Review: I bought my ticket for the mudderella Boston run on March [redacted] of 2014. When I paid for the ticket I also paid for some merchandise. I did not receive any of the items that I paid for prior to the run on September [redacted] of this year but thought that I would get them at the event as a swag bag, again no such action. I have tried to contact the company multiple times through their website (no phone number listed)and have gotten no response other than them combining the claim tickets. because I purchased my ticket in advance I can no longer dispute the charge with my credit card company.Desired Settlement: publish a phone number as well as return my money or send my merchandise that you charged me for and I never received.

Sincerely,

Review: Mudderella advertised for a race in the [redacted], ma area to take place on sept *, 2014. Then changed the venue 3 times! Just 1 week before the event they moved it to [redacted] Maine, over 2 hours from the original location. The company has not offered refunds and will only allow you to transfer your registration to a later race in 2014 or in 2015. I have no confidence in this company at all and would much prefer a refund .Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of the money that was charged to my credit card.

Review: Boston Mudderella is now being held in the State of Maine. This is the 3rd time this event location has changed. My original contract was for the state of Massachusetts. This was told to us 8 days prior to event.Desired Settlement: Credit to my card for the 95.55

Review: I signed up for a Mudderella Boston race, meaning in which that the event would take place 1.5 hours outside of Boston. The location of the race to be held September *, 2014 changed 4 times. The last change, made on August [redacted], one week before the event announced that the new location was in Maine; now a 4 hours drive to and from for me. I consented to a no refund policy for Mudderella Boston, not Mudderella Maine.

This is a big discrepancy and change of plans and we should be offered a refund. They are offering transfers to other races but I am very disappointed in the organization of this race that I do not want to attend a different one, especially if this is a possible outcome.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund. I have already contacted my bank and opened a dispute as I have no received the goods/services/event as described. The bank temporarily credits the money to my account, but will leave the dispute open for 90 days to collect the funds

Sincerely,

Review: Mudderella event switched venues less than a week before event and is no where near the original event location. They are refusing to give refunds stating it's not in the contract. However, the event is listed in Boston, and when they switched it to Maine, they failed to hold up their end of the contract.Desired Settlement: I request a full refund for myself and my teammates.

Review: I signed up for muderella boston on july [redacted]. Since that date the location has moved to two seperate venues in Massachusetts and then to a third venue, 8 days prior to the event to Maine, two states away. I paid over $200 for my husband and I to participate in this event in Massachusetts. If we had known it would be moved twice and then once again out of state we would never have spent our hard earned money. Mudderella refuses to issue refunds to those who can not go due to the venue change.Desired Settlement: Refund of $233.60

SECOND REQUEST

I expect a positive response to this issue in a timely manner or I will escalate this issue to the next level available through state government or other agencies.

Dear Sirs,

This incident has just come to my attention today concerning registrations for Mudderella Boston.

My daughter, (along with many others) had registered for the Mudderella originally scheduled to take place in Boston. For my daughter, this event was located somewhat close to her college, and at a time at which she would be available to participate. As a college student, funds are limited to register for events such as this; however, because she enjoys these events, [redacted] managed to scrape together the funds to register.

Much to her dismay, the event has now moved it's venue TWICE and the event took place at least 3 hours from Boston in another state. Due to the additional costs involved in travelling to another state, then having additional costs for hotels, not to mention taking time away from school and work that would not have to have been taken if the event took place in the original Boston venue, [redacted] chose to not attend the event.

It is my understanding that refunds are not forthcoming for this event, despite the two venue changes which would have resulted in additional monetary and time costs for participants. I understand that the participants were told their registrations may be changed to a future Mudderella event, but there was no mention of refund. I find this unacceptable and am requesting a full refund be made to [redacted]. Registering for a future event is NOT an option in [redacted]'s case as her school, internship, and work schedule take her worldwide at various times; she specifically registered for the Boston event due to the location, time, and date.

Please remit a full refund to [redacted] at [redacted] immediately.

I may be reached at ###-###-#### home or cell ###-###-####. [redacted] may be reached at ###-###-####.

I look foward to prompt resolution of this issue.

Thank you,Desired Settlement: full refund; otherwise, this business is simply scamming consumers.

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Mudderella LLC regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because: Mudderella continues to state that NO refund is due; they state it doesn't matter how many times they change the venue, date, or time of the event, once a person has registered, NO refunds are due. This doesn't make any sense at all; it's obviously a scam. Who would register for something blindly, not caring when the date, time, or venue of the event would be?

Sincerely,

Review: I signed up for the Mudderlla event near Boston in May 2014 for an event to be held on Sept *. The organizers have changed the venue twice. The most recent change moved the event from Mass to Maine. This creates a hardship as it is over a 3.5 hour drive each way from my home. I never would have signed up for the event given the distance from my house if I knew it was in Maine. While they have aplogized for the inconvenience, they have refused to give refunds. They have offered the chance to transfer to another event. However, these are in other parts of the country....a very unreasonable offer. I have no idea of my plans for 2015 and don't want to be tied to their future plans...and the viability of their company. I want my payment back.Desired Settlement: I would like my credit card credited for the $106.18 that was charged for this event. I greatly appreciate your assistance.

Review: Mudderella Boston was supposed to be held in [redacted], MA, then was switched to [redacted], MA and now has moved to [redacted], ME. This change of venue at the last minute makes attending impossible do to the excessive commute and they refuse to give a refund. They are offering selecting a new date in 2015 when there are not any currently scheduled. I would NEVER have signed up for an event in Maine and feel it is their obligation and duty to refund the money they took in good faith when the called this a Boston Mudderella.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund on my payment for a race that I can not longer attend due to their change of venues to Maine - Not even close to Boston.

Review: Boston Mudderella advertised their event to be held in [redacted], MA. I purchased my ticket based on the location. Soon after, they changed the location to [redacted], MA, which is farther away from me and from all those who are in the Boston Area. A week away from the race, the venue was changed AGAIN to Maine!!!! I would have NEVER purchased my ticket had I known that this event was in Maine. Many participants including myself have to consider spending money on a hotel and more on gas! This is a breech of contract and false advertisement. You cannot have people pay for an event called "Boston Mudderella" and expect us to be satisfied with a transfer to a future race when Mudderella's track record is horrible.Desired Settlement: Voidable contract including refund to participants

Sincerely,

Review: I signed up for the mudderella race in March. I signed up for the Boston event, which was switched to an alternate venue in Boston, no problem, a little bit further but still doable. Now with only a week left the venue is moved to Maine, I can not travel to Maine, nor would I have ever signed up for this race in the first place if these were my only options because I know I could not travel further than Boston. It is not fair to make me pay for someone else's mistake, especially since I would not have EVER agreed to that in the first place. I paid over 95.46, I would like my money back.Desired Settlement: A full refund!

Sincerely,

Review: I signed up to participate in the Mudderella event originally scheduled to take place in Boston, MA on September *, 2014. I completed my registration in April of 2014. and since that time I have received notice of multiple venue changes. Originally, the event was slated to be held at [redacted] in [redacted], MA. A little over a month ago, the venue of the event was changed to [redacted] in [redacted], MA. This change was not a problem, as it was only a slight distance from the original venue. However, on Friday August **, 2014 at 2:20 p.m. (8 days prior to the event) I received another email informing me of yet another venue change. This time, the race had been moved to [redacted], ME. This changes the travel time necessary fro me and my time to arrive from slightly over 1 hour, to over 2 hours, minimum. Additionally, Mudderella stated that they would not be adjusting the start time of any of the registered teams, and that there would no longer be parking at the actual event site. While Mudderella apologized for the inconvenience, claiming that the circumstances surrounding the venue changes were out of their control, they are not offering any refunds. The only options they are giving to registered teams and participants is the opportunity to transfer registrations to either another event in 2014 or to save registrations for future events in 2015. There are no events remaining in 2014 that are anywhere in the surrounding vicinity of New England, and there have not been any locations or dates released yet for 2015 Mudderella events. According to the Mudderella website, they "hope" to be able to hold another event in this area next year, provided they get enough support and demand to do so. Therefore, the organization cannot guarantee that there will even be a race in the area next year to transfer registrations to. I contacted Mudderella and asked if they could clarify some details about the new location, since they declared they would not be releasing any further details about parking until Wednesday September *, 2014. This event holds a very personal significance for me, but unfortunately sue to all of the changes and the lack of cooperation from Mudderella, I do not believe my team and I will be able to attend. Not only is the travel time an issue, but also the parking situation poses a problem, which is why I asked them to contact me further for assistance. It is very upsetting that they have chosen to ignore the many requests fro refunds. While Mudderella states it is their policy to not allow the issuance of refunds, the circumstances surrounding this particular instance are completely absurd and they are occurring only a week before the event is supposed to take place. It is outrageous, and I am very dissatisfied with the organization and what they falsely claim to support. I signed up to participate in an event in Boston, NOT Maine, or even New England.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my money refunded so that I may choose to donate it to the organization that is supposedly being supported, Futures Without Violence.

Review: As you have probably heard, Mudderella Boston moved the event venue to Maine 8 days before the scheduled event. They are refusing to refund the registration fee for participants who are no longer able to attend at the new location.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the full amount of my registration fee.

Sincerely,

Review: Mudderella puts on a mud run/ obstacle course. It advertised a course in [redacted] they called MUDDERELLA BOSTON. That event site switched to a site in [redacted] a little further away. Then Today aug.** at 2pm I received email notification of yet another event site change but this time in Maine. I live in Fall River Ma and the original site was already a long trip for me. Due to babysitter issues and transportation issues I can absolutely not attend a mud run in MAINE!

This event was paid for directly out of my checking account in the amount of $127. That is a very big expense and they refuse to refund the amount. The company's offer of a "transfer registration" to a future event in unacceptable. There is no event they offer that fits me needs.

Since Mudderella LLC changed the "Boston" event to an entirely different state 2 states away only a week before the run, I do no feel their NO REFUND policy is legal.

In addition, I have legitimate concerns about the safety of an obstacle course thrown together in an entirely different state just days before the event. All in all this event is NOT what was advertised and what I paid my hard earned money for. Shame on this poorly run company! I feel for those that raised money for "charity" in this events name.Desired Settlement: I expect a full and VERY timely refund for my registration fee of $127. Tis money was debited immediately and I expect immediate credit in turn.

Sincerely,

Review: On February **, 2014, I purchased a ticket to participate in the Mudderella event in [redacted], Massachusetts on September *, 2014. I was confirmed through email and my credit card was charged for the price of $74.30. On August **, 2014, I received another email from Mudderella stating that the venue has been changed to [redacted], Maine. I was told that I would not receive a refund if I could not make this event and would lose out on my money. We also had the option of participating in the event next summer 2015, but it is not confirmed that there will be an event in [redacted], MA.Desired Settlement: I think that the business should refund the $74.30.

Sincerely,

Review: I signed up for Mudderella Boston on April **, 2014. Registration fees cost me $95.55. When I signed up I agreed to register for the Boston Mudderella to take place in [redacted] on Saturday, September *, 2014. On July **, 2014, Mudderella sent all participants an email informing us that there was a venue change. It was to a town only a few miles away from the initial venue, so I was still able to attend. On Friday, August **, 2014, EIGHT days before the day of the run, Mudderella informed all participants of a second venue change. This time it was an hour away from the venue in [redacted], ME. This is over 2 hours from me, and it is no longer possible for me to attend. Mudderella is offering a transfer for free to another future Mudderella event. However, they are refusing to offer participants the offer to receive a refund for the registrations fees. I cannot attend the September ** 2014 race due to Mudderella's change in venue. I am unhappy with the way they have handled this and have no desire to attend a future event with this company.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for my registration fees of $95.55.

Sincerely,

Review: I signed up for Mudderella BOSTON that takes place on Sept [redacted] 2014. The event was originally supposed to take place in [redacted], MA. They changed the location 3 weeks ago to [redacted], MA. Then on Friday, 8 days prior to the event, they changed the location to [redacted] Maine. I understand this company has a no refund policy, and it's in the waiver we sign when we register. However, I also signed up to do an event in the Boston area, not an event that is located 2 1/2 hours away, which means more gas, tolls, mileage on my car and a 5 hour day of driving. I emailed the company asking for a refund since we are no longer able to attend and all they offered was a free transfer to another event in 2014 or 2015. The remaining events in 2014 would also require airfare and hotel, and they don't have a Boston event posted for 2015 as of right now. I find it unacceptable to expect that people will know this far in advance if they can participate in a year. Tough Mudder had this issue when I was signed up a year ago and they refunded our money. Mudderella should do the same. It is not the customers fault they had to change locations, especially to one that is so far away from the original location.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of the purchase price. order [redacted], for 2 participants, totaling $169.86.

Sincerely,

Review: March *, 2014- My partner and I purchased two tickets to Mudderella Boston in [redacted] Mass for $84.93 each ticket.

July **, 2014- Mudderella changed the venue to [redacted] Mass

August **, 2014- Mudderella changed the venue to [redacted] ME

The original event we signed up for would be an hour and a half from our homes. We stayed with the event while it changed to [redacted] as it added an additional 15 minutes. But the latest change that was only one week before the event made it so that the event was over 3 hours from our homes. We were going to be unable to attend due to this change. We requested a transfer in order to have Mudderella stay in contact with us. But are unsatisified that their changes lead us to belive that this could happen again at a future event. Mudderella is unable to be reached except through automated emails and forms and is not responding to our requests.Desired Settlement: We would like to have a refund our our $169.56

Review: My team signed up for the Mudderella event in Boston and paid $95 each. It was originally advertised as being held in [redacted] and then 2 weeks ago it changed to [redacted]. Only a fifteen minute difference so no big deal, I was planning on a 2hr drive each way anyway. On 8/**, a week before the event is scheduled, we get an email saying that yet again the location is changing to [redacted], Maine. So this makes my drive now 4 hrs each way, impossible. This is no longer a Boston Mudderella,it is in another state all together. Instead of offering us full refunds as now we cannot make the drive, they are only offering us transfer credit to a Mudderella event next year but they do not have anything scheduled nor can they say if there will be any offered in this area. I think we deserve a full refund as this is not what was advertised.Desired Settlement: Everyone should be entitled to a full refund. I wouldn't even care if they took some money out as long as it went to the charity and no in their pockets.
