MovingHelp.com Reviews (353)

On 07/20/16, we suggested that Mrs. [redacted] file a Resolution Case in her Moving Help Customer Account (please see previous response). At this time, Mrs. [redacted] has yet to file a Resolution Case with her Moving Helper. A Resolution Case will open up a dialogue between her and her elected Moving Helper. We strongly suggest that Mrs. [redacted] file a Resolution Case so that the Moving Helper has the chance to respond to their customer.

Mr. [redacted]'s original complaint to MovingHelp.com indicated that he was unhappy with the customer service received by the company he contracted on 12/26/2015. The company name is Eastern Region Logistics. Mr. [redacted] stated that the moving company damaged his lawn as well as delayed his...

schedule. He did not mention (in his complaint to MovingHelp.com) that there were damages to his belongings. Regardless, the customer (Mr. [redacted]) would need to pursue a complaint against the Moving Helper, Eastern Region Logistics as he contracted them to do his move. MovingHelp.com is not responsible for the customer service of the Moving Help company, Eastern Region Logistics. Below is the contact information for Eastern Region Logistics:Calvin S[redacted]

Silver Springs, MD 20901

The complaint for [redacted] was resolved, her containers were delivered as requested for no additional cost on April 16th.

This company is awful - they should be shutdown...I booked movers through their service. The movers delayed twice in the day of the move and then canceled in the evening - leaving me with no options but to move myself. It was a nightmare. Meanwhile, not even Uhaul could reach Moving Helpers by phone. We tried 3 times. They are basically a yellow page - they offer no value to the customers and worse - they falsify their position as having any accountability - the only thing they will do is refund. AND - they assign movers that are not available.

MovingHelp.com has fully refunded the Customer, [redacted] with a refund. We are unable to pay for alternate moving help that the Customer booked outside of the Moving Help marketplace. MovingHelp.com considers this matter resolved.

DO NOT USE [redacted]! Moving Help is a subsidiary of [redacted], it even has the same address on our charge card transaction. We hired a [redacted] to move some furniture cross-country. The move went fine and the delivery people who are subcontracted out were courteous. However, once you hire a [redacted], their subsidiary Moving Help gets involved. We were charged twice for the pick up and delivery of the moving pod at both ends of the trip. The overcharge amounts to between $500-600. We have disputed the charges through [redacted] twice with no luck. We will talk to [redacted] one more time; however, I suspect the Small Claims Court may need to be our next move, if that is even possible. DO NOT enter into a business relationship with MovingHelp or [redacted]s. And by all means, NEVER give them your credit card number over the phone. They will keep charging and charging and charging and deny any responsibility for anything.

Our experience with this company was extremely negative. First of all they cancelled on us at 9pm the night prior to moving a desk we purchased. Then we got them to agree to help us since it was a small job. However, they wanted to charge us more than what was quoted online because it was far for them to drive and a small move. The movers (2 of them) arrived 90 minutes late and complained every second they were on the job. They moved at a snail's pace and all they had to move was a desk from one house to another. They couldn't figure out how to wrap the pieces with blankets from U-haul. I ended up wrapping the pieces and taping the blankets on just because they were so slow. I had to get the u-haul truck back (we had it for 6 hours which should have been plenty of time to move a desk 30 minutes away). The owner argued with me that it was too far for him to drive and questioned why we chose him. I asked him why he advertised with U-haul if he didn't want the business and he told me he was trying to "drum up" business. A strange way to do business if you ask me. Stay clear of Movinghelp.com!

DO NOT USE.

I reserved a time for pickup at my storage facility in May 2016. "reserved" the time. They called the day of to say they would be late, I said ok, a few hours I can wait. I waited 2 hours, no problem 2 hours comes and goes and another call, they will be later, 4 hours. ?? I said never mind, I don't need you in 4 hours I need you now. I MOVED EVERYTHING MYSELF.

Now, in November I get a bill for them for services done in May. !!! Are you kidding me? No one answers the phone calls, you can't get live chat online with them, and no one replies to emails. They are not a reputable people to do business with.

I just want everything be to know that this is BS, and NO one should ever use this service as they are not reputable.

The number provided by MovingHelp.com on their response to Revdex.com is the number of the mover who alerted me to this problem. I called and he said he is no longer working for this company because he did several jobs for which he did not get paid. The person who asked me for the code which I should have supplied to the movers, ahead of the actual date of the move, called himself Tristan and his phone number is ###-###-####. He is the person that MovingHelp.com put me in contact with from the start. I also received the email (below) on Feb. 11, 2016, before the date I had moved, Feb. 15, 2016. These are the people who should be taking care of this. I have tried to contact Tristan and he has not responded to my calls since he took my money.

Order cancelled and credit was issued to original card used to place order.  $105.95 credit was issued on 6/30/2014

Thank you,

I`ve had terrible experience with my order from MovingHelp.com. I had made a reservation through [redacted] website on 7/23 and had been trying to contact movers for a week. The movers company name "Beadnik Moving". They had tons of positive reviews on the website. However they did not pickup the phone and did not return my phone calls. Finally I was able to get on the phone with them and confirm move date/time 8/1 at 11am. They did not show up at 11am. I started to call them and left multiple voice messages. Finally they called me back at 12:40pm, this is 1h40mins late and said that they are too busy with some other work and will be at least 3hrs late.

I told them that it will not work for me. They ruined my move. MovingHelp.com holds no responsibility/guarantee for the reservation. Movers are free to decide if they want to show up or not without any consequinces for them. They do not even have to call you to confirm reservation and notify about delays. [redacted] says that they have no relationship with MovingHelp even though I had made my reservation through uhaul.com during moving truck reservation. (Money were refunded)

Stay away from movinghelp.com if you do not want to ruin your move!!!

I was connected with a mover that didn't show up after asking me to wait over an hour and a half past the time that they had confirmed earlier that day.

Not only were they a no-show but they did not communicate (or return my calls or messages) after they didn't show. They finally got back to me around 9 pm and told me they were 'on their way' (this is the same time they claimed they were in a "car wreck").

Communication with them via the MovingHelp site resolution center provides me with the excuse (verbatim quote): "Hello mr. xxx we apologize we were very busy alot of jobs came in you can cancel your order". Note no word of any 'wreck'.

The ~$130 is still on my card. Two weeks later I'm still waiting for it to drop off. After that, I'm only left with a wasted Uhaul charge and half a working day wasted.

In response to Revdex.com complaint ID#:  [redacted] filed by S[redacted] requesting communication and refund for damages caused by the Moving Helper. On  9/26/2015 an...

order was submitted by [redacted] through the MovingHelp.com marketplace in which he selected and defined the amount of hours and crew size for services.  At that time, Mr. [redacted] agreed to the terms & conditions for the corresponding transactions between him and the selected service provider.  Included below is a section of the Payment for Services provision of the Agreement.        Upon the completion of, and your satisfaction with, the Services, You agree that You will complete the transaction with the Moving Helper by presenting the Payment Code to the Moving Helper.   You agree and acknowledge that Your presentation of the Payment Code to the Moving Helper is Your payment to the Moving Helper and Your authorization for the release of any and all authorized payments for the Services.  You agree that You are responsible for any and all payments owed to the Moving Helper. You agree that You are not entitled to a refund from Us for any Services that are completed in less time than that amount set forth in Your Request. As stated in previous communications to Mr. [redacted], by presenting the Payment Code to the service provider he completed the transaction for services as defined in the order.  Any requests for refund should be directed to the corresponding service providers which has received Mr. [redacted]’s payments. Again, here is the Moving Helper’s contact information so Mr. [redacted] can pursue this matter directly with them: [redacted] Sincerely, Vickie MovingHelp.com

As stated, Mr. [redacted] was fully refunded for the services not rendered. MovingHelp.com considers this matter resolved.

Mr. [redacted] filed a Resolution Case against his selected service provider on July 24th and the service  provider responded to the customer on July 28th. The customer has the ability to speak directly with the service provider or respond to the Resolution Case. Below is the response from the...

service provider:"We were made aware of damage to the dresser after removing the plastic wrap and blankets that were on the furniture prior to the move. Customer had furniture wrapped in blankets and shrink wrapped in plastic. Upon getting the dresser up on the second floor customer informed us of the damage. Pictures were taken of the damage. I also explained to the customer I was unsure of "procedures" and explained he would open up a resolution case about the damages. I was given the payment code from the customer but I DID NOT enter the code into the system. I have called local furniture stores in my area to see if I can obtain a replacement piece of furniture or have the furniture repaired at our cost. Our agreeing to replace/fix the dresser does not mean we as Williams Transportation accept responsibility for the damages. I the owner was onsite and was in full direction of this move and this piece was never dropped, banged or "too much pressure" put on this piece. I will follow up with customer."

As indicated, the service provider has agreed to price repair/replacement. It is the responsibility of the customer to pursue this independent service provider directly. MovingHelp.com considers this matter resolved.

Included in this response is a link to the Moving Help terms and conditions in which you acknowledged at the time of booking:

"9. Disputes with Moving Helper and Your Release/Waiver of Liability:

Because we only operate a web site and do not provide any of the Services (as already explained above), We are not responsible for resolving any disputes between You and the Moving Helper regarding the Services or the Moving Helper. You agree that all of these types of disputes must be resolved between You and the Moving Helper.

Furthermore, the Moving Help request and its acceptance and if applicable, any resulting provision of Services, are solely between You and the Moving Helper. Therefore, when and where there are any claims, demands, liabilities, damages or losses incurred as a result of the same, You, your heirs, successors and assigns, do hereby waive and release Us (Our officers, directors, agents, parent, subsidiaries, affiliated companies and employees) from any such claims, demands, liabilities, damages or losses."

You acknowledge and agree that both You and the Moving Helper each have the right to pursue a claim against one another in a Court of competent jurisdiction or in another similar forum of dispute resolution."

Hi, the customer's card did not pass AVS (address verification) twice due to an incorrect billing address being entered, so the first 2 charges were automatically voided. These will show as temporary authorizations, but typically fall off within a day.  I assume that they have been released by...

the customer's bank back on 8/14 or 8/15.

[redacted] is providing its name to this company and falsely giving it a positive endorsement. I found a company-Pinellas Movers to pack up my apartment, I paid for services and drove out of town to the apartment to be packed up and the packers never showed up. I had called ahead of time and left a message with the dispatcher, which is the only option I had, and requested to be contacted with an ETA of the packers, but never received that call. I also called the morning of the appointment when they did not show up and again left a message, again that call was never returned.

I should be reimbursed for all of my expenses incurred for having traveled out of town specifically to pack up an apartment this useless service never provided. Additionally, I had to hire a real company to do the job. This was a waste of time and [redacted] should remove their name from all advertising because the unprofessionalism of the entire lack of service provided is a joke.

[redacted] processed a cancelation on behalf of the customer on June 30, 2016. At that time, the customer, Mrs. [redacted], was fully refunded for the original order placed on June 24, 2016. [redacted] offers a full refund for any services not rendered. We cannot, however, reimburse Mrs. [redacted]...

for alternate movers or restitution due to an independent service provider's cancellation. [redacted] does not employ the service providers; they are independently owned and operated companies. Below is the contact information for Mrs. [redacted]'s selected service provider. [redacted] considers this matter resolved.Daily Movers
