 computer. That's just what I have found so far. When I notified the moving company MOVINGHELP.COM they suggested I try to resolve it with the movers (WEST LOS ANGELES AFFORDABLE GIANT MOVER GUY) when I replied back that I had tried that first to no avail they proceeded to have the horrible moving company that damaged my belongings contact me. Long story short Movinghelp.com has no system of resolution for this type of issue other than to speak to the people that damaged your belongings to begin with. Also they have no system of accountability or screening of moving companies added to their website. I'm filing a complaint because I don't want anyone else to be fooled by paying a company to move you means your move will be less stressful. You will be better off picking up a couple of guys from the uhaul truck pick up.

first order [redacted] submitted was for services for2 men for two hours of labor, not [redacted] delivery Load/unload, which is whatshe needed. The Moving Helper she hired does not provide the delivery serviceso she cancelled that order.  Since itwas not a Moving Helper caused cancellation, customer comments/reviews are notplaced for other customers to view. Again, a full refund for that order was issued the day she cancelled inthe amount of $171.95. When [redacted] cancelled her second order with [redacted]’s,she did so within her customer account and since it was a Moving Helper causedcancellation, the comment she left, “They did not show up and the mover beganswearing at me on the phone” IS viewable to other customers who read hisreviews.  A full refund for thatcancelled order was issued the day she cancelled for $169.95. Please extend our apology for any frustration [redacted] experiencedas a result of the Moving Helper she hired not showing up to complete her job.  We appreciate her communication. Thank you,[redacted]MovingHelp.com

Director, MovingHelp.com

I hired [redacted] through Moving Help per recommendation from a worker at U-Haul. Before the move, I called the movers and left two voice mails to call me back. Never returned my call, so I had to contact moving help who called [redacted] and then told me they would call which they actually did. We confirmed location, time, and all extra items that they would need for the move. We had everything rented, the truck and necessary packing blankets. Moving day comes and after waiting an hour past our agreed upon start time, I contacted moving help again hoping they would get a hold of the movers (I tried calling the movers twice, voice mail was full and left a callback number). Moving Help couldn't reach them either so they sent them an e-mail indicating that the movers needed to contact me ASAP. The moving help customer service said if I didn't hear anything in half an hour that I can schedule a same day mover and that I would have to absorb the additional costs. Not to mention, I had initially hired one of the highest rated movers, so who knows who I would of ended up with for a same day mover. An additional half an hour rolls on by, so they are officially an hour and a half late, I call back moving help, tell them I didn't want a same day mover because I was fed up with all of this as is and asked for a full refund. I will supposedly be receiving this refund in the next few days, but I guess we will see. Never heard from [redacted] at any point to explain why they hadn't shown up. I am sure there are plenty of good independent movers listed on moving help but apparently I didn't hire one.

On a side note, I asked if I could leave a review for [redacted] on the moving help website because they didn't show up but because I cancelled my move order to get my refund, I'm not allowed to leave feedback. Take those reviews lightly; I am sure I am not the only person who had to cancel their service in order to get a refund.

On 12/11/2015 I ordered labor help to load and unload my household stuffs with moving help.com which was linked to my truck rental u-haul. Since there was no reply in an hour to confirm my order from its subcontractor (then Turbo Speed) I cancelled my order with moving help.com; I spoke with one of its customer service teams, and told me the $140.95 that the said firm took from my chase card will be credited or refunded in 3 to 5 days. I got so busy because of my house move, I forgot about checking whether the credit or refund was ever made. Just today, at 2:00am, I checked my account and there was no refunds or credits in the amount of $140.95 in my said account (it was ar over 5 days from the date promised by the said company). I called my bank to file a claim and dispute this amount that was never returned to me by moving help.com. From now on, I will NEVER deal with this Scambug company; a Dishonest and Untrustworthy!!! Their customer service even are Rude and Discourteous!!! Let this be shared to all!!!

FYI, my lawn and driveway, which were damaged, is the property that I am concerned with.  Also, I contracted and paid Moving Help, not the subcontractor. They original told me that their subcontractor was supposed to contact me within 30 days, the subcontractor did not do so.  The subcontractor sent an inexperienced and incompetent driver, he could not handle the trailer and damaged my property.

We do not have control over how quickly your bank removes authorizations. We charged for the service when ordered as stated on our site which explains the charge occurs immediately. Your bank makes the decision when to remove the pending hold after we complete the transaction.I am sorry for...

the inconvenience, but we will not be issuing credit at this time.

Very difficult to resolve issues between MovingHelp.com and the 'movers'. We've spent hours on line, on the phone and on chat and keep getting the run around. Movers are not professionals and you are taking a risk with your possessions.

This company is awful!!! They first cancelled on me the day before my move and then rescheduled me. The day of the NEVER showed up after I spoke to them that morning confirming the appointment. I am trying to leave the specific "company" a review on their website and there is no way to do it. The worse part is that they have great reviews on the website. This is borderline a scam!! The company is "Hands On Loading & Unloading". Do NOT hire them or use movinghelp.com . The day of I chatted with their rep online and they said "Just call us". I did and ended up on hold for 40 minutes and they offered to send an email because "that is all they could do." I ended up having to move all by myself (I'm 5'1'' and 120 llbs female). It was a DISASTER!

This company is not run professionally. They take no responsibility for anything. It took me 4 different calls to get my issues sorted out. I ended up having to pay extra money due to an error that was there fault. They did not even put in any work to try and rectify the issue.
