MovingHelp.com supplies a Payment Code to the customer with the specific direction to not release the Payment Code to the service provider until the work is completed to the customer's satisfaction. Once the Payment Code is given to the service provider, the customer acknowledges that the order...

is complete and the work is satisfactory. Unfortunately, the funds held by MovingHelp.com are immediately dispersed to the service provider once the Payment Code is entered. MovingHelp.com is terribly sorry that Mrs. [redacted] had issues with her selected service provider and we recommend that Mrs. [redacted] file a Resolution Case through her customer account at MovingHelp.com. This will open up a dialogue between Mrs. [redacted] and her selected service provider. Additionally, we have included the service provider's contact information below.

I have tried resolving restitution directly through the Moving Help Service Provider. They refuse any reimbursements, even for services not provided, and are accusing me of damaging my own furniture, despite the fact that I have photos of the damage done and witnesses who saw what happened and can verify that loading help was not provided. I cannot hold a conversation with them as they are extremely rude and unprofessional; and have shut off my ability to post on their dispute form - I can no longer comment after their last post.I tried to resolve this issue as it was happening directly with William but my calls were not answered and after denying $30 cash on the side for a damaged $329 dresser. my texts went unresponded to. I have them on record and would be happy to provide them. I've also attached a copy of my transcript for my resolution attempt directly with Smooth Moves. Their responses are in bold and quotes.

Moving Help is a hard to reach, unreliable business. Scheduled movers are subcontracted and Moving Help claims no responsibility for ensuring their arrival. I had to re-schedule in a panic with a new mover (which took hours being shuffled between [redacted] and Moving Help). Then, I was charged upfront for the move (moving from a dwelling in one city and then moving into a dwelling in another city), then again for each piece of the move. Awkward small credits and charges for those pieces posted to my account after the initial charge, making it difficult initially to see their process of charging for the service. When I disputed the charges with MovingHelp, I was told they can only view the last three months of payments processed (I should note the charge was within 3 months). Finally, I simply disputed the charge with my credit card company. My advice is to hire your own movers and deal directly with a Revdex.com certified company.

DO NOT USE [redacted]! Moving Help is a subsidiary of [redacted], it even has the same address on our charge card transaction. We hired a [redacted] to move some furniture cross-country. The move went fine and the delivery people who are subcontracted out were courteous. However, once you hire a [redacted], their subsidiary Moving Help gets involved. We were charged twice for the pick up and delivery of the moving pod at both ends of the trip. The overcharge amounts to between $500-600. We have disputed the charges through [redacted] twice with no luck. We will talk to [redacted] one more time; however, I suspect the Small Claims Court may need to be our next move, if that is even possible. DO NOT enter into a business relationship with MovingHelp or [redacted]s. And by all means, NEVER give them your credit card number over the phone. They will keep charging and charging and charging and deny any responsibility for anything.

Mrs. [redacted] created a Resolution Case with the Moving Helper on 01/18/16. The Moving Helper asked how the customer would like to resolve the issues on 01/20/16. The customer did not respond with a resolution. The Moving Helper has agreed to come to a resolution with their customer. Mrs. [redacted]...

would need to contact the Moving Helper directly for resolution. Furthermore, the customer reserves the right to cancel their order if the Moving Helper fails to commit to the services requested. In this case, the customer claims that only (2) Moving Helpers arrived when she booked (3) through the business Richard Baton. The customer at that point had the ability to cancel the order and get a full refund. They allowed the Moving Helper to complete the work as well as gave the customer the payment code, indicating that the services rendered were to the customer's satisfaction. This is directly off of the MovingHelp.com customer agreement:"Upon the completion of, and your satisfaction with, the Services, You agree that You will complete the transaction with the Moving Helper by presenting the Payment Code to the Moving Helper. You agree and acknowledge that Your presentation of the Payment Code to the Moving Helper is Your payment to the Moving Helper and Your authorization for the release of any and all authorized payments for the Services. You agree that You are responsible for any and all payments owed to the Moving Helper. You agree that You are not entitled to a refund from Us for any Services that are completed in less time than that amount of time set forth in your Request."I have included the Moving Help contact info for the customer to directly pursue the company.Richard Baton, 614 SE 46th Terrace, Apt 2, Cape Coral, FL 33904(239) 699-2506, (239) 362-5446, [email protected]

As part of that guarantee, the customer, Michael [redacted] was fully refunded for his order. MovingHelp.com is an online Marketplace for individually owned and operated companies to...

list their services. The Moving Helpers are in no way contracted by Moving Help. The customer, stated in the Customer Agreement agreed to at time of booking, enters into a contracted agreement between themselves and the Moving Helper. MovingHelp.com is not responsible to compensate any customer any more than their original amount paid. MovingHelp.com was able to fully refund Mr. [redacted] and we apologize that his Moving Helper, selected personally by Mr. [redacted], was unable to show up for the scheduled work. An email was sent to the Moving Helper suggesting that they utilize the tools that we provide them to block out any times or days that they do not wish to accept jobs. With the customer being fully refunded for services not rendered, MovingHelp.com considers this matter closed.

The funds were released to the Moving Helper on July 26th, 2016. The customer's release of Moving Help's Payment Code authorized the Moving Helper to get paid. At this time, the customer must seek compensation through the Moving Helper. Below is an excerpt from MovingHelp.com's Customer Agreement:4....

[redacted] is providing its name to this company and falsely giving it a positive endorsement. I found a company-Pinellas Movers to pack up my apartment, I paid for services and drove out of town to the apartment to be packed up and the packers never showed up. I had called ahead of time and left a message with the dispatcher, which is the only option I had, and requested to be contacted with an ETA of the packers, but never received that call. I also called the morning of the appointment when they did not show up and again left a message, again that call was never returned.
I should be reimbursed for all of my expenses incurred for having traveled out of town specifically to pack up an apartment this useless service never provided. Additionally, I had to hire a real company to do the job. This was a waste of time and [redacted] should remove their name from all advertising because the unprofessionalism of the entire lack of service provided is a joke.

A full refund of $535.95 was issued when Ms [redacted] cancelled the order discussed on 7/16/2014.  MovingHelp.com does not provide any moving services, we operate a website where independent labor providers can advertise their services (they set their own rates) and customers can hire them....

We would also like Ms. [redacted] to understand at the time of her order she agreed to the terms and conditions for the corresponding transactions between her and the selected service provider.  Included below is a section of the Agreement.4. eMove operates the Marketplace. $170.95 so this was resolved at that point. Thanks,Ryan P[redacted] Program [email protected]

I hired [redacted] through Moving Help per recommendation from a worker at U-Haul. Before the move, I called the movers and left two voice mails to call me back. Never returned my call, so I had to contact moving help who called [redacted] and then told me they would call which they actually did. We confirmed location, time, and all extra items that they would need for the move. We had everything rented, the truck and necessary packing blankets. Moving day comes and after waiting an hour past our agreed upon start time, I contacted moving help again hoping they would get a hold of the movers (I tried calling the movers twice, voice mail was full and left a callback number). Moving Help couldn't reach them either so they sent them an e-mail indicating that the movers needed to contact me ASAP. The moving help customer service said if I didn't hear anything in half an hour that I can schedule a same day mover and that I would have to absorb the additional costs. Not to mention, I had initially hired one of the highest rated movers, so who knows who I would of ended up with for a same day mover. An additional half an hour rolls on by, so they are officially an hour and a half late, I call back moving help, tell them I didn't want a same day mover because I was fed up with all of this as is and asked for a full refund. I will supposedly be receiving this refund in the next few days, but I guess we will see. Never heard from [redacted] at any point to explain why they hadn't shown up. I am sure there are plenty of good independent movers listed on moving help but apparently I didn't hire one.
On a side note, I asked if I could leave a review for [redacted] on the moving help website because they didn't show up but because I cancelled my move order to get my refund, I'm not allowed to leave feedback. Take those reviews lightly; I am sure I am not the only person who had to cancel their service in order to get a refund.

The customer placed two orders on the same day, one was cancelled the same day and the other is what his complaint is about.  Our original response to you was the order was cancelled on 10/28/2014 and a full refund given, that is true for the cancelled order but below is the answer to the...

customer's complaint about the job that was Not cancelled.  In response to Revdex.com complaint filed by Brent Hartley requesting a refund.  On 10/28/2014 an order was submitted by Brent Hartley  through the MovingHelp.[redacted] marketplace in which he selected services.  At that time, [redacted] agreed to the terms & conditions for the corresponding transactions between him and the selected service provider.  Included below is a section of the Payment for Services provision of the Agreement.Upon the completion of, and your satisfaction with, the Services, You agree that You will complete the transaction with the Moving Helper by presenting the Payment Code to the Moving Helper.   You agree and acknowledge that Your presentation of the Payment Code to the Moving Helper is Your payment to the Moving Helper and Your authorization for the release of any and all authorized payments for the Services.  You agree that You are responsible for any and all payments owed to the Moving Helper. You agree that You are not entitled to a refund from Us for any Services that are completed in less time than that amount set forth in Your Request. As stated in [redacted] complaint, he never provided the Payment Code to the Moving Helper so as a courtesy we have issued a full refund of that job of $150.00 to his credit card. The rest of the complaint/refund [redacted] is requesting will have to be worked out with the Moving Helper directly.  Here is the Moving Helper’s contact information so [redacted] can pursue this matter directly with them:[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]2, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Policy was hidden behind layers of blatant and false advertisement. Advertisement to the degree of highlighting this as a non event item as they have direct influence over movers advertised pro/con comparison matrix. Business practice is blatant bait for contract without support structure shown. As noted in reply relying on policy hidden on site and policy.

A full refund was issued to [redacted]'s [redacted] credit card ending in [redacted]. The refund (totaling $340.95) was requested and approved to be credited on June 11, 2016 at 5:50:09 pm (AZ time). The customer, Mrs. [redacted], should already have the credit to her account. If the funds are not in Mrs....

[redacted]'s account, MovingHelp.com recommends that Mrs. [redacted] contact her financial institution regarding the delay, as these funds have already been released by MovingHelp.com. Mrs. [redacted] can contact me, Russ B[redacted], Program Manager for MovingHelp.com at any time and I will be happy to provide her with the proof necessary to show that MovingHelp.com did in fact release the funds to her financial institution. MovingHelp.com considers this matter resolved.[redacted]

Replied via email earlier to resolve issue.  Response noted below for Revdex.com purposes:Hi, [redacted].  I have researched and resolved your issue with credit for your order cancellation. When you canceled your order you checked the box to book another helper, which created a store credit in your...

account rather than a credit card refund.  In your movinghelp.com customer account ([redacted] was the email address used on the order), there's an option to issue a refund of this credit.  I have issued that for you today for $185.95 back to your card.  I apologize for any confusion and you not being able to get help through customer service.I wasn't sure which email address is correct so I'm sending this to both ([redacted] was used on your Revdex.com review).Thank you,Ryan P[redacted]MovingHelp.com

There was a full refund of $105.95 issued to the credit card on file on 8/13/2014.  Please ask [redacted] to refer to the email we sent her on the same date and to check her statement for three credits in the amounts, $5.95, $80.00 and $20.00.Thank you,[redacted]MovingHelp.com

I recently hired movers, through Movinghelp.com, to help load furniture on a truck we will be driving across the country. I initially had no problems scheduling the movers and was enticed to use a new user through their numerous discounts and benefits. While this seemed like a mutually beneficial scheme, it only led to me being scammed by a person, posing as a new moving service, taking advantage of the benefits that customers receive from trying new movers rather than sticking seasoned movers with good review histories. This is an extreme disappointment because the website totes it's movers as safe, convenient, and reliable, which I am no longer inclined to believe after this experience. I was called by the mover to set up and confirm the scheduled moving appointment and the man insisted that I give him the a conformation code. He insisted that we could official schedule the appointment without this code. I was confused and gave him the code since moving help did not give very clear instructions on the process. The man proceeded to complete the order weeks before he was scheduled and when I tried to contact him further he refused to return my calls. Further investigation revealed that the address that was listed on the moving help website was actually a hospital, meaning that the address he supplied was a fake. For a company that tote safety and reliability, it befuddles me that they would not do any background checks or conformations of the legitimacy of the movers that they list on their website. I sought help through the moving help website, but rather then offering to take care of the situation the instructed me to contact the mover and try to resolve the situation with him. They only went as far as sending the offending mover an email from their company and I have not heard a response from them since. Further investigation has shown that the mover has been removed from their website, but again I have not heard anything from moving help and don't feel like I will. I was very disappointed that they did not make any offers of reimbursement and felt like they didn't really care about my bad experience. Because of these things I will not be using moving help again in the future nor would I recommend their services to anyone else.

This company is literally the WORST. If you're looking to throw away money and not get moving help they are the ones to call. I booked with them, the movers showed available for my date and time-- when I called to confirm they were not actually available. I chose a different mover, added more funds because their rates were higher-- same thing happened. After the third try, moving hell automatically quit my attempt and gave me a "we are refunding your money" message. That money never got refunded. $250. I've been waiting three weeks. Every time I call them there is a 20 minute wait. Then they tell me the money was refunded three weeks ago and that's it. Finally yesterday an agent admitted that there was a "glitch" and the money was never actually refunded. They said they would resolve the problem immediately and send an email confirmation. Today I'm back on the phone on hold because no resolution and no email confirming.
